Nick Fury, Agent Coulson, Hawkeye and Spider-Woman look set to take on Cyclops' young team of mutant recruits in this first look at Brian Michael Bendis and Chris Bachalo's Uncanny X-Men #17. Are we about to have another Avengers Vs. X-Men?! Check it out!

It's training day for the students of the new Xavier School.Only, the training seems to be that the teachers just left them on mission to fend for themselves. Uh-oh.

Gross art
ForMeToPoopOn - 1/27/2014, 3:11 PM
Those guys standing behind the Avengers have an AIM vibe to them. Weird.
Space - 1/27/2014, 3:13 PM
What is going on!?!?!

Nice cover btw, I like the use of the name.
Wildaniel - 1/27/2014, 3:14 PM
In the middle of nowhere, lol, Cyclops is a great teacher. I dropped this book a few weeks ago (spend too much money on comics) but I need to get back into it!
HelaGood - 1/27/2014, 3:23 PM
LOVE Bachalo's art! Loving this series, too!
SuperiorMrGod - 1/27/2014, 3:28 PM
Lol, why is nick black in the mainstream universe.
xcan - 1/27/2014, 3:32 PM
The header states that Nick Fury is in this comic? Where? Fcck you Disney-Marvel. That is not Nick Fury. If you said this was an ultimate comic, I could dig, but it's clearly not.

What? You want it one more time? Sure! Fcck you Disney-Marvel. You're welcome.
xcan - 1/27/2014, 3:33 PM
BTW why is fake Fury wearing the new Cap outfit? Ahh forget it, fcckin Disney hacks.
OrionPax - 1/27/2014, 3:42 PM
Is the Ultimate Fury in 616 now???Why is he wearing Cap's uniform??Where the hell am I?What's going on??Head....hurts....confusion...overwhelming...
GliderMan - 1/27/2014, 3:49 PM
Reboot the comics. It's the best choice.
pesmerga44 - 1/27/2014, 3:50 PM

This is Nick Fury jr. Nick Fury's son and yes he has worn Captain America's head of SHIELD outfit for pretty much as long as he has been around and this isn't really Avengers versus X-men 2 since really Cyclops and his team are wanted fugitives from what I understand. So it makes sense SHIELD would be after them.
xcan - 1/27/2014, 3:50 PM
ON a serious note, the ONLY cool thing about SHIELD... well maybe Dum Dum gets cool cred as well, was Nick Fury (Male: 6'1, 215lbs, white, grey hair at side, smokes cigars like a mother fccker, bad disposition).

What happens when you play around with something successful and try and Disneyfy it? Agents of S.H.I.T. See it now on ABCCCCCCCC!!!

chewish - 1/27/2014, 3:51 PM
Yeah, I don't like Black Fury being in the 616, but this comic has been really good so far, so...GOLDBALLS!!!
xcan - 1/27/2014, 3:53 PM
Pes, I got the gist of that from before, but if they don't bring back the one true Nick... I will be a very disapointed Marvel guy.
TheBoss117 - 1/27/2014, 3:53 PM
Oh god no *facepalms*

I can't take anymore heroes vs heroes storylines
ComicBookGoth - 1/27/2014, 3:55 PM

Not this shit again. There are two thing X-Men and Avenger fans can agree on about the AvsX miniseries: 1) it was better off as a Capcom styled fighting game and 2) it was a long drawn out shitty story line that [frick]ed up the characters we all know and love and forced them to be act like someone else (except for Spider-Man, his scenes were the best).

