(SPOILER FREE) Holy Hyboria!! Just got back from seeing Conan The Barbarian and let me tell you, if you had any doubts about the movie being good, PUT THEM TO REST!! I didn't see it in 3D so I cannot offer an opinion regarding that. As a reader of the Marvel Comics series Conan The Barbarian, I was really impressed when the first movie with Arnold came out back in the day. This new updated movie in my opinion leaves the original in the dust! Nothing against the first movie because it was great for its time.

Jason Momoa IS CONAN!!!!!!! Plain and simple! The way he brings the character to life is really uncanny. I'm still blown away by how much he really looks the part. The story was cool as were the other characters in the movie. The photography is amazing and the sets are breathtaking. It is all the blood & guts that a Conan movie should be by far! The fight scenes are everything that they should be and will not disappoint!

Another great fact is that the movie doesn't seem over in the blink of an eye! it keeps a good pace and never gets boring. I would love to see Red Sonja in the sequel! A real Red Sonja though and not a joke like the Bridgette Nielsen movie!

Glade you enjoyed the movie and I like that you reviewed it with such enthusiasm. However, I didn't care for the new Conan the Barbarian. Though Jason Momoa looked the part, I feel his portrayal of Conan lacked emotion and depth compared to the origial, and felt the screen writers turned Conan into an unbeatable superman instead of a flesh and blood character.

I liked the original for it's fatasy, action and adventure but I liked it mostly for it's compelling story and interesting character development. Something I think the new Conan soarly lacks. It maybe a good action movie but that's all it is to me. You mention how well it's paced, that's true as far as action, but it never slows down for a minute for interesting story or character development.

As a huge Conan fan, I really wanted to like this one but unfortunatly I was dissapointed. I can see how some people may like this movie and how others will not like it. It just depends on what you want out of a Conan movie. Action and adventure or a compelling story with good character development. I wanted all of the above cause I felt the original delivered all of the above.

A well done review though, direct and to the point. Good job.

Arnold liked it, I loved it, seen it 3 times, can't wait to see it again. 3D and 2D seen it loved it. Kinda movie that makes you want to be a Swordmaster. Best part is when he gets his Dad's Sword back. AWESOME!!!!!!



EVERY "GAME OF THRONES" FAN SHOULD GO AND REPRESENT!!!!! THIS MOVIE REALLY MAKES UP FOR MOMOA'S SHORT TIME ON THAT SHOW. ACTION IS TOTALLY WICKED.

I thought the movie was truer to Howard's character than the original. I enjoyed the over all feel of the movie and the reference to things from the Conan universe. I'd like to see the movie do better than it has so far. Momoa does an great job portraying Conan. I'll likely see it 2 or 3 more times.

Don't feel too bad buddy. The other day I was reported for liking it too much. People were insulting me, and I said some mean things too. I'm just glad you saw it yourself, and came up with your own conclusion. Everybody that was hating on me and the movie didn't even see it. Then they repoted me so much they got all my comment entries for the last 2 months totally wiped. I liked it so much, people thought I was Momoa himself, and started hating even more.
