The film, which adapts Aronofsky's graphic novel based on the classic Bible story of Noah's ark, will undergo production this week in Iceland.
Durand (who is 6'6) will be playing a giant who helps Noah (Russell Crowe) and his family. Durand joins previously announced cast members Jennifer Connelly, Emma Watson, Ray Winstone, Logan Lerman, Douglas Booth and Sir Anthony Hopkins (among others). Paramount Pictures and New Regency are distributing the movie.
