FAN ART: X-Men - Days Of Future Past

A fan poster displaying Bryan Singer's upcoming return as director of the X-Men series with 'Days Of Future Past', starring Patrick Stewart and Ian McKellen...SuperDude style!

Welcome ladies, gentlemen, mutants, and homo-sapiens!
With the recent wave of news regarding Bryan Singer's 'X-Men: Days Of Future Past', I thought I'd have a go at creating a small fan poster for the film, focusing on the element of there being two Charles Xavier's and two Magneto's (although the story is unknown at this point, a time travelling element would imply there will be two and not simply flashbacks/flashforwards).

X-Men: Days of Future Past - July 18 2014 - Directed by Bryan Singer.
Starring Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen, James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Jennifer Lawrence, and Nicholas Hoult. (With Hugh Jackman currently in talks to reprise his role of 'Wolverine')

Awesome. Great idea and concept!

This is great but I personally would have reversed it and had the older actors on the bottom. It just makes more sense from a marketing standpoint if this was official. Great job nonetheless.

RedHood13 @ Thank you dude! Glad you liked it!

TheRaven20 & Magnus66 @ Thanks guys!
Although why would it make sense from a marketing standpoint to have them the over way round? My train of thought was that Stewart and McKellen would be more known and bring back past viewers of X-Men film, making the poster more attracting of audience members. I'm not saying I'm right, just could either of you please elaborate?

I think its because this is a sequel to first class, where young erik and charles were the showcase, and i'm pretty sure theyre gonna be the main showcase in this movie as well. Great job on the poster though:)

bazinga85 @ Well tbh I'm pretty sure too that they're gonna be the main focus, just I was thinking in terms of bringing a wider audience in rather than plot representation in the poster (like how Arnold Schwarzenegger and Bruce Willis were put on a load of posters for the first Expendables but they only had a 5 min scene at the most). Anyhow thanks dude, glad you liked it!

Wow, easily one of the most well executed Fan-made posters I've ever seen. From a marketing stand point, a studio would probably make both versions with a different tag line on each. "Mutant and Proud" is a great tagline though for this one.

jjk2814 @ Thanks dude! To be honest I was thinking of doing a second poster whilst I was in the process of making the first; but I couldn't think of a tagline for each, then which shading and light should I use when swapping the duos, etc, and it just got too complicated.
TheRaven20 - 12/1/2012, 5:13 PM
@SuperDude001 Yeah my thought was since they're the young stars from the most recent first class. Regardless it's a great poster and I'd love to see more.
