Starfox - 4/2/2014, 8:41 AM
It's an Awesome CBM!! Truly a Masterpiece!

TDK is a different type of beast though.
113 - 4/2/2014, 8:43 AM
Lol @QuestiontheAnswer called it.

I can't wait to see this, it's looking like the best Marvel movie yet to be honest.
THORION76 - 4/2/2014, 8:47 AM
Marqy - 4/2/2014, 8:48 AM
Not just marvel ... one of the best cbms ever
RamonSuarez - 4/2/2014, 8:54 AM

That is my issue with TDK. It doesn't hold up so well after the first time.

I dunno if this film is better though.
m0th3r - 4/2/2014, 9:00 AM
Some scenes in TDK hold up very well...Magic Trick scene...the Kidnapping in Hongkong..and the car chase...the rest...as awesome as it was the first time not so much...

Which is funny, because i liked MoS more after re-watching(twice)
ProfessorX - 4/2/2014, 9:09 AM

Holy crap, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. had another good episode. Amazing. There was actually genuine tension in the episode.
SageMode - 4/2/2014, 9:27 AM
Marvel's "TDK"

REPOST: so the majority of this films notoriety is gonna be based around one actor's performance?
ComicsBornAndBred - 4/2/2014, 9:35 AM
It's tied wih TDK for greatest CBM. They are two different beast and one is better than the other. TDK is a better film in terms of acting and ferociousness as well as Being more cerebral and visceral I. Abuja. Sense. cap 2 has better action, spectacle, scale and it's political thriller. It's more of true superhero film with a dash of political conspiracy while TDK is more of a crime thriller
ComicsBornAndBred - 4/2/2014, 9:35 AM
Isn't better
ComicsBornAndBred - 4/2/2014, 9:39 AM
TDK Is more human and visceral. It's a cerebral masterpiece with fantastic acting. CAP 2 is a masterpiece in terms of action and spectacle and it's more than just a superhero film it's political thriller. It learned from TDK. TDK made people realize that superhero films can be more than a CBM.. TDK was a crime thriller as well. TDK did it first and Cap built upon it. They're are tied as best CBM. Reviews are atill coming in. If Cap is praised by critics and not just the public and CBM fans like TDK was then it'll be tied with TDK
Lancer1 - 4/2/2014, 9:41 AM
less than 24 hrs for me to go......woooo I am so pumped for this film
Ineedrevelation - 4/2/2014, 9:41 AM
For everyone saying TDK is better (not true) think about this, would that movie be great if it wasn't for Heath Ledger?

...Don't worry I'll wait.
Brainiac13 - 4/2/2014, 9:44 AM

Brainiac13 - 4/2/2014, 9:46 AM

There is no logic to your comment!

ComicsBornAndBred - 4/2/2014, 9:48 AM
@Indeedrevelation ye it would. Heath made it spectacular but the film itself was still a masterpiece technical wise...cinematography, acting, scale, story, dialogue, symbolism, ...it's one of the best crime thrillers ever. Heath did add a lot to it but it would've still been the best CBM without him. Cap 2 is the only film that an stand next to it
ComicsBornAndBred - 4/2/2014, 9:48 AM
@Braniac3000 much respect for you
Brainiac13 - 4/2/2014, 9:51 AM

SageMode - 4/2/2014, 10:06 AM
TDK was treated more as a crime thriller than a superhero movie with a crime thriller theme to it.

And from what I hear about CA TWS, it explores an equal balance in thematics as far as being a political thriller while still embracing its comic book roots as a superhero/comic book movie first and foremost.
ComicsBornAndBred - 4/2/2014, 10:11 AM
@SageMode you're correct. That what I'm tryna say. They are two films that are not only superhero films but also something else in the film genre and that's what makes them both the best CBMs were. They're the only CBMs to mesh superhero genre with another genre that's more visceral and complex and unexpected from a CBM...the crime thriller and political conspiracy.
bropous - 4/2/2014, 10:13 AM
Ineedrevelation: Of course not.

Ledger was the only bright spot in the entire movie, and even then, even he could not save a lame-assed third act.

Maggie Gyllenhall was as ugly as a blue-assed baboon walking backwards.

And to clal Dork Knight "cerebral" is to make a cat laugh.

You goddamned delusional Nolanite zombies, I tell ya...
blkchi - 4/2/2014, 10:13 AM
Cant wait should be awesome cap will be kicking butt and for all the tdk fans avengers hands down is the best cbm the action alone.
DrunkenNukem - 4/2/2014, 10:16 AM
TWS is an amazing film indeed...but comparing it with TDK its wrong because they are not similar, in plot, tone...both movies are amazing in their own way..doesnt make them similar
Omarvls - 4/2/2014, 10:16 AM
I picked TWS as my all time best comicbookmovie of all time
but the fact that a debate has started between TWS and TDK is great news for the Comicbookmovie industry going forward the fact that after 2008's The Dark Knight a Masterpiece of a film and 6 years later the Comicbookmovie industry was able to release another Masterpiece in The Winter Soldier is Great news moving forward for Both Marvel/DCWB
ComicsBornAndBred - 4/2/2014, 10:17 AM
@bropous I'm not some hardcore Nolannite but you have to appreciate TDKs masterful take on the superhero genre. Cap 2 wouldn't be able to make itself more than just a superhero film without TDK. I love Cap 2 and it's tied with RSK for the greatest CBM ever. It is continuously re-watchable unlike TDK I'll give you that.
ComicsBornAndBred - 4/2/2014, 10:18 AM
Both films are just too different but they both mix genre better than any other CBM AND THAT MAKES TEN TIED FOR THE BEST.
DrunkenNukem - 4/2/2014, 10:20 AM
And in my opinion TWS is the best Marvel movie because its a major step foward from the MCU...in about Cinematography, direction, and plot

And you can see clear that Chris Evans has grown as an actor with the role
DrunkenNukem - 4/2/2014, 10:22 AM
The thing im intrigued by now is how is this going to affect the Agents of SHIELD tv show...
Inhuman - 4/2/2014, 10:27 AM
This episode was amazing. Watch it again and you'll pick up the easter egg to Winter Soldier. When Simmons is talking to Fitz and she all of a sudden says something is happening all the agents are running and then she gets cut off that means SHIELD is being breached and all the hectic shit that goes down in Winter Soldier is starting to happen. Thats why the stinger to the episode is showing Nick Fury chase scene. That chase scene was happening in real time with the show. SHIELD is being attacked and destroyed while this episode is occurring. So basically this entire episode happens concurrently with the first half of Winter Soldier, and then the end of the episode ends in the middle of the Winter Soldier movie cause thats when shit goes down Im assuming, and then next weeks episode happens after Winter Soldier is completed.

Agents Of SHIELD "End Of The Beginning" starts
Captain America: The Winter Soldier starts
Agents Of SHIELD "End Of The Beginning" ends
Middle Of Captain America: The Winter Solder/Nick Fury Chase Scene
Captain America: The Winter Soldier ends
Agents Of SHIELD "Turn, Turn, Turn" starts
