Just when you thought Zack Snyder and Warner Bros. couldn't pack any more characters into their follow up to Man Of Steel, it seems there's a decent chance Doomsday will also feature in Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice. Click on for more..

We know there will be villains other than Jesse Eisenberg's Lex Luthor in Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice, but aside from some rumors we don't know who they are yet. Well, add another such rumor to the list as Bleeding Cool reckon one of 'em will be that quiet, peaceful fellow who once killed Superman. They cite reliable sources as having got a glimpse at some official character designs for none other than Doomsday. Now as the site themselves point out, this doesn't mean he will actually make the final cut of the movie, and these could have been very early designs from a completely different version of the script. Plus, as reliable as Bleeding Cool usually are, it's difficult to know what to believe when it comes to this movie right now with so many fake rumors floating around. But, a powerful physical opponent for Supes and his pals is pretty much a given, and Doomsday could set up some very interesting things for future films. What do you guys think?

Whoops. My bad.
ndwwrestler2 - 7/10/2014, 6:41 AM
I could kind of see a Doomsday-like setup for Dawn of Justice.
Maven - 7/10/2014, 6:42 AM

Isn't Doomsday in that insane script?
Pasto - 7/10/2014, 6:42 AM
Here we go...
MrReese - 7/10/2014, 6:43 AM
I hope not.

JayJayCAW - 7/10/2014, 6:43 AM
If he's there I hope it's for only a more teaser type dea for a future instalment, The movie is loaded enough.
Maven - 7/10/2014, 6:44 AM
Sure those designs weren't drawn by Kevin Smith, BR?
GreenLantern519 - 7/10/2014, 6:44 AM
"It is the DAWN of Justice after all, not the wake." My feelings exactly. It's way too early to kill Superman and bring him back.

A Chip Off The Old Bat
Doopie - 7/10/2014, 6:44 AM
I don't know what to believe about this film any more
Pasto - 7/10/2014, 6:45 AM
Well lets add it all up:
- Superman statue destroyed.
- People laying roses on the remnants almost as a way to remember Supes.
- The supposed fake script had Doomsday in it but we was a genetically enhanced killing machine created by Lex Luther to simply kill Supes.
Pasto - 7/10/2014, 6:46 AM
So I wouldn't be surprised if he is indeed in this film.
Lozzy - 7/10/2014, 6:58 AM
This movie.

Fun Fact: 'The Iron Giant' (easily one of the best animated films in existence) only made $31,333,917 with budget of 50 million.

ONLY if when he kills Superman, the characters think he's dead but they don't try and fool the audience only to bring him back for some silly reason because if so that's cheap, bad writing and takes future weight away from future deaths.
JR - 7/10/2014, 7:04 AM
so the script is an early draft right?................

Damn! I was really hoping for Blackie Sarto.

This movie is going to suck just like MoS....it will leave people divided at best. MoS only appeals to the simple minded people.
QuestionDAnswer - 7/10/2014, 7:06 AM
This should be Doomsday's entrance music when he arrives to Metropolis.

fettastic - 7/10/2014, 7:06 AM
Henry Cavill did say he really wants to fight Doomsday in a movie. Could he have been alluding to this one?

It could dovetail with the reports of Superman dying, which prompts the building of the statue and reports of extras being shot leaving flowers at it.

Seems like you'd need a whole movie to do that justice, or at least half a movie.

I stand by the idea that they are using the original Batman vs. Superman script as a skeleton for this one. Wolfgang Peterson was going to direct it if memory serves, and there was a real clash at Warner Bros. about it as to whether or not they should introduce solo films first. Ultimately, that's what happened and Batman Begins and Superman Returns got greenlit.

So I was not surprised at all when Batman v Superman was announced.

That script sounded awesome so I really hope key elements are present in this one. An older Batman (nudge, nudge) is sullen and bitter after the death of his wife. He is beating the living shit out of criminals. Superman tries to talk him down but it escalates into an epic fight. They eventually team-up and go after the main villain.

The script was actually pretty good. It didnt feel overstufed amd characters were explored and balanced well. I just felt that some of the dialogue between Clark and Martha were awkward at times.

But from set photos it looks like what we will get similarly.
The set photo of the statue definitely has me thinking that the leaked one is an early draft.
If it is its a good foundation to work on and improve. But im pretty sure its not a final copy.
Ignition - 7/10/2014, 7:08 AM
2 more years of this shit.
Karmatron - 7/10/2014, 7:08 AM
The only way Doomsday could work in this Movie is if at the end he kills superman.

There is no other wat to use him and even though it is too early to kill supes
AstonishingArachnid - 7/10/2014, 7:09 AM
Doomsday is probably going to be set up but not appear. Maybe a sidevillain in the Justice League released by [main villain] to keep superman and the League busy?
JoshuaGraham - 7/10/2014, 7:09 AM
I don't think the death of superman storyline will have any part in this movie, im just guessing they will be using doomsday for the final battle of the movie with the trinity defeating him.

Supposedly one of the extras at the statue scene stated that they were laying down flowers for the victims who died from the explosion that destroyed the statue and not for superman.
Demongod20 - 7/10/2014, 7:09 AM
God I hope Doomsday is in this movie.
FordEl - 7/10/2014, 7:10 AM
also Doomsday was in the leaked script as well and included pretty much every rumor.....
spidey1994 - 7/10/2014, 7:11 AM
That's right Warner Brothers, keep throwing everything at the wall to see what sticks.
J619SD - 7/10/2014, 7:12 AM
There is a Doomsday teaser on the MoS blu ray if I'm not mistaking. Little early to bring him in. Maybe the designs are for a future Movie?
FordEl - 7/10/2014, 7:12 AM

People who think people are stupid for having a different opinion other than your own are stupid.
BatGOD - 7/10/2014, 7:13 AM
I'll just be honest here...That script was GOOD AF! How any DC comics fan couldn't love it is beyond me......I actually don think it's fake but maybe a really hastily written first draft when Terrio came aboard.
Klone - 7/10/2014, 7:13 AM
Superman's death though should mean more than some controversy to create attention and buzz like Zod's murder, which was immediately forgotten about in the film after it happened.
fettastic - 7/10/2014, 7:13 AM
Or maybe in the post-credits scene an excavation crew unearths an asteroid buried underground. They drill it open and we see a hulking mass charge out and tear them to shreds. As it emerges into the light, we see the unmistakable spikes of Doomsday highlighted. CUT TO BLACK!

Set up for Man of Steel 2 which was recently announced.
TheBrownHornet - 7/10/2014, 7:14 AM
Maybe it'll work. Maybe it's too much... Not quite sure which one.
BatGOD - 7/10/2014, 7:14 AM
The script had Doomsday with Supes "dead" at the end. This lead into a cool introduction to the GL corps.....if you didn't like that script you obviously don't read the comics. It was great.
