New Trailers And Images From Guillermo Del Toro's THE STRAIN Surface

Creepiness awaits in three brief new teaser spots for Guillermo Del Toro's comic adaptation The Strain, as well as three new stills featuring Sean Astin, Corey Stoll, and Mia Meastro. Check it out...

The Strain is a high concept thriller from Academy Award® nominated Filmmaker Guillermo del Toro, author Chuck Hogan and writer/producer Carlton Cuse, which is based on the best-selling vampire novel trilogy of the same title written by del Toro and Hogan. It tells the story of “Dr. Ephraim Goodweather,” the head of the Center for Disease Control Canary Team in New York City. He and his team are called upon to investigate a mysterious viral outbreak with hallmarks of an ancient and evil strain of vampirism. As the strain spreads, Eph, his team and an assembly of everyday New Yorkers, wage war for the fate of humanity itself.
The Strain premieres July 13th, 2014 on FX.

SigmaCenturion - 5/22/2014, 10:28 PM
"Clips" not "Trailers" a trailer implies it is longer than a few seconds.
sKeemAn - 5/22/2014, 10:45 PM

Del Toro will have to work very hard to convince me he can direct a good movie after the dreadful Pacific Rim, one of the worse POS film I've ever seen.
loved Pan's Labyrinth but everything else he's done is overrated in my opinion.

SuperCat - 5/23/2014, 12:38 AM
Lol @ Dio

The movie sucked!
BlackFlash - 5/23/2014, 12:44 AM
^You think Pacific Rim was dreadful, I thought that film was really good I've actually watched it twice this week but still to each there own.
mgeoff88 - 5/23/2014, 12:51 AM
@batz LOL! WTF??? You know what that is... That's a woman's hair clip in his mouth...

That guy is a weirdo lol. I mean, I get he was trying to be like a Predator eating cereal to be funny, but there is ways to be funny without repelling girls.

@dio Ha ha, good one!

Hmmmmm........people dealing with "parasites" and "The Strain"? Sounds like a morning after a night full of booze and Taco Bell.
FearTheLiving - 5/23/2014, 2:15 AM
FX has been putting out some quality shows, so if it's on there I'm gonna give it a shot.
charlie2094 - 5/23/2014, 2:27 AM
The book was pretty good, definitely checking this out! Never got around to reading the third, the first two were good though...

Hope this is good! Love most of Del Toro's work - not including the imo awful Pacific Rim - so this should be good, especially being based on a book he himself wrote
grif - 5/23/2014, 3:17 AM

marvel72 - 5/23/2014, 5:03 AM

BubblesShedAndBreakfast - 5/23/2014, 9:27 AM
I loved FX till they moved Its Always Sunny and The League to FXX and cut their seasons down to 6 episodes. But I'll give this a shot.
Supafairy - 5/23/2014, 9:31 AM
Darn it! Been looking forward to seeing the trailers and I can't even view them in my country! Stupid-ass whoever is responsible for this! Anyone have links?
Supafairy - 5/23/2014, 9:32 AM
@jollem yeah same here. Just bring on Justice League Dark AND Hellboy 3!
Supafairy - 5/23/2014, 9:36 AM
@JohnnyCloud No way! Pacific Rim was awesome! How can you not like a movie about giant robots fighting giant monsters! IMO opinion Del Toro should direct anything to do with monsters. No one does monsters best!
Facade - 5/23/2014, 10:48 AM
Meh. Don't Be Afraid of the Dark was piss poor, so, we'll see
