After much waiting, we finally saw the full theatrical trailer for director Zack Snyder's Superman reboot Man Of Steel, giving us a proper look at what we can expect from the highly anticipated film. This trailer spends most of its time digging into the plot of Clark Kent trying to find his place in the world, and it also features some very atmospheric shots of Superman taking off into the skies. It also reveals our first official looks at characters such as Lois Lane (Amy Adams) and General Zod (Michael Shannon). Since its online debut yesterday, the majority of fans have been voicing their approval of the new trailer, which will be attached to theatrical screenings of The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey starting this Friday. But what did YOU think of the new Man Of Steel trailer? Be sure to vote in the poll below, and share your complete thoughts in the comments.

Personally, I couldn't be happier with this trailer. While offering plenty of insight into the story and providing a human take on the legendary character, it also allows plenty of time for exciting scenes. The shot of Superman flying in space was particularly breathtaking. Putting it next to his prior films, Man Of Steel looks like nothing that Zack Snyder has directed before. The film could very well be his crowning achievement. And Henry Cavill seems to be the best choice that they could've made to fill the title role. If what we've seen so far is any indication, Man Of Steel could very well be the best comic book movie of next year. If you have yet to see the trailer (seriously?), check it out below.

Man Of Steel stars Henry Cavill, Amy Adams, Michael Shannon, Kevin Costner, Diane Lane, Laurence Fishburne and Russell Crowe. The film is set to hit theaters June 14th, 2013.

Pretty good trailer. Not as good as IM3 though. Just my opinion.
MrBlueSky - 12/12/2012, 11:44 AM
I loved it. It gave me so many feels. I also like how they portray Superman's powers.
JordanKing - 12/12/2012, 11:46 AM
I thought it was a little slow and depressing despite the abundance of cgi involved.
RorMachine - 12/12/2012, 11:46 AM

I am a die-hard Reeve fan, and though I have mixed feelings on some of Snyder's previous work, I truly feel
we have our NEW Superman in Cavill. The trailer is fantastic, the emotion, superheroics, intensity etc. is all there...HOWEVER, Cavill may be PERFECT in most regards, but he needs to make sure he SMILES, and often (like Mr. Reeve) which is NOT something you see alot of in Snyder's characters :/ This is NOT Nalan's movie, and Big Blue is nothing if not a friendly, approachable dude lol

All in all, I for one can't wait!!
Stumblin - 12/12/2012, 11:50 AM
@SteelFighter, best 2012 trailer? Really? We're comparing trailers now? Wow.
Tony93 - 12/12/2012, 11:50 AM
Did anyone else feel like when he talks during the end of the trailer it seemed out of place? Like they were rushing it with other images..
But anyways it was flippin beautiful..
Tony93 - 12/12/2012, 11:52 AM
SLYDE I know, hopefully the next trailer it shows him smile at least, I'm sure he will
Jefferys - 12/12/2012, 11:52 AM
You didn't like it RorMachine?

While I didn't mind it, it seems to be missing that certain something. I think I know… fun.
Superheromovies2000 - 12/12/2012, 11:55 AM
Damn Marvel fans hate on everything DC! You guys had your Movie (Avengers) now let us have our Blockbuster (MOS)!! And since it's gonna be in 3D and IMAX we shall see those Avengers box office numbers Fall!!!! Then Marvel studios will be shaking their heads saying "How did one man beat our Team?" we will yell "HE IS NO MAN! HE IS SUPERMAN!"
RorMachine - 12/12/2012, 11:56 AM
No I loved it, his comment made me laugh so much he wins comment of the day!

Tony93 - 12/12/2012, 11:56 AM

I need an option between the third and the fourth...

o-AAAGGHHHH!!! IT TORE MY PSYCHE IN TWO....AM I A MAN, OR AM I A FANBOY?? I DONT KNOW!
aztecRaingod - 12/12/2012, 12:01 PM
It started off pretty slow and a bit too angst ridden. A pretty decent trailer, about what I was expecting, though I missed the "amazing" part that 53% of the pollers saw.
SoulAllFlush - 12/12/2012, 12:02 PM
Was not feeling that trailer at all. Some moments it definitely did feel like Superman though.

