ARROW Season 2 Tidbits From Stephen Amell And More

ARROW Season 2 Tidbits From Stephen Amell And More

Ten episodes remain for Arrow season 2, including this Wednesday's all new episode, "Time of Death", featuring the debut of The Clock King as played by Robert Knepper. The cast and crew of the superhero drama preview what's still to come.

TV Line runs down a list of tips from the likes of Stephen Amell, Emily Bett Rickards and other members of the Arrow cast and creative team on what's still to come on Arrow season 2.

  • Stephen Amell says that even though Sara (Caity Lotz) and Roy (Colton Haynes)are in the Arrowcave, he says the core of Team Arrow will remain Oliver, Diggle (David Ramsey) and Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards). "I mean, there's myself, Diggle and Felicity -- and everybody else for the moment is just kind of a visitor."

  • On why Oliver hooks up with Sara, when earlier in the season, he told Felicity that he can't date someone he cares about because of the dangerous nature of how he spends his nights fighting on rooftops. Essentially, it boils down to the fact that Sara can take care of herself. Said Amell, "Part of what Oliver said to Felicity in that episode is that he doesn't know if he's willing to open himself up to having feelings for her, if in fact he does, because the danger is so imminent when you're in close proximity to him.... Him working with her and her working with him is one thing, but a relationship is another."

  • David Ramsey said The Suicide Squad episode has a huge payoff for the Season 2 finale. "There's a bigger story with the Suicide Squad and ... their involvement perhaps with Team Arrow in the future. There's a lot of set-up for the season finale.... Big stuff."

  • The current arc with Manu Bennett's Slade Wilson is something the Arrow showrunners planed over a year ago says executive producer Marc Guggenheim. "We knew that John Barrowman's character [of Malcolm Merlyn] would be the Big Bad of Season 1. And we knew that if Manu [Bennett] worked out, in success he would be the Big Bad of Season 2. So this was always the plan. And it's exciting, because we are literally shooting stuff, and moments, that we talked about over a year ago."

There's a few more tidbits on Thea (Willa Holland), Moira (Sussana Thompson) and Sin (Bex Taylor-Klaus) over at the source so click the link at the top to head over to TV Line. Based on all that's transpire so far and the hints just provided, where do you think Season 2 is headed over the next 10 episodes? There was a big hint about H.I.V.E. revealed recently that hasn't progressed very far but it sounds like we'll be coming back to that element in Diggle's standalone episode.

"After a violent shipwreck, billionaire playboy Oliver Queen was missing and presumed dead for five years before being discovered alive on a remote island in the Pacific. When he returns home to Starling City, his devoted mother Moira, much-beloved sister Thea, and best friend Tommy welcome him home, but they sense Oliver has been changed by his ordeal on the island. While Oliver hides the truth about the man he’s become, he desperately wants to make amends for the actions he took as the boy he was. Most particularly, he seeks reconciliation with his former girlfriend, Laurel Lance. As Oliver reconnects with those closest to him, he secretly creates the persona of Arrow – a vigilante – to right the wrongs of his family, fight the ills of society, and restore Starling City to its former glory. By day, Oliver plays the role of a wealthy, carefree and careless philanderer he used to be – flanked by his devoted chauffeur/bodyguard, John Diggle – while carefully concealing the secret identity he turns to under cover of darkness. However, Laurel’s father, Detective Quentin Lance, is determined to arrest the vigilante operating in his city. Meanwhile, Oliver’s own mother, Moira, knows much more about the deadly shipwreck than she has let on – and is more ruthless than he could ever imagine."
