Check out Simone Bianchi's interior art for Thanos Rising. Writer Jason Aaron says, "I don't want to do a book that has easy answers." This April we'll be seeing the origin of the Mad Titan Thanos and what comes after "Marvel NOW!"

• What comes after "Marvel NOW!"? Whatever it is, it starts HERE.
• The vile face left movie audiences in shock after last summer's Marvel Studios' "The Avengers" movie, but who is this eerily disturbing villain?
• Thanos rises as the unrivaled rogue of wretchedness in this gripping tale of tragedy, deceit and destiny. Where did this demi-god of death and destruction come from and...more importantly what does he want?
• The answers come from the incredible creative team of Jason Aaron (Wolverine, X-Men Origins) and Simone Bianchi (Wolverine, Astonishing X-Men) as they take you on journey that will not only change the course of one boy's life...
...but will soon change the very nature of the Marvel Universe.

"I don't want to do a book that has easy answers."

Sounds like Damon Lindelof.

@LEVITIKUZ Because this isn't an event. It's 5 issue mini series about the origin if thanos.

Spideyguy94 - 2/22/2013, 11:19 AM

Looks like ole Thanos could use a thigh master, gettin' a little thick around the midsection, ehh Thannie?

"The answers come from the incredible creative team of Jason Aaron and Simone Bianchi"

The answers came from Jim Starlin. In 1973.

Love Bianchi's art. haven't seen anything I DON't like yet. having him on something cosmic is just genius.
Bandido - 2/22/2013, 11:42 AM
Shit'm not "that" guy

Sweet indeed
FrankieDedo - 2/22/2013, 11:55 AM
Simone Bianchi, obviously ;)
Who else could draw an art like that? :)

Proud to be born and living in his city, national city of comics :D

thatiscrazy - 2/22/2013, 12:08 PM
I'm diggin the look, but the shoulder pads are kinda weak.
DanteSparda - 2/22/2013, 12:16 PM
His new look remind me a lot The Avengers concept art of Thanos:

I'm excited for this comic, I hope it have the philosophical dilemmas of other Thanos stories.
JoeMomma29 - 2/22/2013, 12:25 PM
Oh wait who is who, I forget? Marvel and DC are so similar on many of their main characters?

@Dgabbor2 Exactly thank you for backing up my point!
mctrinket - 2/22/2013, 4:45 PM
Darkseid rip-off is looking good.
BaneFTW - 2/22/2013, 5:14 PM
Ron Lim's Thanos from the Infinity Gauntlet is always what I think of when I think Thanos. And yes, Thanos basically is a complete rip-off of Darkseid but still damn cool.
Pheezmatic - 2/22/2013, 7:05 PM
You made it hotter line...i made it a hotter song.
Thanos> Darkseid
ThePowerCosmic - 2/22/2013, 9:18 PM
Jack Kirby is my favorite, but Thanos turned out to be a much more interesting villain than Darkseid.
niknik - 2/24/2013, 7:23 AM
Not liking his new look at all. Overdone and convoluted. The classic look was far better. Someone at Marvel needs to give Jim Starlin a call and let him handle his creation as only he can.
