COMICS: Marvel Unveils Gabrielle Dell'Otto's Stunning Variant For UNCANNY X-MEN #1

As the launch of Brian Michael Bendis (Avengers) and Chris Bachalo's (Amazing Spider-Man) Uncanny X-Men draws near, Marvel has unveiled Gabrielle Dell'Otto's (Secret War stunning painted variant for February's first issue of the "Marvel NOW!" series.

Uncanny X-Men might just be one of the most anticipated titles to come out of "Marvel NOW!", especially with Cyclops' new role in the Marvel Universe as a mutant revolutionary leading a team of renegade X-Men. We've seen a couple of previews of the first couple of issues, but the Brian Michael Bendis penned series is still shrouded in a lot of secrecy, despite the Uncanny team's introduction in the pages of All-New X-Men. Anyway, below you can find Gabrielle Dell'Otto's fantastic variant cover for issue #1 courtesy of our friends over at Comic Book Resources.

The true flagship book of the X-Men returns. In the wake of the Phoenix, the world has changed and is torn on exactly what Cyclops and his team of X-Men are – visionary revolutionaries or dangerous terrorists? Whatever the truth, Cyclops, Emma Frost, Magneto, and Magik are out in the world gathering up new mutants and redefining the name UNCANNY X-MEN.

Space - 1/20/2013, 5:29 AM
I don't know what to say. I don't love it or hate it. I do like Magneto's helmet though.
superotherside - 1/20/2013, 5:39 AM
Ewww to the new character's costumes. It looks like all of them have armor on but yet whats the use of armor if you have openings everywhere. That's just disgusting. Why can't women have good costumes in comics?
FrankieDedo - 1/20/2013, 5:46 AM
Gabrielle???? a male name :)
Italia FTW!
Teo - 1/20/2013, 6:06 AM
Anyone bashing this cover is a truly ignorant.
Teo - 1/20/2013, 6:10 AM
And yeah,by the way the name's Gabriele.
@FrankieDedo è come dare perle ai porci con sti rincoglioniti inglesi/americani.
Hellsboy - 1/20/2013, 6:12 AM

FrankieDedo - 1/20/2013, 6:22 AM

Jollem - 1/20/2013, 6:37 AM

webslinger2099 - 1/20/2013, 6:50 AM
has star wars teamed up with x-men. Lol, joking.
ABTao - 1/20/2013, 6:55 AM
I like the resemblance between the new helmet of Magneto's and his Ultimate's version...far better! More sinister... As for the female costumes... It seems that comicbook artists love to push in a little 'erotica' for the 'boys'. Look at all the heat and dust over the change of costume for Wonderfully Woman. ?..
avengersleagueofjusticeforamerica - 1/20/2013, 7:03 AM
Ol' Magneto is shredded for a senior citizen.
avengersleagueofjusticeforamerica - 1/20/2013, 7:03 AM
Racer X costume is horrid
imnotwearinghockeypants - 1/20/2013, 7:07 AM
X-Men have become unrecognizable.
Jollem - 1/20/2013, 7:14 AM
yeah. more like...X-MINO!!! whooooooooooooooo!
Simonsonrules - 1/20/2013, 7:20 AM

I'm afraid I have to bash it. Really don't like what Marvel has done to the X-Men. When they launch the "Uncanny Thor" title I'll truly be out.
Simonsonrules - 1/20/2013, 7:22 AM
Oh yeah: What up Grif, if that IS really you and not another imposter or Grif-worshiper. Hope you're down time served you well. Stay angry.
jimoakley666 - 1/20/2013, 7:56 AM
Not really my cup of tea.
CrimsonReign - 1/20/2013, 7:57 AM
Looks like something in the style of Knights of the Old Republic and other Star Wars variants.
shamo - 1/20/2013, 8:07 AM

Shadow137 - 1/20/2013, 8:22 AM
It's a cylon!!!!
Shadow137 - 1/20/2013, 8:23 AM
Save for cyclops' outfit, I hate all of these new ones. I love every now and then when we get a fresh costume change, but these I just can't get behind.
RPD - 1/20/2013, 8:47 AM
Why so many comments about the 90's? Is that as far back as you people can remember?
Teo - 1/20/2013, 9:21 AM

The readership posting on this site are children of 90's most likely.
