COMICS: The Shocking Fallout From Last Issue's Cliffhanger Continues In ORIGINAL SIN #4

At the conclusion of the last issue of Jason Aaron (Thor: God of Thunder) and Mike Deodato's (Dark Avengers) Original Sin, one fan favourite character shot and beheaded another. In this first look at next week's instalment, the fallout from that shocking moment continues...

• One hero goes rogue. Another loses his head.
• Dr. Strange and the Punisher team up for a daring raid.
• And all trails now lead to one suspect.
• But he... how is that even possible?

The artwork looks awesome.
DarkRuler - 6/12/2014, 8:54 AM
Holy Sh*t...WOW. They decapitated FURY???
DarkRuler - 6/12/2014, 8:55 AM

Yes, does
EhMaybeSays - 6/12/2014, 8:55 AM
A good money grab.
Ginrocks - 6/12/2014, 8:56 AM
Hope this keeps getting better.
magneto10 - 6/12/2014, 8:57 AM
I like it a lot
MidNightWind - 6/12/2014, 9:02 AM
Frank shooting at Wolverine...priceless.
TheRealRemyLebeau - 6/12/2014, 9:02 AM
Good stuff right here.
TheRealRemyLebeau - 6/12/2014, 9:03 AM
And winter soldier has the watchers eyeball and nick fury's head? Wow.
TelaVizion - 6/12/2014, 9:10 AM
That damn Bucky.... went overkill last issue to kill Fury
XF14 - 6/12/2014, 9:14 AM
I had a feeling as soon as they brough in Fury Sr. that he'd be killed. It's not a bad series, but I'm having a hard time caring.
DanteSparda - 6/12/2014, 9:18 AM
This whole arc is getting more intese by the moment, can't wait to read this issue!!

Every good story is bound to get a lot of money, why do you think comic books were created for in the first place? ;)
TheGreenBastard - 6/12/2014, 9:21 AM
Damn! I was hoping he cut off Black Fury's head. Stoopid mcu crammed in 616.
lawndart - 6/12/2014, 9:28 AM
So, did they decapitate Nick Fury for the sake of telling a good story (which I find acceptable) or, was it in order to make the 616 a carbon copy of the MCU (which would be total bs)? Because they could have opened up a copy of Ultimates and saved the ass pain. This does make me want to pick it up though and I haven't bought a comic in a few years...
sicknimon - 6/12/2014, 9:33 AM
YERP/DERP there goes the original Fury. Spent so much time as a bad @$$ just to be taken out like a b*tch. I was really looking forward to this series and am a big marvel fan. It's been pretty subpar to behonest.
sicknimon - 6/12/2014, 9:36 AM
we're gonna start taking out cosmic all powerful super characters with giant irradiated bullets..... ugh...
TheGreenBastard - 6/12/2014, 9:41 AM
Sounds a lot like the gun that was used during Final Crisis(it's hurts me as much to type, and it does you to read) to kill the New Gods and Darkseid.
charlie2094 - 6/12/2014, 9:42 AM
Enjoying this event so far, didn't see them killing Fury so quickly, looking forward to seeing where it goes!
DarthDan - 6/12/2014, 9:43 AM
It's been a great arc thus far...
sicknimon - 6/12/2014, 9:50 AM
it's so weird being on this end of the opinion spectrum. I'm usually having to stick up for story arcs. lol
sicknimon - 6/12/2014, 9:51 AM
I will say the villians they are using are refreshing though. It's not Apocolyps/Red Skull/Onslaught/Galactus/Ultron kinda thing.
XF14 - 6/12/2014, 10:12 AM
"was it in order to make the 616 a carbon copy of the MCU (which would be total bs)"

I feel like its that exactly
StarkAnthony - 6/12/2014, 10:25 AM
There had better be a good reason why Bucky is bad now
BeeMo - 6/12/2014, 10:36 AM
I'm not crazy about this series, a bit confusing for me. However -- I don't think that's the real Fury that he killed. When the Eye exploded and everyone saw their "secret", Fury was the only one who didn't see anything. That seems a bit suspect to me. LMD, possibly?
Nigrutin - 6/12/2014, 10:43 AM
For one the art is awesome. BTW can someone tell me who the artists are? I remember this artist and the same art style was used in the first couple of comics in Secret Avengers..
Zarog - 6/12/2014, 10:46 AM
@Nigrutin Cover art is reminiscent of Esad Ribic (but I can't say for certain). The interior art is from Mike Deodato.
TruePunishment - 6/12/2014, 10:48 AM
Who knows if Fury is dead? But I must say, I was not expecting those last few pages of Original Sin #3.
akidnamedcesar - 6/12/2014, 10:53 AM
I was skeptical about picking it up at first but I've gotta admit, it's a pretty solid story.

