Deborah Ann Woll is very cute. But she was better looking as a redhead on True Blood. Still, this show looks extremely good, and I can't wait.

The more I think of it, the more I want Spidey to really team up with DD at some point. It would be awesome... just think about it...

It would kinda be a buddy cop team up. Spidey is all wise cracking and DD is all brooding.

Oh and here is my list for making MCU Spidey cool.

1. Make sure Peter Parker isn't cool. Spider-Man is cool. Peter is normal. That's the thing they lost in the ASM movies.

2. Netflix Series: more character development and the big screen needs a break from Spider-Man this way Black Panther and Captain Marvel don't have to be pushed back and the audience can have a new hero instead of just another Spider-Man reboot. Talk about over saturation well having so many Spidey reboots isn't helping!

3. Young actor that will be in their teens for a while. Someone that can grow up with the series like the Harry Potter films or Buffy The Vampire Slayer.

4. Use Spidey in the movies, but just have him be teaming up with someone else. I don't want to see a Spidey solo film for a while, but I'd love it if he teamed up with someone else. That's the whole thing of him being in the MCU now. A DD team up is a must!

5. Don't reveal his secret ID. The last few movies have revealed his secret to pretty much everyone that counts. We need to make his ID something worth hiding so when someone does find out, it has major consequences. Please let the first season or so have no one find out his ID.

6. Have him be brilliant but have a strong sense of morality. Peter should be a cross between Tony Stark and Steve Rogers. Tony's brilliant mind and snark but with Steve Rogers compassion and moral right and wrong.

7. Have the Spidey series be fun, yet with a strong story and human characters. A series doesn't have to be "dark" to have emotion.

8. Make Spidey quip but more like in Buffy the Vampire Slayer or Spectacular Spider-Man (cartoon series) so that it doesn't just become annoying.

9. Make him a crime fighter. I'd love to see Doc Ock, King Pin, Silvermane and Norman Osborn all in a gang war over who controls the city.

10. Whatever you do, get the right actor to play Peter Parker. I don't honestly care if he's Black, Hispanic, Latino, Asian, or Arabic. He just needs to be the DEFINITIVE PETER PARKER. And if that is a white guy then, cast him! I don't care the race, I just want a good Peter Parker.

Great list and I agree with everything except three parts:

2. The Netflix thing wouldn't be beneficial for Marvel because they believe they have at-least one chance to make the Spider-Man movie franchise a hot seller again. Putting him on Netflix would reduce his movie anticipation and may even hurt it if they eventually try to transition the series into solo movies; that doesn't always work and can seem gimmicky.

4. They're sort of doing that by introducing him in Civil War first. We're gonna get to know the character before we get the solo film. The way you suggest though would make him like Hawkeye or Black Widow and Marvel does not want Spidey to have the same status as those two (No offense to Hawkeye or Widow, I love them, but it's true). They want him focus of attention, number uno again.

10. No! Peter Parker must be white. If they want to introduce Miles later on, cool, but Peter was and will forever be white. If they change his race, I will not see this film. For the record, I am half Caucasian and half Hispanic so I'm not being racist but I grew up with a white Peter and that was who I loved as a kid so I won't accept otherwise.

Anyway, I agree: I hope we see a Spidey/DD team up sooner than later.

You're 100% right with that: Sony needs money badly and would be moving forward with the Spider-Man franchise with or without Marvel so yes, they did make sure a reboot would be out soon. Actually, Marvel themselves demanded a sequel be released in 2019 but I guess that's because they want to start a franchise after the first film and that makes sense.

Marvel didn't need Spider-Man and they would have preferred to not announce those films then delay them. If Marvel had the choice, I bet they would indeed introduce him after Infinity War. Avengers 3 does seem to be the end of this era and the start of something new; Phases 1, 2, and 3 were all pretty similar but I think with Phase 4 we may see a big of change of characters as actors choose to move in other directions. They'll certainly stay to complete the arc of their characters (for the fans) but very few people have the dedication of Hugh Jackman to keep coming back.

That would have been the perfect time to bring in Peter Parker and make him the Tony Stark of the new era. In-fact, the Spider-Man reboot could have been the first film of Phase 4 and been like 2008's Iron Man, the start of everything to come. The way it really is though is Marvel have to use him right now and if they still have the deal with Sony by the time Phase 4 begins, we will have an already well loved Spidey take over after Avengers 3. It's either/or and doesn't make too much of a difference but it may get overstuffed bringing him in so soon.

Peter was never cool in TASM movies. there was nothing that made him cool. geeks today can skateboard and it's considered a loner sport, geeks today dress the same way as garfield and that hair is nothing special since most of our hairstyles aren't that good either and peter had that hairstyle anyway.

i so wish Andrew Garfield's peter parker/spiderman and Charlie Cox's Daredevil teamed up.

Yes DD has to meet and team up with Spidey at some point, he could even train him (along with Iron fist) andintroduce him to the defenders to show that hes not alone on the streets of new york against thugs and the mob and ue can call then anytime.

I don't think Daredevil is that kind of series. They are treating these things like small scale movies so I don't think we'll be getting yearly entries. Next year we'll be getting Luke Cage and Ironfist. Then the year after that we'll be getting the Defenders mini series.

I only recently realised that tis and AoU are thirteen days apart in the UK. You can watch an episode a day in the build up to AoU.

I'm definitely going to be binge watching this and excited to do so, but I am old school and prefer to have a new episode once a week over a period of time.

@EzioKenway1225 @DevarikaWoulf The thing is, and I've heard from GA people are a bit tired of Spider-Man. They're like meh. And want to see more Avengers films. Or Guardians. New characters, I feel that if they really make another movie it might hurt the franchise worse.

The Netflix series would be the grounds for people to get used to the new Spidey and see he's different from the others. A lot of people are going to probably think that it's another sequel to the ASM movies. Which would be horrible, because those movies barely made anything. GOTG beat them and was a new franchise!

Think about Hulk. TIH was a fantastic film. But most figured it was a sequel to the terrible first one, and thus had a loooooooooooooooooooooow box office. You can't just reboot the reboot so fast on the big screen.

Having a Netflix series would introduce him to the new generation since, well everyone watches Netflix. So while it might not make as much money, it would help the franchise a ton. And have a build it fan base so that when he can get his solo film, he'll make money again.

Besides they can have Spidey cameo in like EVERYTHING. People would see films that could use a boost if Spidey just had a small cameo. People want Spidey to team up with others. We can wait for a solo film till he earns it.

@Ruhail Fantastic idea!

You're right about Spidey fatigue, and The Incredible Hulk too. A Netflix series could have worked as more low-key introduction prior to a movie but Marvel has to do otherwise. I guess we shall wait and see but I have a feeling whatever Marvel do with him in Civil War is going to cause people to flock to his film the following year; Marvel is a very different beast now compared to 2008 and people do love and trust them, just look at GotG's success.

@DevarikaWoulf Why is it they has success though? Because they take risks and make NEW stories. It's like Pixar. Pixar was fantastic until a few years ago where the content level went out the window and we were left with a lot of mixed bag of films.

Even if they're as big as Google, doesn't mean they can't make a mistake and ultimately fall in a downward spiral. This is why it's so important they don't do this.

I'm trying to get this idea everywhere I can so that they'll see it and do something about it. Hopefully they're realize it's their best option after Sony ruined the franchise.
