SDCC '14: AGENT CARTER Meets AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D. Banner Revealed

A limited edition Comic-Con poster depicting two very different generations of S.H.I.E.L.D. has been unveiled. On one side we have Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., returning for its second season, and on the other we have the upcoming Marvel's Agent Carter, starring Hayley Atwell. Check it out!

TV Guide just released the first look at a limited edition poster that will be available at this year's San Diego Comic-Con. The 'Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. meets Agent Carter' poster depicts two very different generations of the Strategic Homeland Intervention Enforcement Logistics Division, better known as S.H.I.E.L.D. On one side you have Clark Gregg's Phil Coulson, backed by his team, and on the other you have Hayley Atwell's Peggy Carter, one of the founding members of S.H.I.E.L.D., standing alone. This may mean something as to which direction Agent Carter may go when it premieres or it may just mean that Atwell's supporting cast has yet to be cast.

Anyways, it's still a pretty cool piece. The poster was designed by artist Matt Ferguson and will be available at SDCC free of charge. Be sure to pick it up if you attend!

It’s 1946, and peace has dealt Peggy Carter a serious blow as she finds herself marginalized when the men return home from fighting abroad. Working for the covert SSR (Strategic Scientific Reserve), Peggy must balance doing administrative work and going on secret missions for Howard Stark.

Clark Gregg reprises his role of Agent Phil Coulson from Marvel’s feature films, as he assembles a small, highly select group of Agents from the worldwide law-enforcement organization known as S.H.I.E.L.D. Together they investigate the new, the strange, and the unknown across the globe, protecting the ordinary from the extraordinary. Coulson's team consists of Agent Grant Ward, highly trained in combat and espionage; Agent Melinda May, expert pilot and martial artist; Agent Leo Fitz, brilliant engineer; and Agent Jemma Simmons, genius bio-chemist. Joining them on their journey into mystery is new recruit and computer hacker, Skye.

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. returns September 23.
Agent Carter premieres January 2015.

This is more like a banner, but nice find!
Doopie - 7/18/2014, 6:24 AM
So is Agent Carter all alone? Thought she might get a team of her own. How do people feel about time travel? Possibly connect the two shows somehow?
DEVLIN712 - 7/18/2014, 6:30 AM
I think it'll happen eventually, if Peggy started investigating some of Hydra's experimental projects she could easily get sent forward.
Kayo - 7/18/2014, 6:31 AM
do howling commandos show up on AC?
YeezusWept - 7/18/2014, 6:33 AM

Time travel? Hopefully not. It's better they use a revelation about the past in AoS midseason finale, and then explore that event during Agent Carter's run. It doesn't have to have Peggy and Coulson in the same room together to feel connected.
Doopie - 7/18/2014, 6:38 AM
I don't think it needs to happen and I'd rather see Coulson go back than Peggy come forward but there are a lot of possibilities that open up with this scenario, similar to what StarYeezus says. I dunno, I wouldn't be surprised if we see something like it happen.
kinghulk - 7/18/2014, 6:38 AM
Kayo- i hope so, dum dum dugan and howard stark should need to show up at the very least. especially with howard being one of the founding members of shield.
Doopie - 7/18/2014, 6:43 AM
will zola be around?
FastFlames - 7/18/2014, 6:46 AM
I would buy this if I were going to Comic Con!
BatzFTWfan - 7/18/2014, 6:54 AM
You think we're going to have a Time Gem in both shows ?
If so that leaves only Soul Gem for doctor strange movie.

monkeyjoe70 - 7/18/2014, 7:00 AM
if Agent Carter has a Noir feel then i'm all set
blackandyellow - 7/18/2014, 7:04 AM
Agent Carter is Marvel's version of Gotham. Both of them sound awful.
DrKinsolving - 7/18/2014, 7:04 AM
I'm not sure if I'm interested in the Agent Carter show. I'm guessing it takes place after Cap was frozen

