Stan Lee Coming To Salt Lake Comic Con 2014

Salt Lake Comic Con (saltlakecomiccon.com) have announced that legendary comic creator Stan Lee is coming back to Salt Lake Comic Con on September 4-6, 2014. Stan Lee Photo Ops and Autographs can be purchased in advance on SaltLakeComicCon.com!

Lee is currently the Chairman and Chief Creative Officer of POW! Entertainment, a multimedia entertainment company based in Beverly Hills, CA. POW! has created numerous new characters and stories in areas including publishing, film, TV, reality, stage, documentary, and multimedia.  He currently remains Chairman Emeritus of Marvel, as well as a member of the Editorial Board of Marvel Comics and is the most popular and famous comic creator in history.

“Stan was a fan favorite at our inaugural Salt Lake Comic Con last September and is sure to be enthusiastically welcomed back this year,” said Dan Farr, Salt Lake Comic Con Founder and Show Producer.  “Stan is really the ‘King of the Comic Con circuit’ and his presence at our event the last two years is a huge honor and is further proof that Salt Lake City is becoming one of the most important pop culture hotspots in the world.”

Last September Lee was a last minute addition to the Salt Lake Comic Con celebrity guest list.  He attended Saturday and was picked up on the airport tarmac by Utah Governor Gary R. Herbert and escorted into the Salt Palace by United States Air Force personnel.

“We had our fans vote for which alumni guest they most wanted to see return to Salt Lake Comic Con and Stan won by a margin of 2 to 1 over any other guest,” said Bryan Brandenburg, Salt Lake Comic Con Co-Founder and Chief Marketing Officer. “So we’re bringing him back this time for two days so he can have a better chance of meeting all the fans that want to meet the legend who is Stan Lee. It will be fun to see him interact with our other guests like Lou Ferrigno who Lee said was born to be the Hulk and Michael Rosenbaum who Lee said was the best Lex Luthor ever.”

I hope Stan Lee lives forever, but I need to go to one of these and meet before it's too late.

@Doopie & @MrMartinEvil Holy shit me too. I guess I'm a little paranoid since Robin Williams. That was unexpected.

It really is quite strange how we all thought he had died. Perhaps like MrCBM said we're all just paranoid because of Robin Williams? OR IS IT SOMETHING ELSE?!?!?!?

Joe...from what I understand, he's a really nice guy who never turns down an autograph, which is great for me...because I have a feeling that now is the time to get those autographs as they may become suddenly valuable in, oh I don't know, ten years from now?

Mercwitham0uth - 8/15/2014, 4:06 PM
@marvel72

I got to meet him at last years Fan Expo Vancouver. He was awesome. Had to pay him $50 for his signature though but it was worth it.

Got him to sign my Amazing Spider-Man #93 (A issue he wrote).

If he does come back for next year I'll gladly pay for another signature.
marvel72 - 8/15/2014, 4:22 PM
@ Mercwitham0uth

$50! really,cost me f*ck all.i met him at stateside comics in london he was signing anything that was put in front of him.

got him to sign a copy of a book called MARVEL by les daniels.

vPuik - 8/15/2014, 4:25 PM
I got a picture with him last year in SLCC. I might get my Spidey #700 signed this year. It's pricey, he's not going to be around much longer.
UltimateHunt - 8/15/2014, 4:41 PM
His Coming next week to chicago, I hope I get to meet him
dennist41 - 8/15/2014, 5:28 PM
Paid $65 to have him sign my Avengers #11 at Mega-Con in Orlando this past March. He's the Man!

JoshWilding - 8/15/2014, 5:54 PM
Met Stan Lee in London in 2012. Such a legend - if you've never seen him, you've gotta take the opportunity while you can. He's The Man!

Mercwitham0uth - 8/15/2014, 6:27 PM
@marvel72

Yeah he was charging $50 per sig. Sucks but it was probably a once in a life time opportunity.
batz11 - 8/15/2014, 6:32 PM