Hopefully that won't happen, but then again I haven't read recent X-Men lately so I should check up on this story line to see that I am wrong.
jTiso - 1/27/2014, 4:48 PM
Why is every one shocked to see Nick Fury Jr.? He's been around in the 616 for awhile now, but he has really taken the main stage after the Avengers movie came out and with Marvel Now. I am not a huge fan of it either, but accept it or don't read Marvel comics.
TelaVizion - 1/27/2014, 6:15 PM
God I love his art style. Wish he could do all of Marvel's books
TelaVizion - 1/27/2014, 6:33 PM
I kinda wish Nick Jr. could be in the movies (they would give him more action scenes than what Sammy is getting now)
darklighter1 - 1/27/2014, 6:56 PM
Uggghhh this artist(?) is almost as bad as the guy drawing Superior Spidey. Where does Marvel find these hacks.
Bl00dwerK - 1/27/2014, 7:21 PM
Hope the Avengers get their asses kicked...
Makiveli21 - 1/27/2014, 9:02 PM
None of you know about Marcus (black fury)? Jesus people its a comicbook movie site. Go read some comics you fake ass fans. Furys black son has been around for a minute now....
blkchi - 1/27/2014, 9:18 PM
Illayana still hoffin it around reread new mutants, asgardian saga the one where she goes devil great read..
breakUbatman - 1/27/2014, 9:41 PM
Has any comic been improved by the inclusion of Agent Coulson?
jimoakley666 - 1/27/2014, 10:36 PM
Bachalo's artwork is beautiful. Although Coulson needs a little more forehead to really look like Coulson.
demon81761 - 1/27/2014, 10:47 PM
Nick fury Jr is a legend already and money wise a big earner on the back of the movies, and if New fans start reading comics because of the movies then happy days
rabid - 1/27/2014, 11:16 PM
Darklighter, calling Bachalo a hack artist?
You're mixed up. He's a long time fan favorite. Especially on the X-Men comics.
rabid - 1/27/2014, 11:24 PM
All this Avenger/Xmen teamup is a prelude to what was predicted by X-Sanction 2 years ago. In the future that Cable and Nick Fury's time traveler came from, the Avengers will go to war with the mutants, intern them all in camps, strip their powers, and somehow cause a great cataclysm. Possibly the event that ends the Heroic Age as seen in the histories of Deathlok, 2099, 1602, etc. Possibly the ultimatum/evolution war of the last surviving Evolutionary. There's a full on mutant/human war somewhere on the horizon.
Jefferys - 1/28/2014, 3:15 AM
What's with everyone saying that this a Hero vs. Hero situation? Did everyone forget that Cyclops is a bad guy with Magik and Frost?

Ha, ravid, I missed all of that in my daily reading. Do you think that Cyclops' turn to the dark side all responsible for all of that?
rabid - 1/28/2014, 7:07 AM
It's all connected. Cyclops doesn't exactly remember why he went all dark side on us (mindwipe), but the Evolutionary basically gave him an ultimatum that one of the two human races would have to die.
And in X-Sanction that's exactly what Cable was trying to stop. And in Marvel Now.1, it seems that this is part of what the time traveler was warning Fury.
captainmarvel99 - 1/28/2014, 8:35 AM
so whats nick jr story of gettin his eyes messed up. Just wondering but I had a idea if they put him in the movies that he would show up in the 616 since they didnt go with a ultimate storyline for the movie.
wcwpoet - 1/28/2014, 9:43 AM
Bad art, and could care less about what seems like been there done that.
comicstocode - 1/28/2014, 12:48 PM
Darkseid85 - 1/28/2014, 8:39 PM
Please God not again. That is the new Secret Avengers team and they are missing there most powerful member in the Hulk. Whatever, i am reading Uncanny Xmen and enjoy it most of the time, but God help us if we get another semi AvX again, they have already done a couple more times since AvX ended, horrible, they have screwed up the X universe so bad, All New Xmen is a really good book, but ever since Schism when all this crap reached an exploding point with Logan and Scott, X books as a whole have not been good like they use to be, Uncanny Xforce was a great series, but even the Cable and X force series going on right now is ok at best, how do you mess up a character as great as Cable? Miss the X golden years with Claremont and Morrison, both wrote great series, so did Hickamn, and done ranting now.
rabid - 1/29/2014, 12:53 AM
How did they mess up Cable? Everything in his book seems to be going pretty classic... except for that whole part where Stryfe was insisting that he was the original Nathan and Cable was the clone.
Cable's here to stop the mutant/human war from happening, so all the terrorism makes a lot of sense in that context.
