I feel like we've seen this 5000 times in print and on screen. We've seen Wolvie so many different ways over the years I'm excited to see how characters react to his death because that's about the only thing we haven't seen from the character.
Doopie - 5/5/2014, 6:32 AM
yeah, i think a lasting death is all there's really left to do with Wolvie. and I'm talking Uncle Ben lasting
KrazyForKomix - 5/5/2014, 6:57 AM
Do the claw/blades always come from between the knuckles now? Are we giving THIS up to the "realistic" movies, too?
And if any one says, "Where have you been? It's been like this for two years now! What kind of a fan are you?"
Those are valid questions FOR A DIFFERENT ARGUMENT!
My question/complaint stands.
IronConstantine68 - 5/5/2014, 7:08 AM
Wait a minute, Wolverine is dying? WHAT! how have i not heard about this!
IronConstantine68 - 5/5/2014, 7:08 AM
Also, am i the only one not digging the modern costume? With the black X across the legs?
IronConstantine68 - 5/5/2014, 7:09 AM
Also, i never actually read these previews. FOr some reason, i feel that they'll ruin the actual comic.
MercwithMouth - 5/5/2014, 7:10 AM
I like the artwork.
DVonShakari - 5/5/2014, 7:32 AM
too bad he never went berserk or got savage in any movie
FastFlames - 5/5/2014, 7:35 AM
How long until he dies?
Battabing - 5/5/2014, 7:44 AM
Hmmmm, the 60's and an event in Dallas that changes the world.
I guess Wolverine couldn't save JFK, either.

He'll be back in a month like Johnny Storm.

I liked the Winter soldier as much as Ironman and even a little bit more than The Avengers. I think that the production, script, music, acting, CGI, everything is top notch quality.

But let us be honest and objective here, Marvel Studios Supremacists Fanboy are overreacting claiming "It will out gross Amazing Spiderman 2, it has out grossed Man of Steel, it has out grossed Thor 2, it will out gross X-men DOFP"

You may be right but you have to put things in perspective and be realist and objective:

¿What competition had The Winter soldier to face? ¿Tough? Let us see and compare:

Captain America the Winter Soldier: Apr 4
One week later April 11: Rio 2 (mediocre movie the fifth highest grossing movie of blue sky studios that has not even surpassed the first Rio)
Two weeks later April 18: Transcendence (first feature film for an unknown/untested director and a bomb office coming star Johnny Depp)
Three weeks later April 25: The Other Woman (a mediocre comedy that I am only mentioning because there is nothing else close)
Four weeks later May 2: The Amazing Spider-Man 2 (finally!)
-------------------------------------------------------------- VERSUS

The Amazing Spider-Man 2
One week later May 9: Legends of Oz: Dorothy's return (no competition here)
Two weeks later May 15: Godzilla (Oh boy this is REAL competition and this movie is going for the big bucks!)
Three weeks later May 23: X-Men: Days of Future Past (greatest budget FOX movie behind Avatar wow! even more tough competition for spidey!!!)
Four Weeks Later May 30: Maleficent (Disney’s Movie Princess wow good bye Spidey!)
-------------------------------------------------------------- VERSUS

Man of Steel: Jun 14
One week later Jun 21: World War Z and Monsters University (Need I say more? Those were two big blockbusters!!! And just one week later!!!!)
-------------------------------------------------------------- VERSUS

Thor: The Dark World: Nov 8
2 weeks later Nov 22: The Hunger Games: Catching Fire (wow one of the biggest blockbusters of 2013, Thor had not much chance!)

-Thor 2 had 2 weeks to breathe before tough competition, well deserved box office
-The Amazing Spider-Man 2 weeks to make some cash before it gets toughest competition ever with 3 big box office stealers
-X-Men DOFP has immediate competition the next week with Maleficent and then around the corner comes Edge of tomorrow and How to train your dragon 2 and transformers 4. X-Men has not chance at all in that spot, has a lot of competition
-Man of Steel had immediate competition with World War Z (we know how it turned out; the highest grossing Zombie film ever!!! + Power star Brad Pitt) and Monsters University (let’s face it Pixar is the King of animated movies and this was another real MONSTER at the box office) so MOS did very well, the return of the King baby!
-Captain America The Winter Soldier: the greatest comic book movie of the year so far here to me but let us be honest; CATWS had no REAL competition for over 4 weeks!!!!

It would have been a shame if it did not surpass both Thor 2 and MOS which had real competition ahead and just a week to breath before other Monsters came claiming more box office.
I am not taking away the greatness of CATWS but let us not pretend like it did not have the best release spot of the year (NO COMPETITION AT ALL).
And if you want to diminish MOS compare it against the first movie of each super hero:

MOS vs. Ironman
MOS vs. Thor
MOS vs. The incredible Hulk
MOS vs. Captain America the First Avenger
MOS vs. Avengers does not count (as this is a team against just one super hero, once JLA comes out that would be compared vs. Avengers)

That is a fair competition as we are talking “First Phase Movies” remember people compare Apples vs. Apples and Oranges vs. Oranges, not Apples vs. Oranges!!!
But of course you won’t compare them as MOS destroyed first phase films and we do not like fair comparisons do we?

My two cents ; )
Snotzo - 5/5/2014, 8:51 AM
@Karmatron you are only looking at box office figures. MOS sucked critically. Give me a good movie that does well, over a Xmen 3 or Spider-man 3 which were the worst but did the best respectively for their series.
Bl00dwerK - 5/5/2014, 9:38 AM
"Do the claw/blades always come from between the knuckles now?"

Might as well, the bone claw bullshit stayed. And before anyone tries to agure the bone claws ARE bullshit. X-rays in several X-Men issues clearly show the "bionic housings" that were man-made, like his claws. Bone claws = bullshit...
BlindJustice - 5/5/2014, 11:25 AM
I do enjoy reading about Wolvie's back road stories. I actually like them and his exploits in Madripoor more than his most recent adventures with the X-Men and the Avengers. The artwork could use some fine-tuning though.

How did an article about a Wolverine comic book turn into a flame war about box office figures?

LEOSTRATOR - 5/5/2014, 11:33 AM
What's up with all the Wolverine haters. It's not like he's this boring alien dude that works for a news paper and wears red panties, still puts moose in his hair, wears gogo boots and live in a damn ice cave.
SugarYumYum - 5/5/2014, 11:42 AM
LOL @ pepe and loki.

WTF @ Kamatron, dude I believe you're looking for the TASM2 box office article.

HDU @ Gurilla
BlindJustice - 5/5/2014, 11:43 AM
@Bl00dwerk - I still love the time when Banshee, upon seeing Wolverine use his claws, exclaimed... "Your claws... They are a part of you, lad?"

I know that isn't evidence of bone claws or whatever, but the idea of the bone claws was that they have ALWAYS been a part of him since he hit "mutanthood". When I was a kid, I actually first thought the same as Banshee did. I thought the claws were just part of the costume. Also to think that they are not just metal claws installed by a scientist is a pretty cool thing in my opinion.

The bionic housings were man-made, but only because the adamantium would've continually cut up his flesh on the inside. Hell, perhaps his body grew the claws after his adamantium was ripped out as some sort of compensation or defense mechanism. I never liked the idea that his claws could just be ripped out and then gone forever anyway. Just one Wolverine fan's opinion.

@krazyforcomix yes they come out beteewn the nukles some times not it depends how hes drawn.

Ha. The doofuses who think Wolverine will and should stay dead for a while. Marvel comics need their cash cows. Even if the editors are as thick as pig shit, this won't stick. Thank [frick]. Because it was a decision bordering on the retarded from the start.
