[frick] yeah. loved the first issue
charlie2094 - 3/29/2014, 1:27 PM
Definitely picking this up, the first issue was a pleasant surprise!

The art is brilliant! Don't get why some say Marvel's art is bad at the moment, got some fantastic stuff between this, Black Widow, Hawkeye, Daredevil, Silver Surfer (previously FF) etc

Didn't really plan on starting anymore titles, but might have to make an exception for this. Considering dropping Avengers/New Avengers to make room
nowtheresaBATman - 3/29/2014, 1:50 PM
Moon Knight movie w/ Tom Hardy NOW!
KeefNCookies - 3/29/2014, 1:59 PM
I've always been a fan of Moon Knight. Not my prefered art but works with the tone, interesting direction for the character.
figuresmaniac - 3/29/2014, 2:00 PM
Saw The Raid 2.
Gareth Evans for the director of Moon Night or daredevil or iron fist.
Make it happen Marvel.

KINGPEN266 - 3/29/2014, 2:08 PM
DAMN its that good? i may have to buy this one
Ramiel - 3/29/2014, 2:18 PM
The art is simple, yet very effective for this title.

Indeed! The Thor art is fantastic.
Havensent - 3/29/2014, 3:00 PM
The art is too [frick]ing gorgeous. I loved the first issue completely. Can't wait to read more. Just a smart move by Marvel to tap, Ellis for this book.
m0th3r - 3/29/2014, 3:08 PM
I really hope Moon Knight appears in the Netflix series...
marvel72 - 3/29/2014, 4:14 PM
the first issue was great, marvel knows how to write solo hero books.

moon knight should show up in the netflix shows.
pointman - 3/29/2014, 4:43 PM
I had the first issues from way on back and several of the reboots as well. He could never hold a book for long. I hope this is good. Warren's dialog can get hokey sometimes.
ThePowerCosmic - 3/29/2014, 4:57 PM
The Variant of the first issue by Adi Granov is going for $50-80 on eBay! I want it so bad but crap that's a bit much!

Loved the first issue def picking up issue 2.
freebirdink843 - 3/29/2014, 5:48 PM
I been a mooney fan for a long time, so happy everyone else jumped on this wagon. Great art. Loved when bill was on it back in the day n loooooved the re boot with david finch. I always seen brad pitt playing him but that time has pasted(that is how long i have wanted a movie). I can def see tom hardy, n i wanted Quentin taratino to film it(that wont happeneither). U gotta have him on the streets jacking ppl up. He would break bones, smash faces with knuckles, carve moons on foreheads. Takes a special person to play him and a special person to direct.

@KINGPEN266 - it's not really that it was so knock you in your teeth amazing, but i think it was more that it was refreshing and tight and it did the right things for a relaunch of this character's in a title.

it didn't jump straight into a bunch of Khonshu bullshit or have Spector acting all crazy and decrepit. it just went to basics and did a cool single issue Moon Knight story. and it was really refreshing becuz of that. not all dense and cerebral, but it hit a good tone that could work for things right now.

definitely a great first issue, and i'm hoping they give this time to breathe, and introduce the crazy stuff a little more slowly and not so over the top as before. cuz that's always been Moon Knight's big deal, and it's turned into kind of a joke in the past. i think. and it's limited him. and i'm hoping this run is more of a take on him, where he's been around long enough to actually treat seriously as a character... meaning not so much of the over the top psychopath villain cutting hands off to look like clocks type of thing. i mean they'll have that, of course, but it won't be so silly, like a lot of books that are aimed at the debbie darko crowd are these was a breath of fresh air, and great art and all the writing was to the point. it was right on. and not even trying to be some kind of knock out punch. great first issue.
ThePowerCosmic - 3/29/2014, 6:12 PM
This guy needs a film. I think he could be the next big Marvel franchise. He'd be good Batman competition too.
ThePowerCosmic - 3/29/2014, 6:25 PM
Moon Knight, Waid/Samnee's Daredevil and the new Silver Surfer have all been great so far and look like titles I will be sticking with.

Avengers A.I. & Hawkeye are also great and I can't wait for Original Sin. I think Marvel has been putting out some of the most original stuff in years!
dcnoob122 - 3/29/2014, 6:32 PM
This series is amazing! and for the people thinking that this title is going to get cancelled, issue one was sold out and was critically aclaimed. People are going to be back for issue 2 and beyond.
dcnoob122 - 3/29/2014, 6:33 PM
And besides, warren ellis has never had a canceled title before. His series's always ends when he wants to finish it.
EnSabahNurD - 3/29/2014, 7:34 PM
I haven't been a big fan of the direction Marvel's been taking with their artwork recently but this actually looks pretty awesome and I'm loving the new costume design. The art style works well for this character. If the Netflix series are good, I'm hoping Marvel will continue to produce more series and pickup Moon Knight for a season. My top picks for Netflix after the Defenders releases:
1. Moon Knight
2. Daredevil (season 2)
3. Punisher
4. Cloak & Dagger (if Marvel owns/shares distribution rights. Does anyone know?)
5. Blade

Maybe culminate to a street-level supernatural crossover event.
bababoozer - 3/29/2014, 10:22 PM
Geez, shit art. You kids have no taste.
figuresmaniac - 3/29/2014, 11:02 PM
but.... but.... but....
loki668 - 3/29/2014, 11:24 PM
I have ALWAYS been a fan of Moon Knight. In fact, I may still have the oversized issue where he first took on his serial-killer brother (when his brother was wearing a clown mask and killing nurses with his hatchet). THAT was a badass title and I enjoyed the hell out of it. Hopefully, they'll keep the series THIS good and enjoy a long, long run.
jimoakley666 - 3/30/2014, 12:39 AM
This looks great. New direction, new (better) costume and lovely artwork making full use of the white of the page. A must buy, I think.

And @baba above seemingly wouldn't know his arse from his elbow. Lots of skill shown in these pages. That splash page of his cape opening is superb.
loki668 - 3/30/2014, 12:40 AM
bababoozer is just trolling to while away the time until he can listen to another Howard Stern show.
SCURVYDOG619 - 3/30/2014, 2:06 AM
Comics-related, but a little off topic: Bendis just announced a storyline called "The Last Will and Testament Of Charles Xavier" for his X-Men titles.

Think it MAY upset some people...
InfiniteMonkey - 3/30/2014, 6:06 AM
Warren Ellis and company are delivering.
Love the first issue.
They are going to explore loads of things about Spectre and I can't wait to have them tie it into the whole universe, when they do.
Bread - 3/30/2014, 11:59 AM
It would be cool if he shows up on one of the Netflix shows.
DurtyTalynt - 3/30/2014, 1:17 PM
I love moonKnight. I hope he gets live action soon. Gonna pick these issues up this week
