In our new feature we'll be asking you guys to let us know exactly what you'd like from some of the biggest upcoming comic book movies. First up, we wanted your ideas for Marvel's follow up to the excellent Captain America: The Winter Soldier. Click on to see what's most popular on the wishlist..

So we know Marvel's Captain America threequel has a May 6th, 2016 release date, we know directors Anthony and Joe Russo will be back at the helm, and we know Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely will once again be on writing duties. We've also been told that there's a good chance the movie will feature a much bigger role for Bucky/The Winter Soldier (Sebastian Stan) and will likely pick up the story right after the end of the last film, as Cap (Chris Evans) and Falcon (Anthony Mackie) try to pick up his trail. Now recently the Russo brothers have been teasing this movie quite a bit, but they haven't really let anything concrete slip yet, so we thought it'd be a good time to find out what else you CBMers want to see before anything official is announced.

Character wise, by far the biggest wish was for the return of the Red Skull. Obviously we've seen Johann Schmidt already in the first Captain America played by Hugo Weaving, but many of you felt he wasn't really done justice to and want to see him return to make Cap's life hell. Crossbones is also very popular, but it's probably a given that we'll see Frank Grillo return in that role anyway. Baron Zemo is another classic villain many of you wanted to see make his MCU debut, and actor Mads Mikklesen seems to be the most popular choice for the role. Other top villain picks were Madame Maque (Eva Green), Nuke, and The Serpent Society. As for which heroes you'd like to see join the fray, Black Panther is top of the list, but quite a few of you also liked the idea of US Agent showing up too.

From a story standpoint, one comic arc most of you were adamant that you DIDN'T want to see (at least, not yet) was the Death of Captain America. The feeing seems to be that it's a bit too early for that, although a lot of you didn't mind the Civil War storyline that eventually leads to Cap's demise being teased, or the foundations being set. Some of you felt that Marvel should take this opportunity to really shake things up and introduce some off-world elements to the story, to ease the transition later down the line. The Secret Wars arc seems very ambitious, but after hearing what the Russos had to say, a slightly toned down take on it might just be a possibility. Also, despite recent comic book development, you didn't seem to happy about the possibility of Falcon taking over as Captain America...again, not yet.

You also felt things should be shaken up costume wise. Since Marvel usually make a few alterations in the character's looks from movie to movie anyway, it's a safe bet we'll get that. Many votes for a slightly more comic-accurate Falcon (one or two of you even wanted him to have a little robotic bird!), and it seems the general consensus is that it's time for us to see Cap in that dragon-scale battle suit..with the wings!

That's about it. Is there anything else you'd like to see now that you've heard a bit more about the movie from the directors? Next up we'll be asking what you want to see from The Amazing Spider-Man 3, so get the thinking webs on as that's bound to be a fun thread!

Zola back with a robotic body
SuperCat - 8/30/2014, 6:40 AM
Nice article, ror! Bring back the Red Skull!
ArkhamCrusader - 8/30/2014, 6:40 AM
I think that Zemo is the best option.
Red Skull should have only a cameo in the movie, for a future Secret Wars adaptation.
dannramm113 - 8/30/2014, 6:41 AM
SuperCat - 8/30/2014, 6:41 AM
...also, want to see an upgrade to Falcon's costume.
MightyZeus - 8/30/2014, 6:42 AM
Awesome article, man.

I would love to see Red Skull return, Zola have a robotic body, A.I.M., Zemo, Black Panther and Hawkeye.
Denn1s - 8/30/2014, 6:44 AM
Zemo. Hands down. He is a fan-favorite. Either establish in a flashback that he was a general of the Skull, or make him a disguise for the Skull in the present. Like the Mandarin.
Doopie - 8/30/2014, 6:46 AM
Yeah Zemo as the main villain. Crossbones is surely coming back. A BP appearance would be cool too
kinghulk - 8/30/2014, 6:46 AM
zemo or if they do bring back red skull then have the skeleton crew. they would basically counter cap's team in every way.
Sulti1274 - 8/30/2014, 6:46 AM
Black Panther & Baron Zemo
19001560 - 8/30/2014, 6:50 AM
The Masters of Evil
19001560 - 8/30/2014, 6:51 AM

RorMachine - 8/30/2014, 6:54 AM
I want Cap-wolf myself.
Spideysense44 - 8/30/2014, 6:55 AM
Skeleton crew
Christuffer - 8/30/2014, 7:00 AM
I would like to see them actually follow through on the whole Crossbones thing. They really snuck that in there in Winter Soldier, I was honestly taken by surprise.
Minty - 8/30/2014, 7:00 AM
Zemo as main villain, Hawkeye in a big supporting role, Skull to be involved in some way
Scarilian - 8/30/2014, 7:02 AM
Main Villain; Baron Zemo
Side Villain; Baron Von Strucker with his metallic arm
Minor Villain; Winter Soldier + Crossbones
Cameo; Modok
Heroes; Captain America, Falcon, Hawkeye, Black Widow
BIGBMH - 8/30/2014, 7:03 AM
Return of the Red Skull could be pretty awesome. I think the Russos would depict him well in a modern context and hopefully give us a decent fight to make up for First Avenger's final fight.

