This is companion piece to an article I wrote, "Relatively Spoiler Free Review Of The Dark Knight Returns Part 1 And Ten DC Graphic Novels They Can Adapt Next:" It has top 10 DC titles that should be adapted if you´d like to check it out.

Marvel has been way ahead in getting a Marvel movie universe together, now they are reaching phase 2 of their project, all focus seems to be on that. I have complained in former articles that sometimes I believe Marvel Executives are a bit too close to their movies, with the number one object of making them family friendly. Sometimes, I believe, at the expense of quality.

However, I think they should get their animated machine off to a running start in the new year by adapting some of their darker more adult graphic novels, and, also appealing to the teenage market, by adapting some of their tween X-men titles, that I found really fun when I was a teenager.
I think this could be a bold move to make to really promote phase 2.

Here are the top 10 titles I think they should look into.

10) World War Hulk

World War Hulk is as exciting and epic as a story can get, Sentry Vs the Hulk would look absolutely mind blowing in animation if directed right. I love this run, and I love The Hulk, they already did the first part of this story, I think it´s time for the epic conclusion.

9)Generation X: Phalanx Covernent And Generation X: Vol 1

Loved this title as a teen. It was really fun and had some characters with cool and even off the charts powers. I also think it´s time for the incredibly hot M to be introduced to the world of moving pictures. One other thing it was one of the most racially diverse casts of a comic relating to the X-men, so I think it will have broad appeal.

8)Civil War

Top 10 Best Modern Marvel Graphic Novels

Another epic Marvel mash up. Marvel have really wanted to get knowledge about more minor characters out, this could be a great 3 part story to achieve that.

7)Alias

This is a great story, which added a very original female character to the Marvel universe. Jennifer Jones, has a lot of demons in her past and things she must come to terms with, a former superhero turned private eye, her adventures through the world of Marvel, which, give us insights into the possible pasts of such characters as Captain America, Dare Devil and more.

A great series I story I recommend it. And it would be a bold move for Marvel to animate it.

6)Runaways

I haven´t read this one, but it comes highly recommended. It seems Like one to appeal to teens. It’s a bunch of kids on the run from their parents who are Super villains, on the way they discover their own powers as well.

5)Daredevil Man Without Fear

Its Frank Miller´s Dare Devil need I say more.

4)Astonishing X-Men Joss Whedon

Joss Whedon´s AXM was a really fun comic, with a great take on some classic X characters. Also had some of the wittiest, wild fire banter you will get in the X-Men.

3)Captain Britain: Crooked World

This was an Alan Moore comic, from the 80´s. It was a fun comic, again with all the Moore wit and insight you´d expect. Pure genius.

2)Ghost Rider Road To Damnation

This is another I haven´t read but that comes highlñy recommended. Always like Ghost Rider and god knows the world needs to shown he´s cool again after Mr. Cages treatment.

Ghost Rider Flame Metal

1) Gambit And Rogue As Companion Pieces:

I think these are two of the great X-men characters. Every bit as interesting if perhaps a bit less popular than Wolverine. However, studio execs believed they couldn´t have more than one bad ass we root for in a film, so they made Wolverine that guy, Rogue a wimp and Gambit, not even in the running. What a shame because the chemistry between these two has always been great, I hope in future they correct this in the movies, but until then how about an animated companion piece, charting both their journey´s to the X-men. Kind of a star crossed lover tale.

I´d love to see it myself.

Let me know what you think of my choices and if theirs any you´d like to see.

Runaways is just begging to be made into a one-off Marvel Studios movie. its relatively cheap, and can make a dump-truck worth of money.

Civil War was being built towards in the Avengers: EMH cartoon, which unfortunately didn't get to pay off. HOpefully Avengers Assemble picks up some of those plot threads.

World War Hulk would have been a nice sequel to Planet Hulk, but those direct-to-DVD movies made NOTHING for Marvel, maybe aim for a cartoon plot down the line?

I personally would like to see a cartoon series made from the Infinity Saga. Including Infinity War, Infinity Watch, & Infinity Crisis.
Hellsing - 9/13/2012, 12:43 PM
All of the suggestions would be good, but I would love to see live-action tv show or movie for the Runaways its ripe for an live action adaptation. Preferably TV show, I mean c'mon wheadon the Godfather of the MCU now, Runaway is right up his ally, plus he wrote a arc didn't he.
Bane2099 - 9/13/2012, 5:57 PM
my picks for animated features would have to be what i consider classics and would be interesting to see play out on film:

x-men days of future past
civil war
x-men fatal attractions
x-men age of apocalypse
x-men onslaught
old man logan

I,ll make sure I don't leave without a copy of Civil War but I'm more aof a Dc man myself.
Thanks.

What I miss on this list is

SENTRY

MasterAmino - 10/19/2012, 3:17 PM
I don't see how Civil War could be done ANY time soon. It's taken years to introduce the characters/heroes we already have...and the public already knows every SINGLE one of their identities. If Civil War to be done any time soon...it'd require a rush of character introduction...ala X-Men Last Stand. That would be TERRIBLE, folks.

Sorry for usage of caps...but I needed emphasis. :P

Where have you people been, under a rock? A Runaways movie has been in the works for some time now.

BorgX - 11/28/2012, 11:23 AM
I would have to say the one I would kill to see is the X-men graphics novel "God Loves Man Kills"
If you haven't read this one yet it is a must read classic.
BorgX - 11/28/2012, 11:28 AM
Sorry for double dipping but I would also love to see
Secret Wars I and II.
The Infinity Gauntlet series
and also The Magneto Protocol.
And for those of us who are also DC fans the crossover series between Marvel and DC would be cool.
To tell the truth what I really would love (and pay to see) is having Marvel start all the way back at the beginning and re-do the entire Marvel catalog as animated comics.
SirKryptoKnight - 1/8/2013, 7:12 PM
I like the suggestions that Bane2099, manymade1, and marvel72 all made they would be great stories but I really want to see the story that BorgX suggests with "God Loves, Man Kills" because it was an awesome X-men story and would be awesome animated.

some others that I would love to see from marvel are:
The Death of Captain America all three parts of the saga from the Death, the reaction to the death, and Bucky taking over as Captain America.
Captain America Reborn,
Who will where the shield?
seige.
Fear itself
Avengers Vs X-men. (Just to see the finale would be worth it)
A ghost rider movie with the Midnight Sons. (not just Johnny Blaze)
basedfromme - 3/15/2013, 3:46 PM
Yes, who could you credit for producing both the Runaways' and Gambit/Rogue duo films?? I frett whom could brilliantly cast them as much as direct them. Those two are more promising entertainment dosages above them all. Thanx for listing. Anything that tells informs rules the industry the audience is the reason for the screen.
bebbo13 - 3/27/2013, 5:12 AM
