Reed Richards/Mr. Fantastic—Josh Brolin



I wanted a good actor who I looks like Reed and embodies his intelligence, focus, strength, and paternal role in the team, so I chose Josh Brolin.


Susan Storm/Invisible Woman—Monica Potter



This was the hardest character to cast. I originally intended for there to be quite an age difference between the actors playing Reed and Sue (6-8 years). I kept going back and forth (older Sue or younger Sue) as I wasn’t satisfied with any of the actors I had been looking at. When I finally decided to go a bit older, Monica Potter was the clear choice. She looks like Sue, she's beautiful, a good actor, and not Charlize Theron.


Johnny Storm/Human Torch—Stephen Amell



I originally casted a younger for Johnny, but this was when I had previously chosen a younger actress for Sue, so I went a little older here as well. There’s still quite an age difference between Potter and Amell (13 years), but it’s not noticeable. I think he’s a good actor, and he’s hot, so he’d be nice to look at.


Ben Grimm/The Thing—Liev Schreiber



Liev Schreiber is a brilliant actor who could bring a significant amount of depth to this character, and I think he’d be able to do a very convincing and authentic New York accent.

I like all of your choices except Liev Schreiber as Thing. Hypothetically, if casted in the role Liev could surprise me, like Heath Leager as Joker or Robert Downey Jr. as Iron Man, but I liked Michael Chiklis, so much as Thing, it's hard for me to picture anyone else in that role. Good job.

I'm not feeling this. Brolin's great but too cool and tough for Reed. That is what you intended but, to me, that's not what Reed is.

Your Johnny looks right but I have know idea who he is so I'll give you that.

Sue and Ben don't fit for me

Points for not redoing the same cast that all others always choose, though

This is pretty good.
My contention is that the actress who plays Suzie has GOT to painfully gorgeous. You can build the rest of the cast around her.
All hard-core FF fans know she's the heart-beat of the family. She's got to be the most important cast.

BROLIN...too old and too tough-guy.

POTTER...too old.

AMELL...too old.

@ager Thanks, and I appreciate your feedback. I tried to be original with my choices

@headlopper Thanks, and I agree about Sue, that's why it took me a while to cast her. The actresses that I looked at before had something that I didn't like about them (big forehead, so-so boobs, looks like a dude), so I kind of settled and chose Monica Potter (who was a Maxim model if that counts for anything).

@DDD Thanks for commenting. I gather you'd prefer a younger cast.

I understand your choices...

But I don't like this.

Too old for me.

Liev just doesn't fit for me.

And Susan should be able give fans a boner.

STORMLOGAN@, I meant no personal offense.

It's just that BROLIN is slightly older than
REED should be and he's too rugged-looking.
REED RICHARDS is more academic-looking, more
professor-like, like PATRICK WILSON or BILLY
CRUDUP.

Like you said, SUE is about 10 years younger than
REED. She's just a little bit older than JOHNNY.

MONICA POTTER is pretty and very intelligent but
she is way too old for SUE in a F4 movie. Sue needs
to be about in her late twenties and like 3D said,
"GIVE A BONER"! lol
JESSICA ALBA was the RIGHT PRETTY but the WRONG
actress, TOTALLY WRONG!

I would accept it if MONICA did play SUE but I
prefer the correct younger SUE. She's not a
horrible pick.

BEN GRIMM was already a stocky, working-class, tough guy before he became the everlovin' blue-eyed THING.
LIEV SCHREIBER is none of these. MICHAEL CHIKLIS
was perfect. I thought CHRIS EVANS was a bit too
old for JOHNNY.

I only want SUE and JOHNNY younger like they are
in the comics. F4 should be true to the comics.

@DDD Don't worry about it, none taken. 3/4 of these actors are old enough to be my parents. The thing about Sue is that I don't think the right actor for her exists, or she's really hard to find.
