COMICS: First Look At Interior Art From UNCANNY X-FORCE #1

Check out some unlettered pencils from the first issue of the somewhat controversial Marvel NOW! title, as well as a variant cover for issue #2, and the very first look at the cover of issue #3. Has this predominately female team grown on you yet?..

Marvel’s latest “Next Big Thing” press conference will focus on the January-debuting new volume of Uncanny X-Force, from writer Sam Humphries and artist Ron Garney. Things haven't kicked off just yet, but below we have the first look at some interiors from issue #1, as well as some pretty awesome covers for the next couple of issues.

THE DARKEST CORNERS OF THE MUTANT UNIVERSE: EXPOSED! The X-Men: sworn to protect a world that fears and hates them. UNCANNY X-FORCE: charged to deal with situations the X-Men fear and hate! Psylocke and Storm lead a new team of outcasts and scoundrels, including fan-favorite Puck, the villainous Spiral, and the mysterious Cluster. The first adversary to strike out from the darkness? X-legend BISHOP!

I'm really liking that art a lot. And I dig Bishop's look with the huge dreads and huge burly beard. This team looks very interesting.
Asterisk - 12/4/2012, 12:41 PM
Actually looks very interesting.
GoILL - 12/4/2012, 12:42 PM
Goddamn that art is sweet.

Love it. Looks like another good showing from Marvel (stop getting me to buy your books). But Puck looks like a cross between a P.E. teacher and a retired village person. I'm just sayin'.
jimpinto24 - 12/4/2012, 12:59 PM
The art is nice!
Bandido - 12/4/2012, 1:06 PM
Ahhhh idk bout this one! I wanna try it but my bank account is crying!
ATrueHero1987 - 12/4/2012, 1:11 PM
I love the art but...idk. As for as X-Men titles, I'm fine with All New X-Men, Uncanny X-Men, and Uncanny Avengers(pseudo X-Men title).

Man I miss Bishop as a good guy. I remember when he first showed up. He was so in awe of the Xmen. he just wanted to be good enough.

I love the new costumes. It'll be hard to top Remender's X-Force run. Good luck Humphries.
Supernature - 12/4/2012, 1:32 PM
This looks great.
Dunejedi - 12/4/2012, 1:36 PM
I'm totally interested in this book just because Spiral is in it, but I'm getting sick of Psylocke in the way people are sick of Wolverine. And putting Puck in there just makes it look like they drew names out of a hat. Wtf?
marvel72 - 12/4/2012, 1:47 PM
nice artwork, probably won't be as good as remender's uncanny x-force but i'm still looking forward to it.
tomasocelot - 12/4/2012, 1:58 PM
puck will be the first one to do once the sales dip and they need to spark interest and sell some cross over event.
SCURVYDOG619 - 12/4/2012, 2:19 PM
Little off-putting to see the Canucklehead wearing a tie...
Shadowelfz - 12/4/2012, 2:27 PM
Not digging this series anymore.
ClarkFarley2012 - 12/4/2012, 2:50 PM
@ Mutant.. I miss that Bishop too. Loved when him and Gambit got into it in the comics.
jimoakley666 - 12/4/2012, 3:05 PM
That there is some sexy artwork. And I love seeing Wolverine in a tie. That's actually pretty [frick]ed up and [frick]ing cool.
BlueDemon - 12/4/2012, 3:08 PM
The X-Chicks? A chicktomex? Hopefully it's as good as Remender's run
Temple - 12/4/2012, 3:38 PM
Looks great, but I'm unsure about this title like the rest.
AlcoholicA - 12/4/2012, 4:06 PM
I would love to see Sprial going all close quarters with those swords. Teleporting all around slicing up about 20 dudes, can't wait.
Joe6Pack74 - 12/4/2012, 6:01 PM
So do they not color the artwork inside anymore? Is this because of the bad economy?
mgeoff88 - 12/4/2012, 8:35 PM
Marvel seems to be really be pushing the whole girl power thing lately, which is awesome!

I just wish this kick of theirs would translate into Marvel Studios doing a well done solo female superhero movie or something.

Could be cool. Like Puck's new look, and Storm sporting the Mohawk is always cool!!
