Michael J. Fox - Spider-Man/Peter Parker

Michael J. Fox would have been the perfect Spidey back then, he really embodies everything Spidey is!

Casper Van Dien - Captain America/Steve Rogers

First off, Casper Van Dien has the look and I think he's a pretty decent actor.

Tom Cruise - Iron Man/Tony Stark

Back when I heard they were making an Iron Man movie I thought Tom Cruise would make an awesome Stark, and I still he would.

Dolph Lundgren - Thor

He made a terrible Punisher, but I think Dolph would of made a better Thor. I mean look at him!

James Spader - Hulk/Bruce Banner

James Spader is a good actor and if you've seen the Stargate movie, you would think he'd make a great Bruce Banner. Obvisously the Hulk would be CG.

Kurt Russell - Wolverine/James "Logan" Howlett

Kurt Russell would have made one badass Wolverine!

Bruce Willis - Nick Fury

Bruce Willis would make a great Nick Fury back then or even today!

Matthew Broderick - Mr Fantastic/Reed Richards

I think Matthew Broderick would a made a great Reed. He seems to have that smart quality that Reed has in my opinion.

Uma Thurman - Invisible Woman/Sue Storm

The only woman I can see playing Sue back then.

Edward Furlong - Human Torch/Johnny Storm

He just popped in my head when thinking of Johnny.

Kiefer Sutherland - The Thing/Ben Grimm

I think this is great choice.

Izabella Scorupco - Black Widow/Natalia Romanova

I really liked her in GoldenEye, and she would look good in a catsuit.

Cary Elwes - Hawkeye/Clint Barton

I like Cary Elwes I think he's a good actor. Probably he's role in Robin Hood: Men in Tights is the reason for this casting lol.

Will Smith - War Machine/James "Rhodey" Rhodes

Will Smith is a badass and I was rooting for him to be Rhodey when the movie was announced, he would have a great Rhodey in the 90's

Jim Carrey - Deadpool/Wade Wilson

This is a perfect choice! There both Canadian and funny! Jim Carrey was only guy to play Deadpool in the 90's!

Sylvester Stallone - The Punisher/Frank Castle

Sylvester Stallone would have made a better Punisher than Dolph Lundgren and Sly is a badass.

Burt Reynolds - General Thaddeus "Thunderbolt" Ross

Burt Reynolds is a good actor and he would defenitly owned as Ross.

Bill Pullman - Senator Robert Kelly

Bill Pullman would have been a great choice, hell I can see him playing Kelly in the first X-Men movie!

This is pretty awesome lol I like it overall. Some are odd but suitable for the timeline.

I gotta go with HailToTheKing here, Bruce would have been awesome as DP. But Jim Carrey is also a great choice too, i also wouldn't mind seeing him as Carnage.

This is a pretty awesome cast and a lot of origiinal ideas. the only choices I am not fond of are Furlong, Carey, and Stalone.

sorry but tom cruise as Stark doesn't work for me I like the guy more then most people but in the 90's the same man that playing him now would have been perfect then. Honestly I can't see anyone play Stark perfectly like RDJ does. Rest of the cast are pretty decent.

would have loved to see Fox as Spidey!

Edward Furlong would have been too young, back then. Everyone else is perfect. Tom Cruise was the one I wanted to play Tony before RDJ was cast.

Yes back in the day, Michael J Fox would have been the perfect Spider-Man/Peter Parker if it was the 1980s, if it is the 1990s I would have said Ethan Hawke as Spider-Man

As for Cap, back in the 1990s, I would have casted Casper Van Dien too as Captain America/Steve Rogers

As for Hulk/Bruce Banner, how about Timothy Hutton

Iron Man/Tony Stark definitely Tom Cruise


Thor yes Dolph Lundgren too

Kurt Russell as Wolverine as well


As for The Punisher, Stallone gets my pick also as Frank Castle

Bruce Willis would make the perfect 1990s version of Nick Fury

For Mr. Fantastic, Broderick would be the odds on favorite

For Sue Storm, Uma would probably be casted, and I happen to agree

For Johnny Storm, I would say River Phoenix as Johnny Storm if he did not die

For The Thing definitely Kiefer Sutherland

Famke Janssen would be my Black Widow

For Hawkeye/Clint Barton, I would cast Brad Pitt as Hawkeye from way back when

War Machine would definitely be Will Smith for me, as my Deadpool definitely it would be Johnny Depp

As Thunderbolt Ross definitely Donald Sutherland

Senator Kelly would be Bill Pullman for me also

Not only do I love this fan cast for its choices, but I just love this for its originality, this is pure genius!!! Love this article, and I never really thought about that, brilliant idea and job putting all the pieces together. You defiantly get my thumbs up, spectacular job

I hate fancasts, but yours is IDEAL. Except for Tom Cruise as Stark. Maybe back then, but no. I'm new here by the way.
