how does the Hulk not win this fight every time? and I say that as an Iron Man fan...but anything with Mark Waid and Mark Bagley? i'll buy the trade!
Desrow - 6/22/2014, 10:53 AM
Hulk vs Iron Man?? 3 sec fight.
rabid - 6/22/2014, 11:02 AM
I really love the idea of this series, but so far none of the secrets revealed by the Watcher's eye have been particularly interesting. It could have been a good chance to do some shocking revalations.
DrDoom - 6/22/2014, 11:06 AM
That variant cover tho

Makiveli21 - 6/22/2014, 11:09 AM
You guys act like the concept of "hulkbuster" armor is meant for spiderman or wolverine. Tony has contingencies specifically for the hulk.
TheAbomination - 6/22/2014, 11:16 AM
Hulk would wipe the floor with Iron Man.
marvel72 - 6/22/2014, 11:20 AM
hulk kick his f*ckin ass.
GUNSMITH - 6/22/2014, 11:28 AM
Nivekian - 6/22/2014, 11:32 AM
I never got the "ooohh, he's wearing the Hulkbuster armor" deal either. Anyone else than the hulk, yeah it may be intimidating. But the Hulk? They slow him down for the first couple minute, then he just takes it out like any other Robot/ Exo-Armor. When someone knows how to write the Hulk, you understand why he's a major player. I'm not talking about Bruce Banner either, I'm talking about the Hulk himself. Not the "savage" Hulk or a "Banner controlled Hulk" either, I'm talking about the original "Gravage" persona. The one who joined the Avengers. As soon as that guy pops back up in the Hulk books, I'll start reading again.
Chekkarma - 6/22/2014, 11:40 AM
So ready for Avengers 2 to come out.

GenreFan - 6/22/2014, 11:45 AM
Hmm .. I wonder how many people would think that Batman would beat the Hulk. I'm not trolling. I am not one to do that but it's a sincere question. This coming from one of the rare individuals who is not a Batman fan. Some believe Batman has a plan for everyone. After all he (with help) defeated Superman in the Elseworlds story by Miller. But If Batman had a 'plan' for all members of the JSA and especially frustrating, Superman. Then couldn't Tony Stark as Iron Man, with resources, intelligence and technology at his disposal, have a 'plan' for the Hulk? In AvX he devised a weapon that broke the Phoenix Force into 5 components. Surely he could devise something that would be able to stop the Hulk. Again, since Batman defeated Superman in the Dark Knight story by Miller. Just some food for thought. Personally I believe Hulk should obliterate Iron Man in all instances and Superman should decimate Batman for the same reasons. But you know, all things considered...
Battabing - 6/22/2014, 11:54 AM
But Batman has beaten the Hulk.

TheGreenBastard - 6/22/2014, 11:55 AM
If Iron Man is giving him trouble, then Superman would destroy Hulk.
Meruem - 6/22/2014, 12:02 PM

ikr? I think Tony Stark is underestimated.Just remember who took down the hulk when he was at the height of his strengh in the last issue of WWH.Besides, with an unfinished hulkbuster armor, tony stark was totally kicking hulk´s ass before he gone full rampage on him...And I not even mantioned the supressor nanobots that tony stark created just to deal with hulk
Meruem - 6/22/2014, 12:10 PM
If batman can defeat superman,so i think Kal-El dont stand a chance againt hulk.
Meruem - 6/22/2014, 12:12 PM
ThePowerCosmic - 6/22/2014, 12:18 PM
You guys seem to be forgetting a simple basic truth of comic characters.

Strength is not everything! Intelligence often trumps raw strength.

Thanos was no where near as strong as the Elders if the Universe when he confronted them. He won by being smarter. Strength alone does not determine the outcome in comics.
TheGreenBastard - 6/22/2014, 12:19 PM
Batman also beat Hulk, so your point is moot.
kinghulk - 6/22/2014, 12:20 PM
just to let someone know roger wardell seems to think the winter soldier will be appearing in avengers ago of ultron, if he does i think it will be in the after credits scene.
ThePowerCosmic - 6/22/2014, 12:22 PM

That's just bad writing. That shot to the stomach wouldn't have made Hulk flinch.
ThePowerCosmic - 6/22/2014, 12:29 PM
Btw the Variant cover is far superior to the regular.

Why would they even consider the regular cover art.
AsgardianHobo - 6/22/2014, 12:34 PM
[frick]ing Bat fans, i swear

Meruem - 6/22/2014, 12:35 PM

What @powercosmic said
SpacePope - 6/22/2014, 1:11 PM
He should just wear his classic armor.

Batman Vs Hulk was for a Pizza Hut promotion or something if I remember correct, I don't feel like looking it up. But Batman could beat anyone, because he is Batman.
CavEl - 6/22/2014, 1:36 PM
Marvel fans flunking suck! They jeep buying these shifty ass Hero v. hero events and it sells well, so DC tries to make heroes v. heroes to compensate!

[frick], it's always the same with Marvel events.
kinghulk - 6/22/2014, 1:40 PM
cavel- take your complaining somewhere else if DC feels the need to copy marvel then that's their problem.
MarkV - 6/22/2014, 1:48 PM
Batman could beat Batman if he had prep time.