I agree about not killing off Steve yet. He hasn't even begun his relationship with Sharon Carter yet. Finish out this trilogy in a good place and then maybe think about killing him later.
DrKinsolving - 8/30/2014, 7:12 AM
I just want another good movie, TWS was awesome. An updated version of the Red Skull in modern times could be really cool....

Good article, I'm also gonna say Taskmaster again because I thought it should have been included....

As long as it fits in the story, A fight between Taskmaster and Cap would be EPIC....

BatzFTWfan - 8/30/2014, 7:13 AM
Set up Kang as captain of the team aka Masters of Evil for Avengers 3 as his first appearance is in Guardians 2. makes sense more than having Thanos.

Masters of Evil : Kang - Enchantress - Excecution - Whirlwind - Baron Strucker - Crossbones - Abomination - Titanium Man/Ghost
DrunkenNukem - 8/30/2014, 7:13 AM
As long as they continue the tone from TWS, i will be pleased.

They can do whatever they want, these guys earned that right
ThatFiauxGuy - 8/30/2014, 7:17 AM
What if one of the reasons to Thomas Kretschmann' Von Strucker captured the Scarlet Witch in the TWS' post-credits scene was to bring back the Red Skull through magic? And what if, since she will join the Avengers in AoU, Strucker starts to assemble a team (featuring Zemo (And it would be great if he was played by Zach Quinto), Crossbones, Nuke (Josh Holloway) and other famous Captain's villains). Then they accomplish the resurrection of Red Skull, kill Captain at the end of the movie and then Bucky starts being a new Captain America. But, feeling guilty by his past as Winter Soldier, he make some changes. And instead of being the Captain, he turns into a brand new character - The U.S. Agent.

ElvenKingSlayer - 8/30/2014, 7:20 AM
Baron Zemo
Madame Hydra
or some iteration of Masters of Evil

Villains turning good:
Winter Soldier

Black widow
Sharon Carter
DrDoom - 8/30/2014, 7:21 AM
Madame Hydra, Baron Zemo, and Robo Zola!
FerFogs - 8/30/2014, 7:21 AM
Red Skull appearing out of nowhere pretty much like Hydra in Cap2, destroying Cap's world by killing Falcon and/or Sharon.
DoubleD - 8/30/2014, 7:21 AM
Love the Red Skull but rather see someone new. Red Skull was done already and the audiences would know what to expect. IF he is in the 3rd movie be better be vicious and animal. Mister Hyde, MODOK, Taskmaster,
darklighter1 - 8/30/2014, 7:22 AM
No Black Panther, no Hawkeye. Zemo or Red Skull. And have and actor that plays either one of them aware they have to wear either mask the entire movie.
ManCalledSting - 8/30/2014, 7:22 AM
Isn't this an Editorial?
ManCalledSting - 8/30/2014, 7:23 AM
I'd love to see Skull back, at the end, to set up another movie. Zemo in a robot body(though some tard thinks that was MODOK in the computer screen), Crossbones is an easy one. Personally I want to see US Agent.
ManCalledSting - 8/30/2014, 7:26 AM
Actually, they should have Skull come back at the end of AoU, so he can [frick] with Steve in his 3rd movie. Maybe kill Steve off for a movie, and give me the awesome Bucky Cap suit.
ManCalledSting - 8/30/2014, 7:27 AM
SpecialKail: I sure did. My phone turned Zola into Zema, and not thinking I changed it to Zemo. Thanks!!
ManCalledSting - 8/30/2014, 7:28 AM
Btw Zema is nasty shit.
GrilledPopcorn - 8/30/2014, 7:32 AM
More of Emily VanCamp as Agent 13 please.
GreenLantern519 - 8/30/2014, 7:35 AM
Red Skull as the main villain, possibly?

MODOK could be fun too. I'd like their to be a mini strike team like in Cap 2.
Sephiroth - 8/30/2014, 7:40 AM
Bring back Red Skull, Black Panther needs his own movie. No need for a BP cameo he deserves better.
Inhuman - 8/30/2014, 7:42 AM
I want to see..

Baron Zemo
Viper aka Madame HYDRA
Black Widow
ManCalledSting - 8/30/2014, 7:44 AM
Sephiroth: They'll pry want a cameo to set him up.
spidey1994 - 8/30/2014, 7:45 AM
My wishlist:

Red Skull's return (Obviously!)
Zola's android body
Both Baron Zemo's (Mads Mikkelsen as Helmut and Christoph Waltz as Heinrich)
U.S. Agent (Played by Matt Damon)
Full on Crossbones! Costume and everything!
A reference to Isaiah Bradley would be cool
slyjason - 8/30/2014, 7:47 AM
A robotic Zola would be cool. Von Zemo too...cause I study historical rapier fencing so it would be cool to see...just at fan expo here in Toronto got my Stan Lee photo op...so check that off the list
ManCalledSting - 8/30/2014, 7:48 AM
I wish the Hydra thing had been done alittle better. Meaning have them make Cap the "bad guy" and strip him of his title, leading to his Captain suit. Then a redeeming story, where Skull is found to back, and in charge. John Walker would then lose the Captain America title, and become US Agent.
