According to Deadline, Marvel Studios president and producer Kevin Feige has been named as "Motion Picture Showman Of The Year" by the Publicists of the International Cinematographers Guild. Feige, who most recently produced Marvel's The Avengers (the biggest movie of 2012), will be honored at the 50th Annual Awards Luncheon on February 22nd. "Kevin Feige’s understanding and appreciation of publicity and promotion in the role of a movie’s success has led to a string of blockbuster feature films adapted from the pages of Marvel comic books during the past ten years," says awards committee chairman Henri Bollinger. Since joining Marvel in 2000, Feige has overseen all of the creative aspects of the company's film productions. He became President of Marvel Studios in 2007. The studio's upcoming films include Iron Man 3 (May 3rd, 2013), Thor: The Dark World (November 8th, 2013), Captain America: The Winter Soldier (April 4th, 2014), Guardians Of The Galaxy (August 1st, 2014), the currently untitled sequel to The Avengers (May 1st, 2015) and Ant-Man (November 6th, 2015).
