There will probably be a lot of complaining but I honestly think there is no need, this seems fine to me.

manofmidgard - 9/21/2012, 3:57 PM
red robin? they paying royalties to the restaurant chain? or vice versa?
lanternstorm - 9/21/2012, 4:22 PM
I like it, but yeah I agree Tim's parent's will more than likely die... one of the most iconic scenes in comics is where Tim discovers his dad dead and Batman's there kinda cradling him... I could see Joker being the one to kill them... It would almost be ironic... The first time Joker meets Tim as Robin he's almost scared and freaks out because he thought he was the ghost of the Robin he killed.
storyteller - 9/21/2012, 4:25 PM
If you become a Robin then either your life went to hell or is going to. Also finally? Tim's dad was alive until Identity crisis and he finally got to be a real robin. Damien is skating buy because his dads Batman and his mother is 99 bags of crazy.
SoulAllFlush - 9/21/2012, 4:26 PM
in 10 years time, what do you think people will still be reading, this new 52's retcon stories or A Lonely Place of Dying?
damntree - 9/21/2012, 4:35 PM
Probably the 2022 retcon stories.

Oh jeez. They completely ruined Drake and the Teen Titans. I don't freakin understand why they have to change EVERYTHING. Leave the good stuff as it is! Ooooh, he was never Robin, always Red Robin? Well, screw you DC, for screwing up the second best Robin.

I loved Tim Drake as Robin, and I love how he wanted to walk in Batman's footsteps, so when he became Red Robin he was a really good detective and even drew some inspiration from Batman for his costume. Now, he looks retarded. I can't even take Teen Titans seriously anymore. I used to love them, and now they're ruined. But I like to pretend the awful changes to Tim Drake and the Teen Titans never happened. Hopefully one day they will see how outraged actual fans of the REAL Titans are and change them back to their original awesomeness.
Wingding - 9/21/2012, 5:08 PM
And I forgot to mention what @indigobolt956 said. I totally agree. Why the frick are all the Robins the same now? Dangit DC. WHYYYYYY???!!!!
Gyasiman - 9/21/2012, 5:38 PM
One of the saddest things I've ever read was when I read that Tim was no longer ever a Robin. That blew my mind. Tim Drake is my favorite Robin, and I love reading stories about him. But now he wasnt even a Robin (Even thought it says so in Teen Titans #1 and Batman and Robin #10). Just sad news altogether

So far all the zeros I've read are real good, thinking of getting the ones I would probably pass on.
Minato - 9/21/2012, 9:05 PM
You noticed that too.
Bandido - 9/21/2012, 9:22 PM
Really hope they make a seperate Red Robin book cuz I don't think I'm picking this one up anytime soon
Vapes - 9/21/2012, 11:07 PM
Red Robin was why I started reading Teen Titans, but I've really lost interest in it. Weird, weird storylines.

Still, I'll prolly pick this one up.
comicb00kguy - 9/21/2012, 11:40 PM
All I have to say is F*ck you very much DC for ruining one of my favorite Batman stories, A Lonely Place of Dying. The original origin of Tim Drake was one of the most unique in all of comics. One smart and observant kid who figured out who Batman and Robin were under their masks. And all he wants to do with that information is to reunite Bruce and Dick. He's worried about Batman and wants to help. He's the kid who showed Batman why he needed another Robin. It was an inspiring and touching story. All the more reason it must be replaced with revisionist filth. Why not try writing some good new stories rather than derivative drivel that desecrates the memories of the greatness that DC once was?
CaptainAmerica1945 - 9/22/2012, 8:49 AM
The important thing is that it was change simply for the sake of change! In a few years DC can change it all back again just to piss off the people who like this new universe.
SoulxAvenger - 9/22/2012, 11:21 AM
How can people say Tim Drake is the best Robin? To me, Dick Grayson has the best story. Started as Robin then becomes Nightwing. It seems to me thats what they are going for here. Granted its more realistic as nobody can be Robin forever but to me Nightwing will forever be the best. I mean Grayson did become Batman for awhile so that right there should say he is the best.
Wingding - 9/22/2012, 11:35 AM
Um...ACTUALLY, Scott Lobdell himself said he was never Robin in the New 52. This is a direct quote from him: "Tim goes straight from being Tim Drake to being Red Robin in that there was no official period of time where he was Robin."

Which is frackin' gay.

Also, about the costume, I know that. That's Kingdom Come. I was saying that I like how he looked up to Batman, and that the suit looks similar to Batman's suit. With the cowl and cape. Whereas, Dick became Nightwing and his costume is very different because he wants to be his own man. When Jason becomes Red Hood, he looks totally different as well. But since Tim looked up to Batman more, and was the most like him in that he is really smart and a good detective, it is just cool to me that Red Robin's (REAL) costume looks the most similar to Batman's than the other Robin's when they became their own people.

And I agree Tim isn't the best Robin. Dick is the best hands down. I like him as Nightwing even better. Tim is definitely a close second for me in terms of Robins, though. Especially since Arkham City :)
druzod2501 - 9/22/2012, 3:03 PM
wasn't Tim's mother already dead when he first entered Batman's world?
SlurpeeGuy - 9/22/2012, 5:25 PM
Hasn't Batman only been active for something like 6 years in the new 52? That works out to a new Robin every year or two. That's some pretty fast training. And when did he get with Talia to conceive Damian?
ellispart3 - 9/22/2012, 6:40 PM
i guess im the only one who was a bit creeped out by this.
Ichaos - 9/22/2012, 7:08 PM
