Is this a kid's book? Not used to DC artwork looking this childish. Not bad artwork, just I dunno, young looking.
Nomis - 3/17/2014, 7:01 AM
^ Yeah, that artwork is horrible!
MercwithMouth - 3/17/2014, 7:04 AM
I do like the Robot Chicken one though.
loki668 - 3/17/2014, 7:08 AM
The Robot Chicken one is hilarious!! Ra's may have been expecting Batman and may have even prepared for him but I don't think he's prepared for pissed off Aquaman. Seriously, Aquaman will kill someone if provoked. Dude's got issues.
Doopie - 3/17/2014, 7:10 AM
the art isn't totally horrible, i've seen a lot worse. this kinda looks fun tho, reminds me of the team-ups on Brave and the Bold between Bats and Aquaman

@Doopie
Every piece of art posted is considered horrible by CBM. I'm totally with you on this. Gleason is pretty awesome. His Death Of The Family tie-ins were probably the most disturbing of the whole arc.
ManCalledSting - 3/17/2014, 7:19 AM
I hope he brings them both back. I loved Damien, and thought his death was to early. I predicted Ra's would try and bring him back, but I was thinking it would be a bit longer.

yeah there is a lot of hate thrown around for artists on here. it's each to their own I guess.

Just found this by Mr Gleason...he is a pretty good penciller

i think sometimes people forget that having the right inker and colourist can make or break art
DTor91 - 3/17/2014, 7:33 AM
@Doopie

Exactly. And artists are humans too. It will never be perfect. Even the top names make mistakes. Not to mention that these guys are a huge reason why we're getting all of these movies now. They provided the visual first. That drawing is pretty damn cool!

@Doopie

I would live to see the Nina Turtles take on Batman!
Doopie - 3/17/2014, 7:42 AM
Merc

that would be a pretty cool fight. I think bats would take it tho unless the turtles pull out the 'shell-shock' move
Nomis - 3/17/2014, 7:47 AM
Art is subjective, but when you see art like this as acceptable it in comparison to the works of the top names of the past (And a few current artist) it's makes you wonder if the art director is off their rocker.
DTor91 - 3/17/2014, 7:50 AM
Art is subjective yes. But this is far from horrible, and is very acceptable. Want to see horrible art? Look at anything coming out from Bluewater. It's one thing to say you you don't like the work, it's something else entirely to call it horrible.
Doopie - 3/17/2014, 7:55 AM

I see what you're saying. Compared with a past-master this art might not seem that great, but those kind of artists just don't come along all that often sadly.
It'd be great if every artist was top-tier but of course no-one hits their peak on the first attempt. It can take time and an evolution of style to become great rather than just passable.
Nomis - 3/17/2014, 7:57 AM
Well I don't like it...because it's horrible!
MisterPL - 3/17/2014, 7:59 AM
Vaginal discharge.

So Ra's is taking Robin's corpse so he can toss it into the Lazarus Pit.

Next.

Nice noirish artwork. Really like the Robot Chicken cover.
ALmazing - 3/17/2014, 8:29 AM
They are bringing back Damian? No one saw that coming.

GliderMan - 3/17/2014, 10:16 AM
DO NOT BRING DAMIAN BACK!!! I CANNOT STAND THAT CHARACTER!!!!!

And plus, having people stay dead would be good for the comics.
staypuffed - 3/17/2014, 2:25 PM
God, DC has some terrible artists working on their books.
MrBitterman - 3/17/2014, 10:07 PM
They're not leaving someone dead? NO WAY! This is like that retarded Supernatural show my girlfriend always watches...
DTor91 - 3/18/2014, 10:14 PM
@staypuffed
This isn't one of them
