Whoever they pick, a superhero movie featuring a black female actress as the main lead will be a breath of fresh air in Hollywood, which has come under fire for many years for a lack of diversity in lead roles, especially following the #OscarsSoWhite movement protesting the all-white acting nominations at this year's Oscars, the ratings of which went on to reach an 8-year low.
