this book is SO much better when Ramos isn't on it...and the Goblin Wars arc has been pretty good.
TheClemster - 2/20/2014, 10:42 AM
Can't wait to buy the TPB
pesmerga44 - 2/20/2014, 10:43 AM
Is the number 23 thing a reference to Venture Bros. since the main two henchman were 21 and 24. Either way this seems like a pretty cool storyline and a good end to Otto as Peter Parker.
Indy - 2/20/2014, 10:51 AM
lets do this can't wait to read.
Lostcause - 2/20/2014, 10:52 AM
That's Normie Osborn under that Goblin mask.
RajunRemyLebeau - 2/20/2014, 11:00 AM
Camuncoli's artwork has really tightened up. I guess that's what we get when he isn't penciling three books a month.
cipher - 2/20/2014, 11:01 AM
Camuncoli's good. I've been a fan of his stuff since his work on Hellblazer.
iMVuze - 2/20/2014, 11:03 AM
Why couldn't the art be like this during the majority of the run?
TheClemster - 2/20/2014, 11:06 AM
Yeah Ramos out makes it so much better
TheClemster - 2/20/2014, 11:06 AM
@ Gus

are you doing like me and just buying the TPB ????
FantasticSpidey - 2/20/2014, 11:19 AM
Man... Ramos's Art is really missed here, but the fill-in is pretty good.
robometrallador - 2/20/2014, 11:31 AM
art in spiderman is always so motherfreaking awesome
TheClemster - 2/20/2014, 11:36 AM
Yup same here buddy
Ceejay - 2/20/2014, 12:12 PM
Nice art for the most part but why does Peter Parker loose his nose once he puts on the Spider-man mask?
rabid - 2/20/2014, 12:25 PM
I have a Spidey mask. It tends to flatten the nose when you put it on.
Superspecialawesomeguy - 2/20/2014, 12:49 PM
Did anyone else see the big bang theory cast or was it just me?
Havenless - 2/20/2014, 2:25 PM
For as much flak as this arc has gotten, Green Goblin was such a great choice to bring it burning to the ground.
Fastestmanalive - 2/20/2014, 2:30 PM
Love this series. But I'm confused though. When Peter comes back is ock still around or what?
Space - 2/20/2014, 3:09 PM
3 issues left....
AC1 - 2/20/2014, 3:54 PM
At least the artwork's good.
RolandD - 2/20/2014, 4:57 PM
Note to Sony. This is what the Green Goblin looks like. You have had three chances to get it right so far and failed each time. At least Spider-Man had the flavor of it with Norman's mask even though it had a fixed face. Dane DeHahn's (sp?) looks little different than Franco's look in Spider-Man 3 and that was not good. I could forgive if it is an excellent performance. I was disappointed with Heath Ledger's Joker look until I saw the movie. I (being a purist) still would have preferred a more comic book look for his Joker, but with his performance and the overall movie, I could deal.

I don't think the studio has confirmed that DeHaan will be be the Green Goblin, just that he's A goblin.
And I honestly much prefer the Ultimate version of Green Goblin where he mutates himself rather than puts on a silly Halloween costume. It just makes so much more sense in context of the story.
rabid - 2/20/2014, 5:26 PM
I still don't think that's Norman under the mask. I think it's Norman's son Gabriel, and the new Menace is his daughter Sarah.
dethpillow - 2/20/2014, 6:07 PM
@Millz333 - see i was about to say.... I LOVE CAMUNCOLI ISSUES OF SUPERIOR!!!!
i'm immediately just happy as a clam, like a clam floating in a swimming pool on a hot day on an inflatable raft and just soaking in the goodness of the universe.

i love Camuncoli issues. it's like fresh air for me. i don't hate Ramos either, i actually like him, but something about Camuncoli is like a breath of fresh air to me. i can't wait to read this one.

