New York's Midtown Comics Starring In Own Reality Series Called COMIC STORE HEROES

Remember AMC's Comic Book Men? Well now they won't be the only show to have a comic store to star in their own reality series. New York City's popular store Midtown Comics will star in their own series next month. Details after the jump.

Looks like Kevin Smith and his friends are going to have a little competition now. Airing on the National Geographic channel next month, Comic Store Heroes will revolve around the behind-the-scenes action of New York's famous store Midtown Comics. In the clip below, you can see Alex getting tasked with an insane challenge to find a super-rare comic book!

The show will air on July 13th at 8PM Eastern on the National Geographic Channel.

Here is an excerpt from the official press release:
[The show] will follow the lives of staffers Gerry, Thor, and Alex as they deal with all sorts of geek and enthusiast customers while simultaneously planning their booth at the New York Comic Con. Can these pop culture mavens answer the pointed and detailed questions of their comic-centric clientele and still manage to produce a major presence at their largest hometown comics-oriented event?

Will you be watching?

I don't know what makes them so special. For some reason,in all 3 of their stores in NY you have to climb a long narrow stairway up to the 2nd floor to enter. Haven't they ever thought of renting a ground floor store?
