I voted for Nixon.

I see potential...

Other than Liv, whose thankfully gone now, and a somewhat distracting harpsichord score, I pretty much really liked everything, especially by network TV standards.

And I actually think having Liz as a one-off character works. Constantine's always stumbling through people's lives and dealing with their problems. Liz is just one example.

Glad we're getting Zed though. The drawings of the classic covers was appreciated too, and felt most appropriate for the first episode. I wonder what else they'll adapt from Original Sins? The one-off stories seem perfect for the first handful of episodes.

Hated it. It felt like I was shoved into the middle of a story arc of a show that had already been through several seasons. I had no idea what was going on. I felt like whoever wrote this, assumed we would know what was happening and that we didn't need character development or an actual story. Only thing I liked..... Matt Ryan as Constantine, and even that couldn't save it from me rating it with one star.

James99201 - 10/25/2014, 9:54 AM
Alittle corny at times and still little confused about a few things but I'm hooked
ibravosp5 - 10/25/2014, 9:55 AM
I think it was worthy of a 3.8 out of 5..it's fun
Zuriel - 10/25/2014, 10:04 AM
I like how at least one of the drawings actually showed Constantine smoking but he can't on the show.
Arrowhead77 - 10/25/2014, 10:10 AM
@blackpantherfan I thought he said the f word too.
TheIncredibleHulksta - 10/25/2014, 10:15 AM
I didn't watch the leaked pilot, for shows I hate that because instead of waiting a week you have to wait months. I had confidence the show was good, but I was thoroughly impressed. For a TV show episode it had great effects, great pacing, and excellent characterization. 5/5
Marxman12 - 10/25/2014, 10:52 AM
@McGee Me too! History has been unfair to that guy.
Marxman12 - 10/25/2014, 10:53 AM
@blackpantherfan I thought I heard it.
sicknimon - 10/25/2014, 10:56 AM
This show was fantastic. Can't wait to see the rest of the season. VERTIGO!!!
gurugeorge - 10/25/2014, 10:57 AM
Pretty mediocre. Constantine's ok (apart from not smoking - grrrr). It had some nice set pieces, visual shocks and fx and stuff, but the script was a jumble of events with no sense of time, place or development, and apart from Constantine and the angle, none of the characters were at all memorable or well written. Very disappointing, as I was hoping this would be the capstone to this wonderful comics/superhero tv season.

I think they tried to cram too much backstory-explanation into it, instead of letting it breathe and letting it be a bit mysterious, but giving it a solid sense of place and time.
TheBrownHornet - 10/25/2014, 11:06 AM
Three stars. It was good, then it had me worried, then good again. Looks like I've found another show to watch!
KindredMac - 10/25/2014, 11:08 AM
Not bad, I just wish that this Constantine had the same power as the movie version to be able to see spirits.
KindredMac - 10/25/2014, 11:08 AM
4 stars
jj72 - 10/25/2014, 11:25 AM
Loved the movie but this was just ok. Isn't Constantine able to see the demons??? Not a fan that they threw in the kid....unnecessary IMO. Will continue to watch and hope it improves.
HeadPool420 - 10/25/2014, 11:27 AM
It was fun. Not the best, not the worst. Just a lot of fun for me.
ShelfPorn - 10/25/2014, 11:35 AM
Ehhh 0-:-/ The old comics were better
mrHJK - 10/25/2014, 12:11 PM
The main actor playing Constantine was pretty cool and there were some cool visuals, but so far it's just okay 3/5

So now that all the comic book shows have started for the season, so far I'd rank them:

The Flash - Season 1
Agents of SHIELD - Season 2
Arrow - Season 3
Constantine - Season 1
Gotham - Season 1

The Flash has been going all out with very little of the annoying CW-isms that plagued early Arrow. This is what a super hero show should be like.

Everyone knows Agents of SHIELD started off slow, with early episodes being very hit and miss. The story picked up once Captain America: The Winter Soldier helped take the show in the direction the writers were likely waiting for all season.
However, Season 2 has been so much better than almost everything in Season 1 so far with a good pace with interesting twists and turns. Actual Marvel characters like Absorbing Man and Mockingbird are also welcome.

I tried watching Arrow when it started, but gave up after four or five episodes. During Season 2, I heard so many good things though and was very excited for Flash. I pushed through early Season 1 and by the end thought it was overall pretty good. Season 2, however, was fantastic and made Arrow my number one favorite live action comic book show. Season 3 though is just taking too much time to move forward, not to mention the horrible way {spoilers}'s death was handled.

Gotham is loosing me, and I would have quit already if not for Robin Lord Taylor as Cobblepot.
