A few days ago FOX/MARVEL announced the Speculated Reboot of Fantastic Four with release date of March 6, 2015 and was super excited and was having mixed feeling cause i wasn't expecting a release date so sudden and we have just 2 years and 3 months before we can see the Most Powerful Families in Comic-Book World in Big Screen again.

Here i present my views.

1)CAST
I am not suggesting any cast(its for Fan cast and they do it pretty well) but main part is acting. In FF and FF:ROTSS i like Ioan Gruffudd as Mr. Fantastic, Chris Evans as Human Torch but Jessica Alba and Michael Chiklis wasn't that great. Michael chiklis is a good actor but was waste so this makes it a bad cast.

2)SHORT OR NEGLIGIBLE ORIGIN STORY
I think the Origin Story has already been told and its not that very Interesting so i would hope they do it as Opening credits Scene as an Origin story just like in WATCHMEN(2009) and THE INCREDIBLE HULK(2008). There is an other way to tell the origin story in Dr. Doom's Perspective(the real story) not Electro-like power with biological armor skin. this way we can show what Dr. Doom is all about in the Comics coz we love a hero more when villain is Bad-ass.

3)MAKE IT GLOBAL
In Comics, Fantastic Four were busy Saving the World and in some cases Universe and New York City few times. So what i want is to see Fantastic Four Flying around the world and try to save it because they have The Rogue Gallery which can give a serious problem or Red Alert Situation in the Whole of Earth. FF:Rise of the silver Surfer tried it upto extent but somehow lacked.

4)MAKE IT A FAMILY NOT TEAM
Now Everyone knows how Great Marvel's The Avenger was. but it is a Superhero Team and Fantastic four is Superhero Family. They Should act like a family not like a team. FF don't have character build up like in avengers with Iron Man,Captain America,Hulk and others. but FF to have great characters to make a great movie.

5)CHANGE COSTUME A BIT IF NECESSARY
The Reason why Galactus was made as cosmic cloud is the reason Director thought he would not look good in purple. what i'm saying is Hawkeye purple was changed into more Plausible Maroon and Black..and In movie nowadays changes are made to look them better for example Superman in MOS(2013), Hawkeye in Avengers(2012) and Thor Without helmet in Thor(2011) and Even Captain America. Costume should be More plausible then imposed.

So Here i Conclude my Views on what i want to see in Upcoming Fantastic Four Reboot. These are my Views. Any Suggestion or Views are happily accepted.

the fantastic four are explorers, that is something that needs to be shown in the movies.

Hmm the same point i have mentioned indirectly in 'make it global' but thanks for elaborating.

"The Reason why Galactus was made as cosmic cloud is the reason Director thought he would not look good in purple."

Happy11 - 12/16/2012, 11:40 AM

I know what needs to be different..............a change in movie studios. ;-)

Hope it's not another origin story.

1. Negative Zone
2. More screen time for [frick]ing Dr. Doom
3 . Doombots
4. Latveria
5. Annihillus
And also one small tidbit a Galactus that looks like himself and not a [frick]ing storm cloud!!

@imadick
I second that notion, lol:)

Anyways, good article. I absolutely love the fantastic four, and I hope fox gets their stuff together this time. And as others have said, space travel, out-of-their-mind technology graphics, and a lot more doom and silver surfer.

AcidicHeart's Top Ten Tips for the Success of the Fantastic Four Reboot:

1. Involve adventuring. Whether it be space exploration, time travel or something else, involve adventuring!
2. Give Reed Richards something actually scientific to do.
3. Have Dr. Doom be Dr. Doom. That means already sovereign of Latveria, global threat and enemy of the Fantastic Four. He need not be the main villain, but he should have an important role.
4. Have someone who isn't acting in a state of complete catatonia for Susan Storm.
5. Focus on the effects and the action. Make it a visual marvel.
6. Hint at the larger universe. Whether it be a cameo from Galactus, involving the Negative Zone or encountering Giganto, show that the Fantastic Four will be dealing with various threats in the future.
7. Please use CGI for Ben Grimm. Please.
8. Do not retell the origin story. You can mention it or perhaps involve a flashback sequence, but start in medias res. We want to see the Fantastic Four develop, not start out.
9. Focus on the family drama that has defined the Fantastic Four since their inception. What makes them different is that they have to live with each other at all times, and they are a group out of necessity, not of choice.
10. Have it be made by Marvel Studios :D

