ONCE UPON A DEADPOOL Extended Clip Finds Wade And Fred Rocking Out To Nickleback ONCE UPON A DEADPOOL Extended Clip Finds Wade And Fred Rocking Out To Nickleback

A funny new clip from Once Upon a Deadpool has been released, featuring Wade Wilson (Ryan Reynolds) leaping to Nickleback's defense after Fred Savage (himself) makes fun of the Canadian rock-group...

Everyone has poked a bit of fun at Nickleback at some point, but it's clearly not something The Merc With a Mouth sees the funny side of.

In this latest look at Once Upon a Deadpool, Wade is quick to defend the much-maligned band when Fred Savage calls them “overproduced, formulaic ear garbage," listing off the group's numerous awards and accomplishments while dropping a bleeped-out F-bomb for good measure.

Savage then feels bad, and offers his hand to a sulking 'Pool before pair launch into a rendition of "the Back's" biggest hit, "How You Remind Me."

The band then sent out the following Tweet in response.

"Fox has been asking for a PG-13 basically since the start in 2006," Reynolds explained in a recent interview. "I've said no since 2006. Now, this one time, I said 'Yes' on two conditions. First, a portion of the proceeds had to go to charity. Second, I wanted to kidnap Fred Savage. The second condition took some explaining..."

Once Upon a Deadpool is set for release on December 12.

Feels like i'm in a small minority liking the 2nd DP better than the first (which I loved as well!)

@Menks123 - I'm with you on that. The second one is far superior in my eyes.

@Menks123 - Maybe, but I think the 2nd movie is comic book movie perfection.

I really dislike the story of the first, and I think the villain is generic crap.

@Mrcool210 - its a close call but the first had more nudity

@Menks123 - I’m with you. Loved the 2nd one even more than the first, which I also enjoyed.

Back when I was in high school there was a thing called dress as a celebrity day. I glued a bunch of nickels to the backside of a t-shirt for that

Watched the R rated version last week and while I definitely liked some of their ideas, I think it suffered from budget constraints way more than the first one did, not to mention just having much worse ideas

The X-Force gag especially sucked because - as offbeat as that was - it basically robbed the movie of much more interesting characters and potential than what they ultimately left themselves with.

Not a bad movie, just not nearly as satisfying as the first one

@OmegaDaGrodd - I thought the X-Force gag was one of the best moments in a CM EVER. It wasn't epic - there's many other scenes within other CBM's that are more epic - but it "subverted expectations" perfectly. Fools like KK and RJ tried to do with TLJ and they failed miserably, while DP 2 pulled it off flawlessly.

Prior to the release, I picked up a few of Shatterstar's first comic in anticipation of some epic moments which would make the comic skyrocket in price... and all I could do when that scene happened was laugh because they really did punk me and many other collectors.

Awesome moment.

@xcan - I agree. Cried laughing at the X-Force bit. And, let’s be honest, other than Shatterstar the others were pretty Z-list. I think X-Force will be fine without them.

Now we just need Deadpool 3 to be a musical.

@Pantherpool - Or at the very least it should have an elaborate musical number with a HUGH JACKMAN cameo.

@PsychoticSpaceRaccoon - That may be the only way to tempt him into a DP venture.

I don't like Nickelback, but they have one awesome song

Honestly this makes me really want to see this version of DP2 just for these scenes. This was freaking awesome.

Oh and I unironically love nickelback. And I will not apologize for that.

That clip alone almost makes me want to go see the movie with the family over the holidays.

Donating to charity doesn't hurt either.

You can tell by this clip that Fred Savage is having a blast filming these scenes. He is really coming across great on the screen.

DP2 was a bloated mess peppered with fun little moments / ideas.

I actually enjoyed Venom more. There I said it.
