Samuel L. Jackson Stars As Nick Fury In Sky Broadband Tie-In CAPTAIN AMERICA 2 Commercial

As a UK cross-promotional effort between a U.K. internet service provider and Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Samuel L. Jackson reprises Nick Fury role for this TV ad, during Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.

After the cataclysmic events in New York with The Avengers, “Captain America: The Winter Soldier” finds Steve Rogers, aka Captain America, living quietly in Washington, D.C. and trying to adjust to the modern world. But when a S.H.I.E.L.D. colleague comes under attack, Steve becomes embroiled in a web of intrigue that threatens to put the world at risk. Joining forces with the Black Widow, Captain America struggles to expose the ever-widening conspiracy while fighting off professional assassins sent to silence him at every turn. When the full scope of the villainous plot is revealed, Captain America and the Black Widow enlist the help of a new ally, the Falcon. However, they soon find themselves up against an unexpected and formidable enemy — the Winter Soldier. Starring Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson, Sebastian Stan, Anthony Mackie, Cobie Smulders, Frank Grillo, Georges St-Pierre, Hayley Atwell, Toby Jones, Emily VanCamp and Maximiliano Hernández with Samuel L. Jackson and Robert Redford, “Captain America: The Winter Soldier” is directed by the team of Anthony & Joe Russo from a screenplay written by Christopher Markus & Stephen McFeely and is based on the ever-popular Marvel comic book series, first published in 1941. Marvel Studios’ President Kevin Feige is producing the film. Executive producers on the project include Alan Fine, Louis D’Esposito, Victoria Alonso, Michael Grillo and Stan Lee. The creative production team on the film includes director of photography Trent Opaloch, production designer Peter Wenham, editors Jeffrey Ford, A.C.E. and Mary Jo Markey, A.C.E. and three time Oscar®-nominated costume designer Judianna Makovsky. “Captain America: The Winter Soldier” is set for release on April 4, 2014.

We open in a S.H.I.E.L.D dinning hall. Cap proceeds to make a sandwich. He rustles through the fridge looking for something. Widow enters.

BW: What are you looking for Steve?

SR: Oh, just my hellmens mayonnaise.

BW: Hellmans?

SR: Yeah

Black Widow pushes him out of the fridge opening. She abruptly pulls out a jar of miracle whip.

BW: Here.

SR: Whats this?

BW: Try it.

Steve Rogers begins putting the condiment on his sandwich in a commercialized manner (Swiveling the knife). He bites into the sandwich. An enormous smile forms on his face.

SR: Miracle Whip, the best stuff since sliced bread!

Steve and Black Widow give a thumbs up to the camera.

Ha. I didn't even notice that "I'm Not Lawrence Fishburne" T-Shirt. That's awesome. One of the best uncomfortable moments in TV history. It's like 10 minutes later and he was still going off about that (and rightfully so).
SuperCat - 3/21/2014, 5:23 PM

No not that shield, sky broadband shield. It helps defend your home against internet baddies and dodgy websites. So that when that big bad internet wolf comes bang bang banging on your door you can say "Oh no dog! You ain't getting in here 'cos we got sky broadband shield!"

Movie being released all over the world the next couple days. That means SPOILERS all over time for me to leave this website and not come back until I watch the movie!

Here in the USA we have to wait another 2 weeks! Not fair! The key word in "Captain America The Winter Soldier" is AMERICA

USA should be watching this movie first!

A lot of people have an issue with Sam Jackson being Nick Fury, but saying he's the worst character in the MCU because Hollywood chose a black guy is kinda shitty.

jp688 - 3/22/2014, 1:13 PM
Well, that was unfortunate, wasn't it?
pepe - 3/23/2014, 8:33 AM
Wait... He´s not L Fischbutn?
PapaSmurf1 - 3/23/2014, 12:23 PM
I'm glad Laurence Fishburne got his teeth fixed for this commercial.
