The movie starts off with Ra's al Ghul, who rises out of his Lazeras Pits. After he arises, Sinestro (as a yellow lantern) approaches him with a propisition for extreme power, to which Ra's agrees.
After foreseeing the outcome if they succeed, J'onn J'onzz decides to bring on a team to fight Sinestro, Ra's, the yellow lanterns, and the league of assassins. He brings together Superman, Batman, Hal Jordan, Guy Gardener, Barry Allen, Wonder-Woman, Hawk Girl, and Plastic Man to fight.
Meanwhile, Sinestro reveals his plan is to invade Oa with his an army led by Ra's, composed of both yellow lanterns and the league of assassins, to capture the black element. In return for his services, Ras is promised Earth to control.
The team brought up to stop the villains has its quarrels, such as with Batman and Guy Gardener, and about Superman's leadership qualities. After a first attack on the army, the league suffers a devestating loss, however they do manage to scare Sinestro. Sinestro, to secure victory, recruits Doomsday to fight Superman, whom Sinestro sees as a threat.
After seeing their weaknesses in the first fight, the members of the Justice League accept Superman's leadership, and head to Oa to fight.
Before the battle, Hal Jordan convinces the guardians to bring all the green lanterns together to fight. Ra's, wielding a sword forged from the yellow element, leads the army to attack. Hal Jordan decides to take on Sinestro, Superman and Wonder-Woman fight Doomsday, Batman and Guy Gardener go against Ra's, while the rest fight with the green lanterns.
After a long battle, Hal Jordan convinces Sinestro to give up his hiest. Guy Gardener kills Ra's, who can't retrieve water from the lazeras pits, and Superman and Doomsday are still fighting. After seeing Wonder Woman about to be killed by Doomsday, Superman gets mad and starts going all out. In a fight that mirrors that of the one in Death of Superman, both Superman and Doomsday kill each other at the same time.
The league is saddened by Superman's death, and the Guardians dedicate a monument to him due to his bravery, which represents what the Green Lanterns stand for. Sinestro, and his army, are arrested and sent to the prision planet for the rest of their lives. Martian Manhunter then nararates the end, and how the Justice League will remain allies and will come together again if needed.

@jokerfanhahaha, ryan reynolds and mark strong did a decent job potraying their characters, and henry cavill looks good as superman, so why change them up? And btw, doomsday, not darkseid
nerdman81 - 12/25/2012, 9:03 PM
Awful, just...awful. Jim Carey as Guy Gardener? Emma Watson as Hawkgirl? Not a single reason as to WHY you cast any of these actors/actresses in their respective parts. Possibly could have been convinced if you had explanations for them, but that ship has sailed.
giannhs - 12/25/2012, 10:24 PM
@JokerFanHAhaHA Actually fan-cast is to cast the people you personally believe.

Now, if it happens to be the same with those from the movie that means the studio made great casting choices, and people would like to see them as these characters again.

And, it's not necessary to click in every fan cast that has some actors who have already got the job to tell how unoriginal is because these are the actors the fan-casters want to see as these characters.

@dannramm113 From your cast I like your Superman and Sinestro picks, your pick for Wonder Woman is good, but I don't think that would have chemistry with Cav-El.

giannhs - 12/25/2012, 10:47 PM
@JokerFanHAhaHA May they not want to choose anyone else because they think there is no one better and see the same thing with the studio which gave the role to that person.

And, unoriginal? This section is called fan-fic which means whoever clicks on these articles will see fans' favorites. And, yes more than half didn't know who Henry Cavill is, but they do now, and they see that he can bring their favorite character to life.

I just wish people would stop putting the actors that are already cast in the movies on their fancasts, and just work around them. Put in different characters that you cast for yourself, and go from there. For example: "Because Hanry Cavill is already cast as Superman in the new movie, I have chosen to cast other characters for that universe. My pick for Metallo is..." See how easy that is? You're connecting it to the universe for which your actor is already cast, and expanding on it! That takes care of the unoriginality problem. You can't call it YOUR fancast when so many of the characters have already been picked. Sorry, but I agree 100% with JokerFan here. I've noticed we seem to be the only ones who dislike, and don't defend unoriginal slop.

@JokerFanHAhaHA A movie doesn't need to come out to see that a character will be good or not. I was sure Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone, Rhys Ifans and the rest of the cast that would be great from the trailers and I was not disappointed. Anne Hathaway also looked that she'd steal the show from the trailers and she did.

I see in Henry Cavill the same I saw from the actors who I've just mentioned. He will be the Superman of this generation(at least for the majority) as Christopher Reeve was for the generations of 80s and 90s.

Henry Cavill is going to be great. I saw Immortals and he has a strong presence. Casting Arrow cast members in other DC roles is piss poor and very unoriginal. Ryan Reynolds sucked as Green Lantern. Mark Strong was great as Sinestro. Emma Watson is too young and petite for Hawkgirl. Josh Duhamel too old for Barry. I once wanted to see him as Hal, but dropped it for that reason, otherwise would be perfect for that role. Jim Carrey is way too old and off-the-wall for Guy. If he couldn't pull off Riddler...., well, think about it. Jason Issacs would be great as Ras. Manhunter with a Brit accent, can't see it. Sly as anyone in the DCU, why in the world. Could see WW pick.