Will have to watch it at the cinema, it's a CBM so I just have to - but I am not optimistic.
silverdog - 12/12/2012, 12:04 PM
good trailer... like every trailer for a zach snyder movie. so it doesn't guarantee anything.
punkstealingluggage - 12/12/2012, 12:04 PM
As far as "complaints" go (and I use that term loosly) , I kinda miss the "S" on the cape more than the undies lol...since Thor's screen appearances already gave us the red cape thing.
And not to side with the haters, as much as I admire Adams' talent, Lois certainly should be a brunette :/

But if Wolverine can be 6"3", and Electro can be black...so be it lol
TruBeliever - 12/12/2012, 12:05 PM
Costner aka Pa Kent telling Clark that maybe he should of let those people "die" .. NO NO NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

There was a reason DC introduced SuperBoy during the Golden Age it was to show how he grew up and that he learned his sense of right and wrong from the Kent's. They were his moral compass and that line was hogwash.

I still plan on seeing this film, but that part of the trailer put a sour taste in my mouth.
BruceWayneNewton - 12/12/2012, 12:06 PM
It was perfect for what it is. It was only supposed to give us a taste and leave us wanting more. It definitely did that. I almost creamed my shorts when he took to the air!
Bobevanz - 12/12/2012, 12:07 PM
And I thought after the batman trilogy people would shut up about nolans works. So what if he's attached to this, i'd see it for snyder alone. This is his swan song. And btw, if you liked TDKR, you dont know batman. Most uncharacteristic portrayal ever. And thats the gospel truth, well anyways this looks great. Im mostly anticipated for this, just under iron man 3 and cap 2. Im sorry but, once again whos the best? Marvel thats who :)
Navyblue8 - 12/12/2012, 12:08 PM
YEESSSS! I LOVE IT!
Minato - 12/12/2012, 12:08 PM
New Year, New War, Same Enemies
DC vs Marvel
Why stop now.

Honestly I am anticipating those movie in that order because of personal preference. My decision has nothing to do with the fan war.

Thor looks to be the uninhibited Norse Viking that he is supposed to be vs Kurse.

IM3 has Extremis and Mandarin and Tony is going to be stripped of everything ala TDKR.

Superman is going to be fantastic with Snyder on visuals and Nolan on production. His track record on film is what hinders him IMO.
parascythe - 12/12/2012, 12:10 PM
zack will not give away too much of good stuff in a trailer...saving best for the movie it self...i'm just hoping the story will not be draggy..
TruBeliever - 12/12/2012, 12:11 PM
and MOS will not have Avenger numbers, It has nothing to do with Marvel Vs DC .. The success behind the Avengers was the build up and cross overs between movies. That has never been done before and it generated buzz for the movie. I truley believe the only reason TDKR did as well as it did was because it was the finale.

Best movie trailer of the year so far.

So emotional and spectacular at the same time, with zero spoilers on the story.

Now that how you make a fan happy.
parascythe - 12/12/2012, 12:13 PM
anybody knows how long this movie will be?
0bstreperous - 12/12/2012, 12:14 PM
Truth: superman comics suck
Truth: TAS and the creative team greatest thing to ever happen to superman
Truth: People were not able to step out out of reeves shadow because of his tragedy
Truth: Before the CW took over smallville was watchable after it was shit that eclipsed everything

Zach snyder does not come off as intelligent from what ive seen in interviews
Navyblue8 - 12/12/2012, 12:16 PM
I voted in "It's simply amazing. This movie is going to be fantastic!"
0bstreperous - 12/12/2012, 12:17 PM
last thing: when a trailer is lacking the movie is no better

great trailers have produced shit movies but sometimes we kid ourselves

this trailer did not inspire confidence for the director or that hack david goyer

im still upset over zod being used and probably will allow it to cheapen the experience for me
0bstreperous - 12/12/2012, 12:18 PM
