Rhino4508 - 2/8/2013, 7:06 AM
It's Captain Fury!

Marvel needs to stop publishing seperate series and just publish four monthly magazines with 90 page stories and let the crossovers happen between them:

AgentDelta - 2/8/2013, 7:12 AM
- The Thing, Hulk,Cap and Cyclops get scarred/ mutilated.
- Dr. Strange and Wolverine are fine.
- Ms. (Captain) Marvel gets her hair dyed brown.
- Star Lord suffers a '90s looking costume? :P

@BatmansPsychoticObsession Sorry, are you actually defending the fact that a comic book company basically hit the reset button on their entire mythology?

I never was a huge DC fan, but any time I read one from the new52 i think.. wait, why do I even care what happens to these people? They may as well be completely new characters done from scratch.

Sure, Marvel isn't at the pinnacle of perfection when it comes to their comics, but at least they didn't find the need to basically throw 70+ years of material down the toilet in favour of appealing to new readers.
dellamorte1872 - 2/8/2013, 7:30 AM
@PANTHERX - thats the dumbest argument i have ever heard, look at SPIDEY mythology (OMD), xmen (deadly genesis) i could go on MARVEL is JUST as guilty
CavEl - 2/8/2013, 7:31 AM
@ PantherX - It was 25 years, not 70. DC rebooted its universe in 1986 and before that in 1956.

A reboot is DC's way of saying..."We give up, our universe has gotten away from us and nothing makes sense anymore."

And no, DC admitting its loss is better than Marvel continue more of the same.
SpideyQuad - 2/8/2013, 7:31 AM
Say what you like, but if it wasn't for Marvel DC would be nothing like it is now. It only took them 4 decades to get their ship right and they still can't get their movies straight
SpideyQuad - 2/8/2013, 7:33 AM
Agent Delta: that is Star Lords original costume in a lighter shade of blue.

CavEl - 2/8/2013, 7:34 AM
It's called different eras.

Golden age starts with Superman in 1938, Silver Age starts with Barry Allen in 1956 and the Bronze Age with the John Byrne Reboot of Superman in 1986. Followed by Flashpoint, which rebooted to the new 52.
dellamorte1872 - 2/8/2013, 7:34 AM
SABERTOOTH did it thats kinda inane to say when speaking of anything pertaining to this medium
enemyisyou - 2/8/2013, 7:35 AM
Is this essentially an Age of Apocalypse Redux? Or will they actually be making this part of the main Marvel canon?
CaptainObvious - 2/8/2013, 7:36 AM
@LEVITIKUZ- Exactly.
enemyisyou - 2/8/2013, 7:36 AM
And why does Cyclops keep losing an eye? It happened in AoA, now it's the same exact deal in AoU. He needs to take better care of those bad boys...
coolguy - 2/8/2013, 7:36 AM
I'm not talking about anyone in particular cause i do it too, bur why di we comic fans hate comics lol.
cmax - 2/8/2013, 7:38 AM
Marvel is guilty of it, but not on a UNIVERSAL scale. I don't know how DC fans can take all of the continuity reversal bullshit they've been subjected to over the years.

PantherX is exactly right in his argument.

Those Superman stories you read as a kid? Didn't happen. Those X-men stories you read as a kid, DID happen.

That's the difference.

I'm not much of a DC fan as far as comics go. I like the cartoons and stuff but not the comics. I think the reboot was stupid because they erased everything that has ever happened before.

DC has done that SEVERAL times in the past, first time was in '56, then again in the 80's. I don't like that, and as a reader I'd be pretty upset.

