EDITORIAL: Marvel Phase II Directors

With Marvel Phase I complete, I've been thinking about the helmers of the next potential films. Iron Man 3 & Thor 2 are set, Cap 2 is zeroing in on their man. So how about some of the other films we'd like to see? I listed a few along with ideas for who could direct:

Ant-Man: Edgar Wright, Duncan Jones * quirky directors with interesting eyes and good story telling *
Luke Cage/Iron Fist: Tarantino * either together or in separate films leading to a team-up. Pay him $15M to do it *
Black Panther: Gary Ross, Drew Goddard
Guardians Of The Galaxy/Nova: Brad Bird or (give me another chance) Andrew Stanton
Doctor Strange -- only 2 people on this list: Alfonso Cuaron or Darren Aronofsky
Werewolf by Night: David Fincher or T. Sean Durkin * directed Martha Marcy May Marlene; interesting, creepy character study *
Punisher: Soderberg * focus on character & kick-assery *
Daredevil: David O. Russell, Josh Trank
Fantastic Four: Brad Bird, or convince Spielberg that it's the family film of all family films

I wouldn't mind any of these choices. They're all great choices. Tarantino, Spielberg, Bird, a failed Stanton-- aren't realistic however. Marvel seems to pick EXPERIENCED directors for a character's first film (Favreau, Branagh, Johnson) before hiring a fresh face to helm the following sequels (Black's second time as director, Taylor, current list for Cap2 are TV directors).

Hate to burst your bubble, bud. But, FF and Daredevil are not part of Phase II, nor part of the MCU.

An editor changed his title to include "Phase Two". I believe his original intention was for all Marvel films. Anyways... It's FanFic. FanFic.
