COMICS: First Look At BATMAN's Batmobile

COMICS: First Look At BATMAN's Batmobile

Greg Capullo, the artist for Scott Snyder's Batman, has released a teaser picture of how the Batmobile will look. Hit the jump to check it out!

One of the best comics out right now is Scott Snyder's Batman. Something that has been missing is the Batmobile. Well in issue #9 finally Batman will be debuting the Batmobile for the first time.

For the past few weeks as Batman artist Greg Capullo finished up penciling issue #9, he began to mention the fact that he got to design a new Batmobile, debuting in the same issue. A few days ago he posted a teaser of what we'll be getting.

Not the best look at it but it does give us an idea of how it will look. Jet engine in the back? Fantastic. What do you guys think?

Looks like a more sportscast version of the tumbler

Looks awesome as awesome as the book has been and that's pretty awesome. ;) Hope the next film series they do the whole Court of Owls thing for the films.
Knightrider - 4/3/2012, 1:32 PM
Awesome, Batman and Snyder have to be the best writer and character combination at the moment.
Blackreverend - 4/3/2012, 1:44 PM
@Ha1frican - I know eh! I hope it is...

@superotherside - That's a great idea but we'd have to see how the storyarc ends first... I'm a couple issues behind but as far as I know Bats hasn't beat them yet!
Moakynubs - 4/3/2012, 2:07 PM
I kinda liked the one they had in the last B&R series (Dick/Damian, for those without long term memory), but I'm glad that it's something that will stay unique to that series.

It looks like The Tumbler
ironpool007 - 4/3/2012, 2:41 PM
Just do the Tumbler already. It makes way more sense than chasing criminals in a sportscar.
Minghagz - 4/3/2012, 2:47 PM
Awesome so far! Best series of the New 52 too!
SolidSnake007 - 4/3/2012, 3:00 PM
I hate that comics have been infected with the evils of marketing. Being a cocktease isn't cool to the fans. Either give us a good picture or nothing at all.
Optimus83 - 4/3/2012, 3:03 PM
the new Batmobile in Nolanverse ¡¡¡NOW!!!
shadearts - 4/3/2012, 3:14 PM
Really the tumbler makes more sense than a sports vehicle HOW? IT LOOKS LIKE A CLUSTER OF METAL AND TIRES how can something like that be the fastest vehicle on Gotham streets and catch criminals its not even aerodynamic its cant be lite and agile its not even call a batmobile its call a tumnber and its ugly i keep hopeing Nolan change the design but it never happens

I wonder if the sharp pointy things on the top serve a purpose or are only for decoration?
theomegasanction - 4/3/2012, 3:37 PM
what can be seen looks fine. if you do not like it don't worry because I'm sure it will change it again in a couple of issues
awesomem131 - 4/3/2012, 5:15 PM
I'll admit that damn suit grew on me.
mgeoff88 - 4/3/2012, 5:33 PM
That looks very cool. I think those things on the rear of the Batmobile are supposed to function in a similar way to car spoilers.
Wildaniel - 4/3/2012, 5:56 PM
Cant wait to get a better look at the Batmobile, but I like what I see.

The suit is AWESOME!!!

Should I start reading Detective Comics or Batman? Which is a better read???
Wildaniel - 4/3/2012, 7:09 PM
@ KilledHal9000

Both of them are really good, if you want to read about new characters called The Court Of Owls that are ripping Batman apart you should read Scott Snyder's Batman, lol.

Detective Comics has all the villains we know and love.

laughterman26 - 4/3/2012, 10:06 PM
looks pimp.

Detective comics is good but Batman is just phenomenal! I would definitely go with Batman as a first choice!

On another note, has anyone been reading Batman: The Dark Knight? I'm really skeptical about it...
Jayman109 - 4/4/2012, 1:16 AM
@ mingHagz

The dark knight is good but not great. It's fun to see batman need the help of the flash and superman but in the end, at least for the first arc, it comes off as a ploy to include as many villains and Heros as possible. I like it, but they need to improve the story quality for it to compete with detective and batman. I'll be excited to see where the night of the owls tie in takes it. One thing about the dark knight is the art is awesome. Really has some great drawings.

The Batman is the Best! Luv the Batmobile look 4ward to The Dark Knight Rises! Luv DC!
sevenyearslumber - 4/4/2012, 10:05 AM
@ Argo wow, that's so creative! psh i've seen that like a thousand times in the past years on this site. try something new or GTFO
Minghagz - 4/4/2012, 6:57 PM

Thanks for the insight! Maybe I'll pick up the first issue just to see how it is.
KilledHal9000 - 4/4/2012, 9:09 PM
Yeah, Ima start reading Batman. Animal Man, Action Comics, Frankenstein: Agent of S.H.A.D.E., and Justice League International are what I read and are all pretty decent. I'd say Animal Man is the best of the "New 52" I just want to start reading some Batman, I'm digging the art in Batman, the costume is cool, Batmobile too. Anyone read The Flash? It any good.
Minghagz - 4/4/2012, 10:06 PM
@KilledHal9000, I haven't read any Animal Man but I hear really good things about it. But it's funny that you mention Flash because that's my 2nd favorite from the New 52 (1st is obviously Batman). They're doing an awesome job with the exploration of Flash's powers. They're really doing some interesting things with the character IMO.
KilledHal9000 - 4/4/2012, 10:32 PM
Damn. Looks like I gotta add that to my pull list too. Batman and The Flash. Gotta get those. Might just wait til the TPB's. I will also probably drop Frankenstein after Lemire leaves as writer.
GLprime2814 - 4/5/2012, 11:21 PM
I'm really enjoying this series and it's nice to see capullos art in something other than spawn.

Comparing Burton's Batman to Snyder's/Capullo's Batman is just asinine, lmao!
