"Critics" TV Spot For CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE WINTER SOLDIER Features New Footage

The first "Critics" TV spot for Anthony and Joe Russo's Captain America: The Winter Soldier has been released, and as you might expect, there's plenty of praise to go around for Marvel Studios' latest effort. However, some of this new footage could be considered rather spoilery...

After the cataclysmic events in New York with The Avengers, Marvel’s “Captain America: The Winter Soldier” finds Steve Rogers, a.k.a. Captain America, living quietly in Washington, D.C. and trying to adjust to the modern world. But when a S.H.I.E.L.D. colleague comes under attack, Steve becomes embroiled in a web of intrigue that threatens to put the world at risk. Joining forces with the Black Widow, Captain America struggles to expose the ever-widening conspiracy while fighting off professional assassins sent to silence him at every turn. When the full scope of the villainous plot is revealed, Captain America and the Black Widow enlist the help of a new ally, the Falcon. However, they soon find themselves up against an unexpected and formidable enemy—the Winter Soldier.

PAF - 3/30/2014, 11:10 AM
That scene with Steve and Bucky at the end omg. I had the biggest lump in my throat. This movie is just amazing. Go see it. Everyone.
Scarilian - 3/30/2014, 11:11 AM

Basically when things go south we get to see pretty much everybody against our hero - we have daylight attacks on members of SHIELD and we have high level political figures pulling the shots. Even the 'good guys' are not in the right here. Not sure how that compares to the 70's political thrillers, but its definitely a modern political thriller.
kinghulk - 3/30/2014, 11:13 AM
this movie is incredible, tied for 1st in the list of my favourite superhero film ever.
ALmazing - 3/30/2014, 11:15 AM

I REALLY hope that Marvel takes notes from these guys in regards to how they handle most of their heroic films. Cap looks like it's going to become one of the best trilogies out of the MCU.
SuperCat - 3/30/2014, 11:24 AM
ComicsBornAndBred - 3/30/2014, 11:24 AM
Cap is taking a loooooooong fall in that one scene
marvel72 - 3/30/2014, 11:28 AM
the avengers & iron man were my two favorite comic book movies, captain america the winter soldier is better than both movies.

for me its the best comic book movie i have ever seen.
AndrewWebs25 - 3/30/2014, 11:28 AM
Yeah, best Marvel and Superhero movie ever, I probably go for the second time to see this masterpiece
Semperfi742 - 3/30/2014, 11:28 AM
@Almight You and your gif have expressed how I am feeling right now. From the second they announced this movie I knew it would be epic but seeing how it has resonated with the critics and the audiences who have seen it is just.. Overwhelming for me. I feel like I know how batman fans felt after TDK. Amazing time to be a Cap fan!!!
Equivocal - 3/30/2014, 11:28 AM
if this movie makes close to $800 million at the Box Office;

will dc/warner move their bats vs. supes date on 2016 ?

Bekss - 3/30/2014, 11:29 AM
To be honest some of you might think the movie is like 1 minute too long at the middle (not me) but the 3rd act is really amazing.
Best CBM of all time.
UltimateHunt - 3/30/2014, 11:29 AM
Does who has seen it, I have a question, well more like, shut up! Nobody spoileD for you guys, I havemt seen nothing an this film besides 2 trailers and thats it. It will be my 1st movie with nonspoiled footage at all :D
--(ROBOCOP)--Thank you 4 your corporation
Scarilian - 3/30/2014, 11:31 AM

Well Marvel certainly wont be moving Captain America 3 - considering the second is looking to make a minimum of $600-700 Million. Not sure what DC is doing - but if Cap2 gets around $800 million then Cap3 will easily pass 1bn.
Bekss - 3/30/2014, 11:31 AM

Not trying to start a flame war, but WB needs to move BvS no matter how much money it makes.
Joementum - 3/30/2014, 11:31 AM
Awesome Sauce !
TheIlluminati - 3/30/2014, 11:32 AM
@Scarilian thanks bro!!! Sounds like a basass mofo movie
McNyagano - 3/30/2014, 11:33 AM
My review will be up in a minute. Great film! Hope it banks as much money as possible.
SmokinIndo - 3/30/2014, 11:34 AM
Where the [frick] is Steve Weintraub's review? They quoted it in the tv spot but I cant find it anywhere.
Abary - 3/30/2014, 11:35 AM
Does Cap knock his memory back?
ProfessorX - 3/30/2014, 11:37 AM
The movie was incredible, and I say it takes the #1 place from TDK because they really nailed both the hero and the villain in this. Captain America and the Winter Soldier both feel like they were ripped straight out of the comic books.
Scarilian - 3/30/2014, 11:40 AM

No problem - you'll enjoy it. Going to see it again tomorrow :3
ALmazing - 3/30/2014, 11:41 AM

jazzman - 3/30/2014, 11:43 AM

i also love the movie. just watched it today and im so shock how good it was. even the supporting characters like The Falcon, Winter Soldier, Black Widow was handle so well.
ComicsBornAndBred - 3/30/2014, 11:46 AM
You don't fear greatness, you welcome it
SageMode - 3/30/2014, 11:47 AM
Looks like Marvel has raised the bar on themselves once again.

5 more days.
Bekss - 3/30/2014, 11:47 AM
You really need to see it so I can ask about the possible future of Falcon.
Scarilian - 3/30/2014, 11:49 AM
He wont be in AoU however he'll probably be in Cap 3.
