Jim Lee is one of my favorite artist, really loved what he did on X-Men back in the day.
DeadHubris - 8/29/2012, 3:18 PM
Happy Silver Anniversary.
toco89 - 8/29/2012, 3:21 PM
I love Gambit but I don't like how young and thin his Superman is. He looks like me when I was in HS.
PartyHard - 8/29/2012, 3:22 PM
I absolutely hate his art. His character designs for the new 52 are so damn bad.
UltimateSpiderman - 8/29/2012, 3:23 PM
A masterful artist.
AlThor - 8/29/2012, 3:44 PM
When I think of X-men, I think of Jim Lee. That's what they're supposed to look like!
Pooh - 8/29/2012, 3:47 PM
Jim Lee is great, but I wouldn't wait in line for five hours to get his autograph.
marvel72 - 8/29/2012, 4:00 PM
jim lee was good in 90s,i think some of his recent work isn't up to scratch.
TerminatorMode - 8/29/2012, 4:05 PM

One of my favorite artists, if not my FAVORITE.
Screwger - 8/29/2012, 4:10 PM

scrappybuttons - 8/29/2012, 4:12 PM
ANYONE who hates on Jim Lee is a f.ucking brain dead Asshole.
Tomontherun99 - 8/29/2012, 4:18 PM
He may not be too good at communicating facial expressions and emotions but DAMN he is one of the best action artists working today
GUNGRAVE1 - 8/29/2012, 4:27 PM
Jim lee is the best.
KingG - 8/29/2012, 4:32 PM
I heard of his work, he seems like a pretty good artist.
Giznad - 8/29/2012, 4:35 PM
I wish he would do an X-Men for old times sake. I always wondered what his Age of Apocalypse would look like. Ooh lawd.
AtomicChipmunk - 8/29/2012, 4:47 PM

Totally agree.

Just look at his variants for all the "Before Watchmen" #1 issues. They are awful.
Jollem - 8/29/2012, 4:54 PM
jim lee has kicked so much ass it's silly. not just his artwork, either
JohnnyKrypton - 8/29/2012, 5:03 PM
Ugh. One of the Unholy Trio. Malocchia! Get your failed imprint outta my universe!
nuclearpriest - 8/29/2012, 5:06 PM
His skills have deteriorated since going to DC. He was a god among men when he was at Marvel. Seems very nice though.
Jollem - 8/29/2012, 5:13 PM
despite if you're a d.c. or marvel warrior, jim lee has kicked ass back in the day and up 'till now
BubblesShedAndBreakfast - 8/29/2012, 5:23 PM
I still have my copy of the Stan Lee hosted Comic Book Greats video of Jim Lee! Loved his work then and still do!
SunSp0t - 8/29/2012, 6:33 PM
Amazing artist, I was lucky enough to get to meet him along with Mark Waid, Dan Didio, and Grant Morrison. Got some autographs from the guys as well. He is a really nice guy!
DarthTesla - 8/29/2012, 6:41 PM
Went to his panel @ WonderCon this year. Very cool. Love Jim.

Hope he and Snyder actually make that Superman series.
thatcoldblackcloud - 8/29/2012, 6:49 PM
Can anyone say RETIREMENT?
1RoninAmongBitches - 8/29/2012, 6:52 PM
If you hate his art then Why the [frick] would you click on this article or even comment. Just another shit faced turd bunch of fan boys. [frick]ing Jim lee was the [frick]ing standard in the 90's all of the biggest artist are really just imitations in one form or another of Jim Lee:

Charest Before he improved
Jae Lee
Andy Kubert
Leinel Francis Yu

None of these guys were on the scale they were until Lee came along
JULEZ13 - 8/29/2012, 6:56 PM
Jim Lee is a good artist. I can't say he's one of the greatest of all time...

I hate most of his redesigns though.

Lee Bermejo >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Jim Lee

Just my opinion. When I look for inspiration for my work I look at Bermejo, I never think of Lee for inspiration.
MetropolisMarvel - 8/29/2012, 6:57 PM
I can't believe Jim Lee has personally known Rob Liefeld for 25 years (or more) but has yet to stab him in the mouth with a sharpened pencil.

SCURVYDOG619 - 8/29/2012, 6:59 PM

Can I make a request?

Could you possibly draw a Batman/Wolverine one-shot?

Fanboys' minds would explode....

TheOneSuperMan - 8/29/2012, 7:20 PM
@Julez I would love to see some of your work
0bstreperous - 8/29/2012, 7:22 PM

nowtheresaBATman - 8/29/2012, 7:48 PM
Easily all time top 10.

His early 90's X-Men & Batman Hush being my favorite.

well said dude.
JULEZ13 - 8/29/2012, 7:56 PM
@ TheOneSuperMan: You could see my high school work on my facebook. I just decided to switch to digital painting a couple months ago so I'm still learning how to use that.

It might be private so you'll have to add me.
maxxgone - 8/29/2012, 8:08 PM
congrats jim. he is without question my favorite artist. we're lucky to have him still workin'.
Shadowelfz - 8/29/2012, 8:25 PM
Jim Lee's definately one of the best, if not the best. I love his work on Hush the most. The artist who did Superman Earth One and Ivan Reis are also favorites.

I also love the stylized style of Tim Sale.
Maia87 - 8/30/2012, 12:06 AM
Just shut the [frick] up and finish All Star Batman, Lee.
Jollem - 8/30/2012, 12:21 AM
