New Concept Art Images For Captain America: The First Avenger Revealed!

Joe Johnston and Marvel's comic book adaptation Captain America: The First Avenger has been playing in theatres worlwide for a couple of months now, but it's always cool to see some new concept art images and early 3D modeling for the film. Hit the jump to see the latest set of photos from artist Nathan Schroeder.

We have seen couple of concept art images for Captain America: The First Avenger, directed by Joe Johnston, and now here are some more. Artist Nathan Schroeder shared some of them on his website, including some early 3D modeling for the film. Check out the pics below, along with his thoughts on working on this project.

"This was another great opportunity to work with my idol, Joe Johnston, whom I have admired since his days working on the original STAR WARS. Rick Heinrichs designed this film which takes place during WWII. Nazis, secret airplanes, the World's Fair -¿½ l the stuff that makes for a great action film, and a thoroughly wonderful time spent illustrating."

Thanks to DCMF for the heads up.

Captain America: The First Avenger will be released on DVD & Blu-Ray next month.

"Captain America: The First Avenger" will focus on the early days of the Marvel Universe when Steve Rogers (Chris Evans) volunteers to participate in an experimental program that turns him into the Super Soldier known as Captain America. As Captain America, Rogers joins forces with Bucky Barnes (Sebastian Stan) and Peggy Carter (Hayley Atwell) to wage war on the evil HYDRA organization, led by the villainous Red Skull (Hugo Weaving.)

Nazi symbols on the aircraft! Very good artwork . Still would have like to seen Cap vs. Nazis. Seeing the luftwaffe symbols look more WWII than the octopuss.

The suit looks like a combination between the WW2 one and the modern one, I think it looks the best.

This is a little off topic but I found a cool pic of what Cap could have looked like for the Avengers movie if they hadn't, umm, screwed it up (imo).

Caps costume in The Avengers looks horrible! At least the one in CA:TFA looked great! Excellent translation into film! I guess the next question to ask is, what happen to Chris Evans' bulk? IMHO, his bulk was just enough to pass for in CA:TFA. Now he looks like ex-boyfriend #2 from Scott Pilgrim. SMH.

@Allyson, not to be rude, but why would Bucky be putting Cap in a choke like hold holding a wrench about to bash him? (pst... it's not Bucky) :P
MartianSupermanhunter22 - 9/23/2011, 11:11 PM
Hey cap looks like Arnold in the sixth picture.
bhorwith22 - 9/23/2011, 11:50 PM
@SpiderFan35 That would have looked great, if they removed the stupid thin strips under his eyes, or made the cowl go down to his nose.

I love the 3D render thingy, it feels like it belongs in a game. A somewhat fun game. I actually originally thought it was. Silly me.
