@MafiaBillCipher - In season 1 of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., they mention that a character was a member of Department H, which is the Canadian governmental department that Alpha Flight is run through. That being said, I definitely thought it was firmly in the hands of the MCU, without the mutant members, of course. Perhaps Alpha Flight is shared property like the Watchers and Quicksilver.

@TheRose - Yeah its probably shared rights. At least Department H is true to form in the MCU and not an airline. If anything this easter egg kills chances of a Fox Alpha Flight.

Maybe they could show up on Agents of Shield next season in a similar capacity to how they are being used currently in Captain Marvel comics.

Hmm, this gag implies that we WON'T see the real Alpha Flight in the movies.

I'm kind of over Easter eggs. Like they were fun back in the day but after you've seen Ant-man and Doctor Strange and Black Panther and all these other crazy little known characters on the big screen then it's hard to care at all about these kind of things. You see it and it's "well why do that? Obviously Alpha Flight could star in their own movie, you are already making a New Mutants movie".

Even if this was a legit setup for a future live action Alpha Flight product, we all know how it'll go. Only half the team would be used if that, characters as we know them will be swapped out for the sake of "diversity", the costumes, should they appear, will be redesigned into dumb looking leather jumpsuits, culminating in a product so watered down from what everyone loves that we will all wish they had never even bothered in the first place. Anyone interested in that?

Kinda bummed that Fox has the rights to them. I had held out hope that the MCU could spring them on us as a surprise.