@rabid - yeah, i don't think it's Norman either. I like your idea of Gabriel, i'm not sure if you're the one that put that theory in my head, i think so tho, but i still like that best.

it can't be Norman cuz he said he's Norman. right? so it couldn't be cuz Dan Slott's always gotta be the maestro and the grand orchestrator... haha. i love Slott too, but Norman's not gonna be under there quite simply becuz of that at the very least i think. i like Gabriel. i don't think Menace is Sarah tho, i think it's just Lily.

cuz of how she's talked. i know they could say she was playing up to that, but it'd be a cheap reveal becuz of all that. and i think Slott would respect the things he's already dropped towards it.

but i really think you got it with Gabriel. it's gotta be, I think. that's the one who would be the most shocking and cool reveal.
dethpillow - 2/20/2014, 6:14 PM
@rabid - *********SPOILERS FROM LAST ISSUE********* cuz also remember in last issue when the Hobgoblin decoy is fighting the Goblin. and then he says something like, "oh yeah, you're an Osborn, but just that loser, Harry Osborn" and then the Goblin freaks out and stops for a second and i think that actually allows Hobgoblin to toss that bomb at him. but the way he freaked was a red herring too. and one that actually serves perfectly to point to Gabriel. cuz then he says."don't you dare say that about my--" and then BOOM. but total misdirection there and sets it off for the payoff of Gabriel. It's gotta be.

so right on, i think u called it.

@Irishyardball - Camulcoli's actually not technically a 'fill-in' tho. I think the book's rotated, not evenly, but it's always been Stegman, Ramos and Camuncoli. i think. but he's definitely not like a 'guest' artist, it's his book too.

i read an interview once where Slott was saying he actually has a preference for certain of them to handle certain stories, but i don't remember the breakdown he said, and i'd hate to misphrase that and give people more of a reason to blame that on his obesity as well.
dethpillow - 2/20/2014, 6:26 PM
@Fastestmanalive - ******SPOILERS TOO**********you know what? that's gonna be what people don't like about it. cuz the plot does thicken. i just got caught up recently with the last few issues and Peter's back running around and influencing Ock's behavior, but there was this time that Ock was poking around in his memories and most of them are erased now. there's like 17 things that Ock kept to be able to reference to solidify his "identity" as Spider-Man.

so it's like Peter is walking around in this abandoned landscape and there's only things like the time that Uncle Ben said he's getting so strong and then another time that like Gwen dies, like these major singular moments that are iconic to Spider-Man. and everything else sounds like it genuinely erased from his mind. so he's really a mess, but what happens is he has to hide inside of the memory of Doc Ock and him fighting the first time, which of course, Otto kept as a saver memory. but then he gets sucked in and like the same thing that happened to Ock sort of begins to happen to him. so just as how Ock was influenced by seeing things thru Peter's eyes to at least in some way, redefine his manic goals in the cast of heroship. Peter's gonna come out influenced by Otto's life.

and when he regains control of his body, it's gonna be a real mess of who's who. cuz you already see ock like saying weird things that he forgets kind of that he's not truly Peter. and Peter will have a different reaction to Ock's memories of course, but I think it's gonna be a pretty tangled web that Dan Slott is weaving over all this.

And, actually, if people have been mad about Superior and saying it "ruined" the character of Peter...I can't imagine how this is gonna go over once they realize it's more complicated than just, hey Peter's back but the Avengers and Aunt May think he's a sociopathic jerk. it's fundamentally erasing his access to memories and formative experiences. I think it's all written so well that I can't wait to see what happens next. by far, to me, Superior is the best title Marvel has right now. but i'm also a #1 Spider-Man fan for life.

but Peter wasn't even involved really in anything that happened in Superior and people were still saying that somehow he'd been ruined, it'll be interesting to see how they react if things go the way I think they seem to be.

it'll be funny if they don't get mad at all, hahahaha. i would actually feel worse about the human race if that happens. wow. it really could tho, i wanna see what happens.
lucio7lopez - 2/20/2014, 7:56 PM
Superior Spiderman arc is very good.
rabid - 2/20/2014, 10:45 PM
It might still turn out to be Norman, knowing how clumsy Slott writes. He still hasn't explained how Norman was moved from the Raft to the University Hospital. What woke the coma patients? Where is Otto's corpse?
loki668 - 2/20/2014, 11:33 PM
It's actually OZZY Osborn under that mask. He's going to kick off the new story-arc: The Delirious and Drug-Addled Spider-Man.
jimoakley666 - 2/21/2014, 1:28 AM
Love that top cover.
LordHuck - 2/21/2014, 4:52 AM