At least with marvel the same stories that happened 30 years ago still happened. in DC, that's not the case. I suppose the strategy is good on paper for bringing in new readers, but they havent really got a lot of new readers from it, and a lot of the long time fans get pretty frustrated.
ATrueHero1987 - 2/8/2013, 7:38 AM
I like Marvel and even I am getting tired of these events. I said after AOU I would just wait for the next event to be in TPB....but Hickman is writing the next one so...
CavEl - 2/8/2013, 7:38 AM
@ cmax -

Yeah...everything that happened in Marvel still happened....
XavierLehnsherr - 2/8/2013, 7:38 AM
I figure if I was Cyclops' enemy, I'd always go for the eyes.
dellamorte1872 - 2/8/2013, 7:41 AM
except when you talk about SPIDEY or shit like that? @cmax
thats a pretty bad argument
dellamorte1872 - 2/8/2013, 7:48 AM
obviously there are MARVEL loyalists here who wont admit MARVEL is just as bad at DC they just try to do it coyly which i honestly think is worse i feel like MARVEL insults it's reader's intelligence by taking these actions but not calling them that.
Bucht - 2/8/2013, 7:51 AM
I like both Marvel and DC.. yes I know, it's hard to comprehend.
KNIGHT3000 - 2/8/2013, 7:53 AM
MARVEL abuses eye patches too much... loses its effect after a while. Lets just hand out eyepatches at the door... Frank Castle, Nick Fury, Cyclops, Nick Fury, Cable, Steve Rogers, pretty sure Peter Parker lost an eye once... but then he regenerated it...
JohnnyWellens - 2/8/2013, 7:55 AM
Dudes I'm pretty sure that's Bucky (Winter Soldier) not Cyclops.
dellamorte1872 - 2/8/2013, 7:55 AM
WOLVERINE def did too
youknowmyname - 2/8/2013, 7:55 AM
I think it's more of an "Age of Apocalypse with Ultron", alternate universe kind of deal which is why they look different.
Jackraow21 - 2/8/2013, 7:59 AM
Classic Nick Fury and Cable!? Sweet! Count me in.

Oh, wait...nevermind. Weak, Marvel. Weak. Just use the real things instead of turning these played out characters into more hardcore versions of themselves.
AgentDelta - 2/8/2013, 8:01 AM

Kindly don't condescend. I just said it looked very 90s. It's definitely a step backwards from the one he has been rocking the past few years.
HavocPrime - 2/8/2013, 8:03 AM

Ouch give that guy some ointment for that burn you did lmao
CrashTest - 2/8/2013, 8:04 AM
man they all look like crap.
DanteSparda - 2/8/2013, 8:07 AM
I buy Cap's look, tought he looks like Nick Fury (the old Nick Fury).

But Cyclops loos very weird, and what happened to his arm? Now he looks a lot more like his son.
thebearjew - 2/8/2013, 8:08 AM
ya know guy honestly its just easier to let go, i could make myself miserable trying to make complete sense out of MARVEL AND! DC CONTINUITY but instead of giving myself a headache over this its just far more enjoyable and liberating to sit back and enjoy good story arcs
dellamorte1872 - 2/8/2013, 8:10 AM
@HAVOC if that was a burn i said the same thing above him but no pic lol i like how you selectively just look at comments with pictures lol
Rhino4508 - 2/8/2013, 8:11 AM

Technically, Batman and Superman never actually died.
TheArachnidAvenger - 2/8/2013, 8:12 AM
I'm confuse. Does age of ultron take place in the main marvel universe or in a alternate universe?
dellamorte1872 - 2/8/2013, 8:15 AM
hey fak read my comment SABERTOOTH coming back trumps all that b/c he WAS decapitated
Paragon79 - 2/8/2013, 8:16 AM
I'm going to assume that time travel happens to fix what Ultron has done. That said, I think it looks pretty damn cool. People need to relax, it's just a storyline, that deffinetly won't have these changes be permanent.
SuperSomething616 - 2/8/2013, 8:19 AM
So basically this means after the event; as Infinity has been announced, time will revert back and undo the whole Age of Ultron event...

Way to reveal your hand their Marvel....
thebearjew - 2/8/2013, 8:19 AM
cover art reminds me of the reboot tv show poor 3d computer animation