@marvel72 - totally, i think that saying they should be explorers or adventurers says it better than that they should be global. there's an implication of a certain kind of pulp magazine-ish, old school serial cliffhanger kind of fun that comes with that. like the FF totally make sense crash landing in the Savage Land, fighting dinosaurs and ending up thwarting Moleman's subterranean base of operations to take over the world.

@Rohit9876 - i don't think the reason they made Galactus a cloud was because they couldn't stand the thought of him in purple. i think it was more a problem with a 50' man walking around in any color armor being realized as a credible threat to the future of the Earth. i mean, changing his armor closer to black wasn't gonna solve that problem. i agree that the cloud thing was a stupid way to try to solve it, but i can't see what it has to do with purple or how you would envision him appearing in a new FF movie. i don't have any great ideas either about how to hide the ridiculous aspect of him in live action. i kinda think just making him a 50' man walking around in armor would probably be the best thing to do. and might as well make him purple if you are gonna go that far, you know what i mean?

i liked the relationship between Ben and Johnny in the last movie, i thought that was one of the more decent things about it. i have the feeling that we'll get the shaft on a good Thing once again because of the budget. i mean, Ben's a big part of the team, and he's always the Thing. he's gotta be in a lot of scenes, so it's different than how Whedon was able to kind of save the Hulk for when it mattered. Thing would probably have double the screen time of Hulk at least. I don't have a problem with how he looked in the last two tho. but I know a lot of people have different standards to meet in order to buy into a movie's universe.

Doom's another tough one because everyone always wants to cast a good actor for him. but most actor's are gonna have a bitch fit if you can't see all the dumb little things they do with their stupid faces that they think is so important to acting. that's why Spidey always loses his mask and we got that weird ass Lizard for TASM and not enough Red Skull in Cap. they wanted to appease the actors and their 'acting'. thing with Doom is cast an unknown for the body and cast someone else for the voice. it worked for Darth Vader and they should look at Doom the same way. Doom is always in armor. even if they do a flashback, his back should be turned to the camera.

but, i agree, please skip the origin, the only thing we gotta know is that Reed carries a sense of guilt for dragging them all into this with him, especially Ben. but FF has to dive right into action, they can't waste half of it messing around this time.

i'd love to see the first one be Moleman, kind of use the Ultimate version in that he'd be an old colleague of Sue and Johnny's dad who maybe met Sue for the first time when she was eleven or something. it'd be some kind of dumb company party at their mansion and Moleman would be socially awkward and kinda panicking. maybe he'd meet Sue who was able to treat him like a person and it meant a lot to them. shortly after that, he's run out of the project because of his bizarre experiments and paranoid attitude towards other scientists. he disappears from the scientific community soon after this.

so the movie would kick off right in the middle of a big FF adventure in Savage Land or some other dimension. crazy adventure stuff, but they make it out somehow and get back to Baxter Building where their whole situation right now is made clear, pretty much, through different types of exposition.

then Moleman attacks and kidnaps Sue. it turns out he's been obsessed with her ever since that party and wants to make her his queen. the other 3 have to descend down to his realm to get her back.

most of that's from the Ultimate version, but that'd be the perfect kick off i think for this reboot.

As far as I am aware, they depicted Galactus as a "cloud" because the director wanted to keep him mysterious so they cold build up to a big reveal in the 3rd film.
6of13 - 12/18/2012, 5:57 AM
*could not "cold"