I wonder if Hank Pym will be mentioned
YeezusWept - 7/18/2014, 7:06 AM

"We can do this the easy way or the hard way. The choice is yours."
PymParticle - 7/18/2014, 7:09 AM
Better be howling commandos
Philvis - 7/18/2014, 7:13 AM
ABC should drop AOS and give Agent Carter a full season pickup instead.
TheRealRemyLebeau - 7/18/2014, 7:20 AM
Sorry @B&Y but one show has Haley Atwell and another has a child catwoman who looks like she/man. So I say Agent Carter sounds good. ;)
TheRealRemyLebeau - 7/18/2014, 7:22 AM
An ABC executive should stop by your home @philvis and slap you for being a diabolical hater and revoke any access you have to marvel. ;p
TheRealRemyLebeau - 7/18/2014, 7:25 AM
Ward is clearly in the shadow in that poster. It's either ABC hasn't shown any new promotional pics and are reusing old pics for that poster or it's a clue that ward will still be involved in shady way that's not apart of the team. That's my guess. Oh and no time travel or infinity gems please. Leave that for the movies.
Philvis - 7/18/2014, 7:27 AM
The truth hurts TheRealRemy. The Agent Carter one shot blew every single hour long episode of AOS out of the water as far as I'm concerned. If the series is similar to that, it's going to make AOS look like that JLA pilot NBC did in the early 90's.
TheRealRemyLebeau - 7/18/2014, 7:29 AM
Howling commandos will probably make a guest appearance while Howard Stark will probably be a reoccurring star on Agent Carter.
McNyagano - 7/18/2014, 7:31 AM

TheRealRemyLebeau - 7/18/2014, 7:33 AM
@philvis no truth does not hurt as AOS leveled off to have a consistent viewership between 5-6 million viewers with a rating of 2-2.5 if I'm not mistaken. Episode 7 (fzzt) on up were good to great. Agent Carter one shot was excellent as well. Thank you very much.
Spideyinthemcu - 7/18/2014, 7:35 AM
Aos season 2 will suck even more than the first season. And ac will suck as well. Whats with giving characters tv shows that are not strong enough to carry the show. If coulson and company were string enough they would have been made main characters not supporting characters. The executives at abc must smoke alot of illegal substances to have greenlit aos season 2
TheRealRemyLebeau - 7/18/2014, 7:40 AM
@spideyinmcu Suck? Lol yeah sure and you'll still be watching without a doubt. Thank you very much.
charlie2094 - 7/18/2014, 7:47 AM
That's a pretty cool design, hopefully both turn out well. Didn't think much of AoS Season 1, but started showing potential, hopefully they reach it this time. Carter could be great, love the setting.

Be interesting to see how, if at all, they reference each other. What with the Hydra stuff going on, maybe they investigate some of the past in AoS, directly leading in to actually going into the past SHIELD with Carter. Could be cool
grif - 7/18/2014, 7:51 AM
both shit.
Haff - 7/18/2014, 7:51 AM
I really want to be hyped for AOS season 2 and Agent Carter, but I just couldn't get into AOS. The cast, Clark Gregg and the Asian woman aside, were just plain irritating. I really wanted to like it, I really did...
Haff - 7/18/2014, 7:51 AM
That's a sick banner though.
CherryBomb - 7/18/2014, 7:54 AM
Awesome poster!
So excited for Agent Carter. Peggy is one of the best female characters in the MCU, she's so bad ass. Love her!
Doopie - 7/18/2014, 7:54 AM
if you're going to do TV shows, you need someone to be in them. They may not be major characters but what they do do is connect to the larger universe. Which is kind of the point. DC tv shows may not do this but they do at least feature bigger named characters.

fortycals - 7/18/2014, 7:54 AM

Can't wait
CherryBomb - 7/18/2014, 7:55 AM
I'm happy Skye has moved further back. They tried to put her front and center before, but FitzSimmons are way more interesting characters than her.
CherryBomb - 7/18/2014, 7:56 AM
Last thing, I'm really happy for Hayley!
They really should've made her blonde and brought her back for TWS, but it's good they're bringing her back with her own show.
Japhath - 7/18/2014, 8:03 AM
Dum Dum Dugan would be B.A. Barracas!!!!! It would be a great tie-in.

Why do they still mention Ward as being part of the team?!?
hgokuh - 7/18/2014, 8:27 AM
So, the only thing good the did in AoS, taking Ward out, it's been undone? I may just skip this season, which is probably the last.
jmitch713 - 7/18/2014, 8:33 AM
Why is Ward still in the cast??
yossarian - 7/18/2014, 8:54 AM
I about about 4 houses away from quitting this house hunting entirely. These people trying to sell are insane people.
Chewtoy - 7/18/2014, 9:17 AM
I'm looking forward to some noir-era spy escapades. Go Carter!