Batman could beat Batman with prep...with prep.
YOR - 6/22/2014, 2:17 PM
Please remember that these stories are not a contest of video game kill moves ,but, a poetic rendering of shades of light and darkness in eternal struggle personified through dynamic characterizations and spectacular conflicts. One of My favorite stories from childhood was the DC mini-series Legends which at the last panel showing The Justice League reformed quoted the Bible,Ephesians 6:12,which says "For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places",which for Me,explains why one character ultimately triumphs over another, morality and high ground ,not Gamma Rays,Adamantium or even Kryptonite.
ThePowerCosmic - 6/22/2014, 3:29 PM

Take your 'Marvel is evil' crusade elsewhere dummy.
ThePowerCosmic - 6/22/2014, 3:31 PM

Thank you for actually getting it.
sicknimon - 6/22/2014, 3:41 PM
Original Sin is totally picking up. Last issue was awesome.
staypuffed - 6/22/2014, 3:51 PM
Heck yeah.
manro - 6/22/2014, 5:36 PM
I love it when batman fans say "yeah Batman beat the Hulk" yet they forget to mention that there's a 2nd fight and Batman is RUNNING away for his life from Hulk like a bitch because the gas trick is not working the 2nd time, lol. Batman actually say "I can't out smart him so how am I going to defeat him"? Batman also says "it's hard enough just to stay alive! Hulk slaps him like a bitch then brings a whole building down around him ...all to funny.

All you Batman fans please READ carefully DC special #27 and stop pushing HYPE!
JohnTom88 - 6/22/2014, 6:15 PM
Iron Man actually gets prepped and builds something to go against super foes.

Batman still wears his the same kevlar pajamas and leans over PIS writing fighting super foes. That kick on the Hulk is like the kick of a baby on an MMA combatant. That's why Stark build a Hulkbuster or zap him with a large satellite borne laser to even the fight.
mctrinket - 6/22/2014, 7:30 PM
Why would anyone kill The Watcher? He just chilled out on the moon doing bong hits and...watching.

LittleDanglyThing - 6/22/2014, 7:32 PM
Enough to power a continent? Jeez Ironman is a beast nowadays. Hulk should win but in a very tough fight.
dethpillow - 6/22/2014, 8:23 PM
@SpacePope - nice, that's pretty cool stuff. i loved when Iron Man looked like that.

@powercosmic -
here's Thanos...

always his own worst enemy,

haha, poor Thanos, that was the one when he got hauled off by the cops at the end. so he serves as a good example of how sometimes these are obviously ridiculous, and the most ridiculous cases, it's just really bad writing.

like that Batman vs Hulk page up there. i mean look at Hulk's face in that. what a jerk whoever made that. that right there says so much about how little class DC has. they're so insecure, they're like 5 year old kids or something. people get so bent out of shape about Batman losing a fight. what does it mean to lose a fight? that's their mentality tho. Marvel's more like... ok, fine yeah, Batman kicks Hulk's ass, whatever... just go make your stupid little comic book about it DC, whatever makes ya happy, ok? just quit buggin us, we're actually here, making a Hulk comic. a real one and not that silly Batman stuff about how prepared he always is. Marvel heroes can lose. they are expected to lose sometimes, it helps show how they are. it makes u a stronger person to lose sometimes.

I feel sometimes like DC fans are almost like this primitive species of near human beast creatures. like so close that we could almost even mate with them and produce offspring. maybe in another 20,000 years, who knows?

but they were living on some island and a crate dropped full of DC comics and so of course, they just started worshipping them like a bunch of decrepit weirdo creatures running around naked worshipping god. And the comics that they found were actually really great, but they didn't seem to understand them.

it just came down to "Batman doesn't lose." and "Superman is a boyscout. He's too simple, not like Batman who doesn't lose. he's too complicated and deep to lose."

meanwhile, Superman is the one who actually exhibits real class about things.

could Superman kick Hulk's ass? yeah, for sure he could. if it came to it, sure. but it probably wouldn't cuz he's not a pissy little dickhead like Batman is and then also, he wouldn't be acting like he's hot shit for doing it either. he'd just do it, and no one would even know. maybe it would come up one day, and Superman would be like... yeah, i forgot about that, that's right, i did kick Hulk's ass. and then he'd laugh at himself for forgetting about it.

not like goddam Batman who if he ever somehow managed to even last 2 minutes against Hulk, he'd run home and build a statue about it in the Batcave with a piece of Hulk's hair he found later on the ground around that area. and the hair would be taped under a display case all scientifically cuz of course... Batman is such a great detective too, right? hahaha. lemme guess is Batman possibly really good at driving cars too? and I bet he's just good at everything right? now that u mention it. I bet he's a five star chef, knows 53 languages, has 6 dicks, 2 vaginas and totally will own your ass at Call of Duty:Black Ops.

that's what Batman is like. what a jerk.

@nivekian - totally, i'd love it if they brought back that kind of characterization to Hulk comics again. Hulk should be like that. and also not all overpowered like he is now.
dethpillow - 6/22/2014, 8:37 PM
doesn't Batman have a skeleton of a T Rex down there too?
who does that?

"yeah, that sweet pile of bones over there... bagged that sucker last summer...
yup...took a lot of planning, but i just planned it all out and whole thing went off without a hitch, didn't even have to put my cape on. just kicked back, drank something expensive and watched that whole plan unfold like clockwork all over that big lizard, yup... that's why they call me Batman. cuz i plan a lot. that's just what bats do..."
loki668 - 6/23/2014, 12:14 AM
I say that Iron Man needs to fight the Hulk in the one arena where he would have a complete advantage (especially experience): A drinking contest!

"Hulk *urp* SMASHED!"

*crashes to the floor*
