FEATURE: 10 Of The Best Comic Book Covers From Marvel's June 2014 Solicitations

Marvel have today released their June 2014 solicitations, and just as we rounded up ten of the best looking DC covers, we've now done the same for their rivals. Included are the likes of Steve McNiven, Alex Ross, David Aja, Mike Del Mundo and many more. Hit the jump to check them out!

• The seductress of the sai makes the hunt look easy--but this might be one quest Elektra’s not prepared for.
• Further plunging into the deep crevices of the Marvel Universe, her quest for Cape Crow becomes murkier, as the hit is not what it seems.
• Will Elektra do what she’s never done before--and protect the mark?

• Thor’s war to save the earth comes to its epic conclusion. In the far future, King Thor makes a dark decision that may save the day, but at what cost?
• And in present-day Broxton, Oklahoma, Thor makes a final stand against the forces of ROXXON, but not even a god can save everyone.

• Deadpool has recruited some GROOVY help in fighting vampires!
• Meanwhile: the secrets of Wade’s past that Preston learned lead her to a surprise!

• Baron Zemo has made our young superhumans an offer they can’t refuse—or can they?
• Who agrees to join the Masters of Evil—and who goes rogue?

• David. Clint. Barney. The Building. The Tracksuit Draculas. The Clown.
• Ever seen “Rio Bravo?” Check it out, it’s pretty good.

• The war between the Uncanny X-Men and S.H.I.E.L.D. heats up!
• Can Cyclops and his team track down the source of this new brand of sentinels? And is S.H.I.E.L.D. really behind these attacks?

• The Owl is back! But he’s not working alone! Watch as the Daredevil team permanently redefines one of DD’s oldest enemies deadlier than ever! Plus--whatever happened to Foggy Nelson?

• Logan, Iron Fist, Shang Chi vs. an army of deadly ninja.
• Three Months to Die – The title says it all!

• In the wake of last issue’s explosion of secrets, the heroes of the Marvel U are reeling, leaving Nick Fury to stand alone.
• He Who Holds the Eye is still on the run, and now we meet his boss, the villainous mastermind behind the raid on the Watcher’s lair.
• And in deep space, the Winter Soldier leads a team that uncovers the most bizarre murder of all.

• J. Jonah’s Jameson’s crusade against Spider-Man kicks into overdrive! He warned us! He told us that kids might try to emulate Spider-Man! And he was RIGHT!
• Meet CLASH, New York’s newest menace. He may be Spidey’s biggest fan, but he’s about to become one of his worst enemies.
• Wanted by the cops, turned away by the Fantastic Four, his grades are slipping, and he still hasn’t figured out this whole crime-fighting-thing. Pete’s not a hero... not yet... but he’ll get there. Somehow.

@batmor: My wife ate beautiful as well. Now she is just fat. :(
MercwithMouth - 3/19/2014, 2:28 PM
Deadpool as Jimi Hendrix? Me likey.

Thor cover is beautiful. Love the Wolverine one, simplistic and awesome. And Alex Ross shows why he's the best.

But, but, but... Where's Granov? Why no Granov?
Rokyn - 3/19/2014, 2:34 PM
Dr Strange cover is really cool
THEDARKKNIGHT1939 - 3/19/2014, 2:44 PM
I don't know if I agree with the order of the list, but yes, those are all incredible
marvel72 - 3/19/2014, 2:45 PM
my personal favorites in no particular order

-uncanny x-men
-the amazing spider-man
-original sin

favorite daredevil
marvel72 - 3/19/2014, 2:53 PM
also i don't think that wolverine cover should be number 3,as i believe we've seen that sort of cover image hundreds of times.

i would probably place wolverine cover in tenth place.
UltimateHunt - 3/19/2014, 2:56 PM
Hawkeye is one of the best Marvel Now, looking forward to that.
Avengers and Thor are two I wont missed neither.
They all looked grade thats for sure, execpt wolverine, thats kind of old school now
mctrinket - 3/19/2014, 3:10 PM
Deadpool Hendrix FTW!
thor2273 - 3/19/2014, 3:13 PM
Deadpool as Hendrix is great
Magus - 3/19/2014, 3:34 PM

Alex Ross is overrated.
SugarYumYum - 3/19/2014, 4:13 PM
Yeah the Wolverine one is pretty mundane, it's been done so much have no idea why it even made the list.

Favorites from that list are Deadpool, Uncanny, Avengers Undercover, and the Spidey cover that definitely deserves the #1 spot. Deadpool Hendrix should have been higher.
BubblesShedAndBreakfast - 3/19/2014, 4:31 PM
Love Alex Ross's work. I just wish he was friendlier in person but all great artist are socially akward.
CrimsonFlash - 3/19/2014, 4:54 PM
Hawkeye and DD are two of the best books marvel has going right now
DoomBot666 - 3/19/2014, 5:14 PM
The costume Baron Zemo has in that cover would be perfect for Cap 3. ;)
osideous - 3/19/2014, 5:48 PM
sigh that explanation of Spiderman #1.2 just makes me want marvel to reboot this shit even more.
ThePowerCosmic - 3/19/2014, 5:48 PM
Elektra, Daredevil, Baron Zemo Avengers are my favorites.

Totally agree!
Shadowmaster35 - 3/19/2014, 6:19 PM
Alex Ross you always sit at the top for me man!
dethpillow - 3/19/2014, 10:15 PM
damn, look at Dazzler!!!

i love that they're bringing her back recently.

@CrimsonFlash - yeah, Hawkeye, amazingly enough has kept itself interesting, even with all the weird out of narrative issues recently and side trips with Kate Bishop and out of order issues. i love this book, every month, it never disappoints me. and even if it does, there's something cool about the way it does, and i can learn to like it for what it is. Hawkeye is really a great book.
it makes you regret we got him in the Avengers just schlumping around like a SHIELD agent. i like Fraction's take on the character a lot more, and i think Marvel would be smart to do a non-comic book movie out of what they got going on in Hawkeye.

like screw all the action monkey business and just make an actual movie. sure it'd have elements of action, but it wouldn't be, it'd be more like, hmmm, maybe something like those English guys used to make about drugs and stuff, those silly Layer Caked movies. but not about drugs, about Hawkeye.

Marvel should totally do this, it'd cost almost nothing compared to the blockbuster stuff like GOTG and Avengers and Cap.

but no Jeremy Renner, he would be a terrible choice for that Hawkeye.
dethpillow - 3/19/2014, 10:17 PM
Fraction's Hawkeye could work really well as an HBO/Netflix show, but i'd rather see it done tight as a movie.
dethpillow - 3/19/2014, 10:17 PM
expand the brand
Wiccan - 3/19/2014, 10:52 PM
We've seen the cover to Wolverine #8 before and the uncanny X-men one is pretty average, but that Daredevil one. Wow.
CarlXVIGarfield - 3/20/2014, 12:19 AM
Schwarzenegger as Galactus, nice!
dethpillow - 3/20/2014, 12:32 AM
that's how big Galactus should be too.

if Galactus is standing next to the Earth, the Earth should be like a 2 times sized basketball. maybe a watermelon compared to Galactus.

can u imagine how terrifying that would be, to wake up and look at the sky?
i can't even imagine how that would actually look.
case - 3/20/2014, 1:44 AM
These look sweet as. Way better than stupid robot chicken covers.