Holy crap. Oh, well:

1) It's Guy Gardner, not Gardener. It pisses me off so much how people can't spell such a simple name properly, mistaking it as another word that creates a ridiculous effect to the name of the character as a whole. Also, it's Lazarus. I don't know what the hell Lazeras is and how could you come up with that...unless you've never heard of the name Lazarus in your life before.

2) I've seen people trying to connect the universe of Arrow to the bigger DC Cinematic Universe, and I clearly despised that. And now, the main stars of the show are cast again in different roles? Very creative, indeed.

3) Can you please include an explanation for each of your picks, especially with the fact that not many people can't see the likes of Emma Watson as Hawkgirl, Sylvester Stallone as Doomsday, et cetera? And I assume you'd like for Guy Gardner Gardener to just suddenly show up in the movie without any proper explanation, yes? Not to mention Jim Carrey in the role...oh wait, he's going to be Guy Gardener, not Guy Gardner! Carry on, then.

4) So you have Ryan Reynolds back as Hal Jordan, which means that this will be set in the same continuity as the Green Lantern movie, in which Sinestro clearly displayed his despising of humans. And now he recruits a whole army of humans, which by logic will not grant him any form of advantage for his intergalactic quest, especially when he has already had the Sinestro Corps as well as the freaking Doomsday under his command. Even if he needs aid in a great scale, why didn't he just visit another planet filled with tyrannical, technologically-advanced aliens, instead of a planet inhabited by the weaklings he despises?

Seriously, I have no idea why the hell the Justice League movie always gets the most messed up Fan Fic treatments on this site.

giannhs: That's one weak argument there, man. I was sure Nicholas Cage would be better in Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance than he was in the first movie judging from the trailers, yet he painfully overdid his performance. You may be able to personally generate a certain degree of faith about an actor's performance from movie trailers, but you can't call the actor "nailing the role" after seeing the trailers just yet. I've always wanted Henry Cavill for Superman since a long time myself and his appearance in the trailers doesn't seem to disappoint, but while I have faith in him, he may just fail or not as perfect as people deem him to be in portraying the role.

That being said, I approve of the idea nerdman81 proposed above. I've got a Justice League Fan Fic coming soon, and yes, I do want it to be set in the same universe as Man of Steel and Green Lantern (although since the latter is caught in a big uncertainty, I'll also provide my personal alternatives in case of the movie being rebooted), but I will not refer to Henry Cavill or Angela Bassett as my "personal picks." They come from pre-existing outings, and we're surely allowed to expand the universe in our own manner, but never include them as a part of your "original ideas."
MrNiklander - 12/26/2012, 3:45 AM
Okay I didn't except Emma Watson for Hawk Girl man she would made a nice Bat Girl
RedHood13 - 12/26/2012, 5:16 AM
the story sucks an incredible amount of balls amd so does the fan cast.
Jolt17 - 12/26/2012, 6:28 AM
If I may add, as far as I know, Ra's al Ghul seeks to balance the world, not just to conquer it, giving the character a complexity of its own. It MAY stretch to his desire to ruling the world, but putting him in such a role in which he willingly cooperates with a stranger that promises him a place as the world's ruler (not to mention his sentiments that may arise from that) seems like a very bland take on the character.
Jolt17 - 12/26/2012, 6:30 AM
"...that not many people can't see the likes of Emma Watson..."

That should be can, not can't. Sorry.
6of13 - 12/26/2012, 6:42 AM
@Jolt17
Don't you mean "Carrey on, then."

@dannramm113
Sorry dude, but no to Jim Carrey as Guy Gardner. I like Bradley Cooper for the role.

You have some ideas that are worthy but need to flayed out so that there is more perspective. In Green Lantern we don't get to see Sinestro's real feelings towards the Guardians, so this attack on Oa is essentially random and unprovoked. What exactly does Sinestro hope to achieve? What are his motivations and why is he invading Oa? If he succeeds in invading Oa and getting rid of the Guardians, what does he do next i.e what is his ultimate objective?.

Also, might it be less cumbersome for Sinestro to recruit an army of manhunters rather than relying on Ra's Al Ghul?
6of13 - 12/26/2012, 6:45 AM
"...need to be flayed out..."

What's kinda funny is that on fan cast where the lay out is a bit lazy, with no info for the actors, no pictures of the characters themselves, etc. ppl will whine and complain about it being unoriginal and how this site is so unorginal. But if someone took the same cast but made it prettier with well though out explanations, ppl will generly like it.
Personally, not a huge fan of all the actors you picked I liked some of them though. My biggest problems are Stephen Amell and Emma Watson. Yes, Stephen has become a better actor since Arrow started, but he still has a long way to go before I'D personally cast him as a major character, but maybe he'll get better. Emma on the other hand is a very talented actress, but she doesnt strike me as the warrior type. I think you should consider putting more info and maybe pictures of the characters AND the actors.
Jolt17 - 12/26/2012, 10:03 PM
SAT: That's not exactly how it works; even if this article had a decent layout, with that kind of contents, people would still point out how...well, lame it is! The content will still be the primary thing, while the layout actually serves more to keep the readers engaged. Nonetheless, I think it's a simple coincidence where people who actually bother to construct the layout of their Fan Fic article well are also the ones who put actual effort to their work, and vice versa! :)
