@Pux...It's funny you said what you did about Doomsday! I loved the books, but hated the movie! The artwork was shitty, and the story was nearly a total departure from the book! As for All-Star, I hated the comic because the story was retarded, and I despise Frank Quitely's artwork (reminds me of Dr Katz, or Beavis and Butthead with all the squiggly ass lines), but I enjoyed the movie! I'm hoping it's more like Public Enemies!! I'm not digging the artwork on this toon, but I'll see it anyway and hope for the best!! Expectations are very low this time around though.

Some of us like and STILL respect the suit that make Superman a world wide phenom, so if you don't like it, too damn bad because it is THE superhero costume.

And while for me the classic suit is always the true look of Superman, I think it's just fair for this movie to still use that look since the story arc it's adapted from also uses the classic suit! (Should also be applied to any other movies that are adapted from past story arcs.)

I think Bruce timm and company are the ones who's still not used to superman's new costume. Nice art work and reminds mr of superman birthright

This movie had better be worth it because the comic it is based on was very good.

Yes the new 52 costume should always be used...as a trashcan liner. People...you don't mess with icons! Batman uses technology to stay physically in league with the League. It makes sense that his costume is always changing AND its not just Superman's costume they have updated. They destroyed the characters life and removed the boyscout image using the excuse of modernizing.

Yes...the artwork on this cover looks a bit...grainy? But their is no question that this is Superman!

Add another crappy animated film to the list...........I can't believe they cancelled the Teen Titans Judas Contract for this Pile of putrid crap, Someone needs to go smack the piss out of Bruce Timm and tell him to stop making pieces of crap and get back to work on The Dark Knight returns movie

I didn't read the comic so I don't know what to expect.

Going by the synopsis and look of it, it well be interesting, no doubt.

@JDUKE I'm waiting for that to happen too. It will be kind of bittersweet, because it truly be the end of the "underwear era."

This is based on one of my favorite Superman stories from the past 20 years, but I doubt that it will amount to much. After the atrocious Justice League Doom (also based on a fave story of mine) I'm starting to lose faith in these animated flicks.
Give us something different.. 100 Bullets, Preacher, whatever.

@Just1Superguy No, I am not disgracing myself by reading any 52 rag. No, I'm not talking out my ass. In this new 52, superman calls someone a retard and then says he is "Goddamn" Superman. Unless boyscout qualities have change, he's not a boyscout! These are things Guy Gardner would say!

Yeah bud I'm unfortantly going to have to side with SuperguyDouche and say that the examples your providing is from the All Star Batman series...which wasn't a highlight to read.

Now you may be trying to follow up with INAction Comics 1 when there was that hub bub about a word balloon that had SuperDouche saying "GD" and some thought he meant to say GOD D@@M but it was followed up by sources to say he was just making a sound due to the explosion he suffered.

Now as for Him being "Tougher" and a "Fighter" let's be honest, all we've seen is this character floating about more often than not with his eyes smouldering...again because it's 90's cool.

I've said plenty about my distaste of InAction Comics..so I won't even try...and SUPERMAN series has been a disappointment mostly due to a story that just didn't grab ahold of people, "too wordy" and not enough of douchey punching things..but mainly the story wasn't going anywhere...now that Jurgens and co will be picking it up in 7, we'll see how it changes.. The only thing even CLOSELY resembling our old Superman is when he's talking to Kara in Supergirl...and that dialogue isn't great..but at least he's talking...unlike in Justice League where he's so distinguishing for any other muscle bound hero..it's pathetic...but that whole comic is bordering on the annoying.

There are some real highlights to the new 52 though! Animal Man is amazing, Batman (also written by Snyder) is great! Everyone is liking Aquaman...mostly because he's not as much of a joke in it, Batgirl and Batwoman are good reads as well. If you still want that team action, then I suggest Justice League International..it's a more diverse group of heroes than in Justice League...and better written than JL.

Don't loose heart Jimdlux....there's some elements in the new 52, and hopefully Superman will find his way back to something like we're used to.
