Amazing Avengers Fan Poster

Many of us were disappointed in the posters for The Avengers. Here's a design that I believe would have been more satisfying.

Today I came across this poster on Deviantart and felt that it deserved to be shared. Obviously, as a fanart painting, it lacks the logo and the quality of the image is not quite up to the standard of something that a studio would use for an official poster. However, I believe the composition of the picture is superior to that of the official Avengers poster. If this design was put brought to life by professionals, it could have been something pretty special. This poster was painted by madadman on Deviantart.

What do you think? Is this a better design, or do you prefer Marvel's official poster?

Personally I find the disproportionate size of Captain America and the Hulk in comparison to the rest of the team hard to forgive, but that's just me. Leave a comment and tell me which of the posters you believe is better.

Both are good. Prefer the official one TBH.

That's cool. Thanks for checking it out.

The Hulk's arm is blocking Loki's left eye, but it's good nonetheless.

Crappy colors and the proportions are more skewed than in the real poster.

I prefer yours actually. I've always thought the original just looked like they were doing their best bad album cover impression on a basic background. Good work!

@soundwave, Like I said, I admired the composition of this one in terms of the positioning of the characters. As for the proportions being more skewed, this one clearly makes no attempt to seem as if the characters are in a scene together. It's like the Iron Man movie poster in the sense that it just represents major characters from the movie.

Meanwhile the official poster places all of these characters in the battle damaged New York, an actual physical place. That's why the proportions don't work in the picture. It comes off as a poorly done depiction of the team in the thick of the action.

@Kakarot, Thanks, but I didn't create this. I'm just sharing the work because I thought it was good. You can find his page by clicking on the picture.

but...iron man is not all front and center. screaming for/trying to steal all the attention :p

i could see where they cut the movie from being iron man and friends, and the official posters made the movie seem like it was going to be iron man and friends.
