RunDTC Presents: Daredevil: The Man Without Fear! (Fan Fic)

RunDTC Presents: Daredevil: The Man Without Fear! (Fan Fic)

I can't think of anything to say, so let's get started!

My choice for director: David Fincher (Fight Club, Se7en, The Social Network)

Fincher is a fantastic director and his style seems well-suited to give us a proper Daredevil film.

Guy Pearce (Memento, L.A. Confidential, Prometheus): A lot of people want Michael C. Hall for the role (I'm not one of those people) but I had to go with one of my favorite actors, Guy Pearce. He reportedly was up for the role during pre-production of the previous Daredevil film but wasn't interested in wearing a red leather outfit for the role. Hopefully he's changed his stance (or gone broke and needs the money).

Evangeline Lilly (Real Steel, The Hurt Locker, The Hobbit): I actually had a hard time casting Elektra. I'm not a fan of the most popular choice (Olga Kurylenko) but also, that's not very creative if I just went with all the popular picks....ignore this when we get to Foggy Nelson and Stick. Lilly's a pretty decent actress and while I'm pretty sure she hasn't really done any Elektra like action, I'm sure with a little training she'd be great. Did anyone expect Scarlett Johansson to do all the action she did in Iron Man 2 and The Avengers so well? I doubt it. And yes, both Pearce and Lilly were in The Hurt Locker (great movie, btw) but never in the same scenes....heck, they were barely in it. So that's not a problem.

David Morse (The Rock, The Green Mile, The Hurt Locker):.....I honestly did not realize until I started typing this up that my first three choices were all in The Hurt Locker . I promise that was an accident. Anyway, when trying to cast Kingpin, I was trying to think of somebody physically intimidating. Morse is 6'4, and no stranger to playing villainous roles. Morse may not have the mass of the Kingpin (who does though?) but he has the expierence and physical presence to play a very convincing Kingpin.

Cillian Murphy (Batman Begins, Inception, Red Eye): Murphy was excellent as Scarecrow in Batman Begins and also gave a very creepy performance in Red Eye. Murphy would be fantastic as Daredevil's psychotic nemesis, undoubtebly a likely scene-stealer.

Foggy Nelson

Sean Astin (The Lord of the Rings trilogy, Rudy, 24):.....Astin is the spitting image of Nelson and his persona seems ideal for the role. Let's move on.

Ben Urich

Bryan Cranston (Breaking Bad, Drive, Malcolm in the Middle): Cranston is quickly becoming a household name and is really establishing himself as a dynamic actor. Cranston would absolutely kill it as reporter Ben Urich.

Karen Page

Elizabeth Banks (The Hunger Games, The Next Three Days, Seabiscuit): Banks is more known for her work in comedies but she has had some pretty good performances in more serious films as well.

Scott Glenn (The Silence of the Lambs, Apocalypse Now, Training Day): Don't you love how original this pick is?

Jack Murdock

Michael Madsen (Reservoir Dogs, Species, Sin City): It's been awhile since Madsen's been in a big movie. This would be a great one to help revive his career.

Mary Murdock

Joan Allen (The Bourne Ultimatum, Face/Off, The Contender): Allen, a three-time Oscar nominee, bears a strong resemblence to Mary Murdock (and E.T.) and would do well as Matt's nun mother.

This is a great fan cast, really really great but some of your picks I didn't agree with

Guy Pearce as Matt Murdock/Daredevil, yes I would go with him if he were younger but the thing that works against him here is his age, I would go younger and the perfect person for the job of Matt Murdock/Daredevil would be either Garrett Hedlund or Chris Pine, I would go with Chris Pine

Evangeline Lilly is actually perfect for the role of Elektra Natchios, so I wouldn't change this pick at all

David Morse as Kingpin, not that I think he is a bad pick, because he is not a bad pick, just not who I envisioned for the role of Wilson Fisk/Kingpin, my pick for the role would be Vincent D'Onofrio

For the role of Bullseye, I would go with Zachary Quinto

Foggy Nelson I would go with Sean Astin as well, he is perfect

Ben Urich Bryan Cranston is perfect

For the role of Karen Page, I would go with Amy Smart

And for the role of Jack Murdock, Battlin' Jack I would go with Jeffrey Dean Morgan playing Matt's father in flashback scenes

And for the role of Stick, definitely Scott Glenn gets my vote, my 2nd choice would be Christopher Lambert

And Mother Murdock Joan Allen gets my vote

Sweet cast, and very original Kingpin. I did a Daredevil some time ago. You can check it out here.

Anyway, I hope to see your MCU cast soon (and for the love of God, please tell me you've changed your Henry Pym pick).

I hope to have it up in the next 2-3 days. I'll probably have around 100 new picks. and yes, I decided to go with Adrien Brody.....but I still wouldn't be opposed to Cruise. :P

@RunDTC Sweet. I'm planning on doing a Guardians of the Galaxy cast, and I'm using the line up from Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes. And this is the line up from the cartoon:

(Fun Fact: The guy voices Master Chief in the Halo games voice Starlord).

I hope to see some Guardian members in your MCU cast (Jim Caviezel for Starlord FTW!).
RunDTC - 5/28/2012, 10:47 AM
@MrBlueSky:.......whoa. that is exactly what I'm working on now. at this exact moment. creepy. I don't have Starlord yet....well now I do. :D

The good:

- David Fincher as the director is flawless.
- All of the supporting characters are virtualy perfect.

The bad:

- Guy Pierce is far better suited for Bullseye. Speaking of...
- TYPECASTING ALERT!!!! People, Cillian Murphy's said before he's not playing anymore villains. Quoted from an interview from 2005: "I've done two villains in maybe ten films and that's it for me. I've done my quota and I don't want to repeat myself." He's a magnificent actor who really deserves way better than to be pigeonholed. (As for his role in Tron Legacy, jury's still out on whether Dillinger Jr's even going to be a villain or not.)
- Evangeline is overused these days, and honestly she doesn't ring Elektra to me. Stana Katic is my choice.
MrBlueSky - 5/28/2012, 12:53 PM
@MistressKizuna I missed you and your casts. Can you comment on my Fantastic Four cast?
MrCameron - 5/28/2012, 1:38 PM
Daredevil: Hate to break it to ya, bur Guy Pearce is too old for Daredevil. I feel like he should be played by someone younger around your Foggy pick's age (they went to law school together).

Elektra: Evangeline Lily is too American.

Kingpin: HOLY GUACAMOLE BATMAN!! Talk about original!

Bullseye: Perfect, even if he wouldn't do it as Mistress Kizuna said.

The rest are great.

This whole casting is quite nice, RUN@!

Like others have said, GUY PIERCE is just
too old! He's an amazing actor but just too
dang old for MATT MURDOCK, unfortunately!

PERFECT BULLSEYE! If CILLIAN isn't playing anymore
villains that is just terrible news! He's so
damn good at it!

EVANGELINE LILY has the same problem for
playing ELEKTRA that GARNER had, not GREEK
enough. But LILY is not AMERICAN like

wore a fat-suit he would be scary as WILSON

VERY NICE, as I said, RUN@!