InfiniteMonkey - 6/12/2014, 11:10 AM
This looks to be heating up.
The last issue was a scorcher.

All the tie-ins SUCK!
sicknimon - 6/12/2014, 11:17 AM
@infinitemonkey, maybe that's what I haven't liked thus far. The tie-ins haven't been the best. The team ups IMO have been a little odd in the main story too. I'll be patient with this one. Even though Age of Ultron the series wasn't that great, it was necessary for the direction the marvel universe took after..

@XF14 it's more than likely, but as a few others mentioned on this site it could be a decoy.
dethpillow - 6/12/2014, 11:21 AM
who this is keeping itself together, amazingly enough.
Aaron can sometimes not deliver, but hopefully he stays on God Butcher mode thru the rest of this. excited for this issue.

a lot of people have saying it's just an LMD, but I don't think they would pull that. you never know with them tho.

I don't think they are gonna kill Fury, as that would just be a huge waste,
Bucky's running around with his bloody head on the moon, and saying he's bringing a friend... so i think they're gonna do something with Fury's head.

i don't know... attach it to something or god only knows what...

maybe we'll have...

Fury the Floating Head: Agent of A.P.E.S.H.I.T.

haha, one can only dream, i guess. Brevoort and Aaron were in an interview saying that there's another big reveal page at the end of issue sounds like we won't have to wonder who's behind this for very much longer.

i like that premise too cuz it kinda explains the bizarre match-ups we're seeing on it. for some reason's it's this guy's plan.
dethpillow - 6/12/2014, 11:28 AM
@sicknimon - you what was nice tho? was getting Avengers 30 and finding it didn't seem to have a single damned to do with this event. maybe i missed something, but to me, that was refreshing. even if I did really miss something in that issue, it's nice that this would be possible with an event tie in.

i guess for people strictly buying the issue and with no interest in Avengers outside the event, well that would kinda suck. i just don't like when events get wedged into ongoing runs, usually really hamfistedly and with poorly written stories.

little 3 or 4 issue miniruns are a better way to expand on stuff, but i'm sure they find people just don't buy them then.
dethpillow - 6/12/2014, 11:30 AM
but i feel like they're the ones in the doghouse here.

they have to show that they deserve to be trusted. Infinity helped a lot towards that ends, with me, and hopefully they pull this one off to some degree.

right about issue 4 or 5 is always when these things are gonna reveal their true natures, i think.
dethpillow - 6/12/2014, 11:34 AM
@BeeMo - oh wow... that's actually a really good point. i hadn't put that together.
great point about that.
sicknimon - 6/12/2014, 11:38 AM
@dethpillow, one of the things I thought was funny is Age of Ultron was suppose to be the heroes wake up call not to mess with time travel (also with all new x-men kinda) and Avengers we have the team being hurdled through time after smashing the time gem. Also Deadpool going back in time too. You kind of hit the point. I agree that having tie ins and weding a story in an individual issue and having no bearing to the ongoing is annoying. In this case, I didn't see any tie in just as you said. Why even label it an Original Sin tie in. I'm going to be patient because I'm hoping this will turn out excellent. The god butchering is cool too... I guess I just think giant irradiated bullets to kill these all powerful creatures is kinda cheese.
BATMANx - 6/12/2014, 12:09 PM
Will they bring Black fury to the 616. Marvel needs a true 52 to fix this mess
sicknimon - 6/12/2014, 12:23 PM
@BATMANx 616 has the black Nick Fury. He's currently on the Secret Avengers roster. He recognizes that he's not the original Nick Fury and is actually constantly made fun of by people about him not being the original.
sicknimon - 6/12/2014, 12:23 PM
they take the "dread pirate rogers" approach to the name "Nick Fury" if you know what I mean.
jimoakley666 - 6/12/2014, 12:54 PM
All seems a bit contrived to me.
lawndart - 6/12/2014, 1:48 PM
I'm calling it now.
Either that or Bucky and Frank celebrate the world cup with a pick up game and Fury's the ball.
