'MAN OF STEEL' San Diego Comic-Con Viral Video

"Man of Steel" begins viral marketing efforts ahead of tomorrow's San Diego Comic Con panel. The Last Son of Krypton is flying in tomorrow folks, what are you hoping will be announced during tomorrow's Superman 75th Anniversary panel?

This is the first of what will probably be more viral videos to come. At this point, I have no idea where this viral promotional effort is heading. Hopefully it leads to the announcement of "Man of Steel 2" during tomorrow's panel.

In an ideal world, we would have Goyer announcing his retirement and apologising to fans everywhere.
Jollem - 7/19/2013, 5:15 PM
kay...that was pretty cool. yay for goyer :)
teabag - 7/19/2013, 5:18 PM
The cure for whiskey dick!!?? :)
TheSuperguy - 7/19/2013, 5:18 PM
I really hope they announce MOS 2&3, and a Flash movie. WB should start releasing two CBM's a year.
Tony93 - 7/19/2013, 5:19 PM
future plans for the DCU now!!!!!!!!!!
JULEZ13 - 7/19/2013, 5:19 PM
That's pretty cool. Lets hope it is MOS2 along with something else! If it's just MOS2 I will be pretty disappointed.

And yes, Goyer needs help with his scriptwriting. Has anyone watched his DaVinci's Demons show? Man, it sucks!
Steping - 7/19/2013, 5:20 PM
Please let there be a MoS II announcement!!
whoa123 - 7/19/2013, 5:22 PM
That was cool, goosebumpsssss
Gunslinger - 7/19/2013, 5:24 PM
@BlackJack10 People seem to forget that Begins and TDK (I will not mention TDKR cause I want to pretend it never happened) were co-written with Jonah Nolan. Goyer on his own... well, look at MoS... best line in that was a direct lift from Grant Morrison's All Star Superman. He's overrated imho.
MarkV - 7/19/2013, 5:29 PM
I hope they announce Goyer is off the script.

Look, I have a lot of love for Man of Steel but it has it's share of problems. Some dialogue was SO bad.
teabag - 7/19/2013, 5:29 PM
Sarah Jessica Parker for Comet :)
Jollem - 7/19/2013, 5:31 PM
@MarkV - there's bad dialogue in pretty much every cbm
Jollem - 7/19/2013, 5:32 PM
same with the comics, but i love it :)
JULEZ13 - 7/19/2013, 5:32 PM
I don't think Goyer should be COMPLETELY removed from MOS2, he just can't be the main writer. He needs to team up with someone who knows the ins and outs of story telling. He should be there for the comic book tie ins only - which is a HUGE part - but, leave the rest - the actual film-writing process - to the proven professional.
Gunslinger - 7/19/2013, 5:32 PM
@deadpool = lol, you're right
Lastson609 - 7/19/2013, 5:35 PM
More than likely the title for MoS 2 :)
DaVinci31 - 7/19/2013, 5:37 PM
@Gunslinger Yeah, people fail to realize Jonathan Nolan and Chris Nolan are the actual stars. Not the Goyer/ Chris duo. You could even say Jonathan is maybe better given he mostly wrote memento and the idea for the show person of interest. Anyway i hope goyer is off screen writing duties for the sequel, that was the main issue in mos(for me). And just like jeremy jahns said, less could've been more (in the terms of the action).
teabag - 7/19/2013, 5:38 PM
Since ol Supes spent most of his time chewing concrete perhaps the sequel title will be

Man Down

@DAVinci31 - completely agree
Whiteandgold - 7/19/2013, 5:41 PM
What are you guys talking about? It was a solid script.
DaVinci31 - 7/19/2013, 5:42 PM
@ALegendaryPanda Careful I think some guy just got like 10 years for making a threat like that lol
WhoDaFoo - 7/19/2013, 5:45 PM
Drop Goyer. The Nolans need to be in charge of the DCCU. It was mainly their input that made TDK series what it is. Call me a Nolanite or whatever, but he knows how to manage a group of characters (Inception!), and can provide a packed story and action.

If WB wants to get the best out of DC's characters, they need to put them (at least, Jonathan) in charge of writing, and Chris as creative consultant with him directing Justice League in 2017-ish.

Give us Wonder Woman (beat Marvel to a female hero!), new Batman, Flash, and MOS2 for 2015 and 2016. Justice League in 2017 with them 4 and Green Lantern (redemption for Reynolds). That will open doors to an even bigger universe and more stories.
ALegendaryPanda - 7/19/2013, 5:46 PM

Lol what threat?
DaVinci31 - 7/19/2013, 5:50 PM
@ALegendaryPanda Thank you for that laugh lol
Omarvls - 7/19/2013, 5:51 PM
aint it cool is reporting to have some info that

DC/WB will announce

Justice League & Batman Reboot for 2015

That would blow away anything that Marvel would announce at Comic Con
NostalgicYouth - 7/19/2013, 5:52 PM
I don't get what was so bad about the dialogue in Man of Steel. I could understand some pacing issues and some minor plot holes, but I didn't detect anything wrong with the dialogue.
marvel72 - 7/19/2013, 5:52 PM
other characters getting movies,f*ck batman & superman getting movies all the time.

its meant to be a dc shared universe, not shared between batman & superman.
113 - 7/19/2013, 5:54 PM
That was pretty cool...Come on DCCU!
Mendenhall12 - 7/19/2013, 5:56 PM
This is pretty cool
THEDARKKNIGHT1939 - 7/19/2013, 5:56 PM
Give me five lines from Man of Steel that "suck"
We all know one of them is "I think he's kinda hot" so try to resist from that one.
ManofwooD - 7/19/2013, 5:59 PM
BadJoke - 7/19/2013, 6:00 PM
If it's only a campaign for the Blu-Ray or some shit like that, I would be very disappointed. Let's pray for a big announcement.
jcfrommars9 - 7/19/2013, 6:01 PM
In that video, did Superman take off from the roof or through the roof?
Bodwulf - 7/19/2013, 6:02 PM
"If we are done measuring dicks."
DaVinci31 - 7/19/2013, 6:02 PM
@NostalgicYouth @THEDARKKNIGHT1939 I still believe Man of Steel is one of the best movies of the year, but I wished the dialogue could of been deeper just as the story was complex. It was adequate, but I just expected more.
Mendenhall12 - 7/19/2013, 6:05 PM
@Gunslinger- Jonathan had nothing to do with Batman Begins. Christopher Nolan and Goyer wrote the script.
pud333 - 7/19/2013, 6:11 PM
WB's viral marketing is awesome.
MarkV - 7/19/2013, 6:13 PM
The scene at the end in the grave yard with ma kent. "I just wish dad was here to see it"

Dude, your battle just killed like a million people and you're sad that dad didn't see it?

It was an obvious reshoot and it came across really bad.

I LOVED seeing Cavill as Superman, but come on.
HavocPrime - 7/19/2013, 6:15 PM
That is pretty cool marketing, and I really want a Man of Steel sequel.
