This series sucks ass. Peter Jackson going all George Lucas on us. Lack of Bilbo yet titled THE HOBBIT. Snoozefest.
Reasonnnn - 7/28/2014, 12:11 PM
I hope it deviates and Smaug kills them all.

Damn! Still miss the 'There and Back Again' title.
JAC - 7/28/2014, 12:16 PM
I saw the 15 second teaser yesterday and that's enough; seeing any more would just detract from the experience.
JoeMomma29 - 7/28/2014, 12:16 PM

JoeMomma29 - 7/28/2014, 12:17 PM

Doll Island is the only place on earth I would not go to.
Null - 7/28/2014, 12:23 PM
Ok, I just watched Smaug and luckily I didn't fall asleep. Dr. Watson is good but man, I don't know if I could make it again.
JoeMomma29 - 7/28/2014, 12:24 PM
@ Yoss

Yup same here man, that is one of my biggest fears dolls, heights, and people smiling in the dark.

Middle-Earth is coming to an end, and I honestly couldn't be happier. These films (The Hobbit trilogy primarily) are bloated, some-what incoherent movies that are designed with great detail to trick you into thinking you're watching this masterpiece.

With that said, I do love the LoTR trilogy. Brilliant, but has many flaws.

The Hobbit movies are trash.

Smaug however, was great. Laketown was beautifully done.
Danbojohnj - 7/28/2014, 12:26 PM
Cool as up until the cart on the ice with the wargs bit.

The worst bits of any Tolkien film have always been stuff that isn't in the books,Legolas better not start suffing on trolls or whatever, might as well draft JarJar in.
CaptainPete17 - 7/28/2014, 12:26 PM
I've loved these Hobbit films so far, The Hobbit is my favourite book of all time but I fully appreciate the changes Jackson has made in order to make these movies. Gimme more Tauriel!
WinterAvenger - 7/28/2014, 12:26 PM
I can't wait :D

Ahem that would be SURFING.

Good choice of "trailer music".

I guess that the rumor is true. That the tone of the film will link the Hobbit trilogy to the Lord of the Rings trilogy, in the best possible way.
ProfessorX - 7/28/2014, 12:28 PM
Nice poster. Meh trailer.
HelaGood - 7/28/2014, 12:30 PM
LOVE Billy Boyd's song! Happy to hear it again.
ALegendaryPanda - 7/28/2014, 12:30 PM
Wow! That was [frick]ing awesome!!
cyns - 7/28/2014, 12:30 PM
I went to theater for the first film and thought it was a very slow start, even more than the first of the LOTR trilogy. I skipped out on the second. This trailer looks amazing so I will have to not miss it.
Sector2814 - 7/28/2014, 12:33 PM
those last 2 have me cautiously optimistic now. but that was a pretty darn good trailer
giannis - 7/28/2014, 12:35 PM
Must see in HFR 3D!
rea1dea1stee1 - 7/28/2014, 12:35 PM
cant wait for this ;)
BigMikeReviews - 7/28/2014, 12:38 PM
Unimpressive, CGI laden digital mess that has more fan fiction than actual content derived from the book.

Very appropriate to use Pippin's song sung to Denethor during the Return of the King as the trailer music
SwagInScience - 7/28/2014, 12:50 PM
Love that they used Billy Boyds songs from Return of The King. Shit got real when Faramir was riding to certain death.
TheAstoundingMan - 7/28/2014, 12:53 PM
I can't help but get excited for this. It may very well be the last time Middle Earth is depicted in film for some time, for better or for worse.
Christuffer - 7/28/2014, 12:53 PM
Lol @ all the people who dislike the Hobbit trilogy. I understand that everybody can't like everything, that's only natural. If you think it's boring, whatever, I tried to watch Doctor Who and I thought it was boring. Everybody can't like everything. But the reasons that you guys bring up about why you don't like it are the most blissfully ignorant, uninformed, why-are-you-even-on-this-website, type of reasons and foolishness that I've ever heard. That's it -- I'm doing an editorial on it. I can't hold it in any longer.

Haha. 'The Battle of the Five Armies' is going to rock, can't wait.
Alexjames13 - 7/28/2014, 12:54 PM
did anyone else get the chills? they are legit gonna goo all out on this one! not gonna hold anything bacK!
