It was mind blowing IMO. I'm a huge fan of Marvel Studios, but I will say with this movie they may have some competition.
boyofsteel - 12/15/2012, 11:14 AM
yeah cause no trailer is good unless someone gets punched in the face says no body ever...it was amazing, can't wait to see this multiple times
webslinger2099 - 12/15/2012, 11:17 AM
this was amazing.
luffycapri - 12/15/2012, 11:18 AM
That trailer was not amazing lol, nothing in that trailer maid me say wow, like the avengers trailer did for me. I'm still going to see this movie opening day.
yingyangpalms - 12/15/2012, 11:18 AM
Weird how certain parts are like parts of Smallville. Like his first flight in the suit, the young Clark, the hidden spacecraft. And if the similarities were done on purpose Im glad because maybe jealous fan-babies who hate the show because chicks loved the star will shut up and realize it was a great show.
WellDrawn - 12/15/2012, 11:19 AM
Having a grimm Superman is sort of like having an upbeat Batman...

Then again, if Supes desereves to be grimm in any of his films, it should be in his origin story - having him come to terms with just how alone he really is...

I just hope that there's a conscious shift in tone/atmosphere by the end of the movie with Superman becoming what he should be - a beacon of light, and a symbol of positive aspirations.

PS : this site has to many Nolan fan boys on it, you slap his name to a movie , and boom here comes the suck UPS, I love all his movies, just can't stand his $%&*ING fans.
Maximus101 - 12/15/2012, 11:22 AM
@weneedrevelation just out of curiosity but are you a marvelite? Any true cbm fn would be excited to see this movie.

Man of steel will be the cbm of the year next year in my opinion.
Nomis1800 - 12/15/2012, 11:31 AM
It's simply the best!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Can't wait to see this spectacle in IMAX!!!!!!

JDUKE25 - 12/15/2012, 11:38 AM
Loved it. Love how they went back to how trailers used to be. They showed you enough to show the tone, and tease scenes that would occur in the movie. Not show the whole movie in a trailer and show most of the big scenes in the freakin trailer.

Good job WB.

Nolan´s trailer!!! Nothing more, nothibg less ...I am up for it though
calciferboheme - 12/15/2012, 11:39 AM
I don't like the change they made to Pa where he's more worried about the secret than protecting innocent people.

It looks good over all, but I'm still unsure about how it will turn out. I love Superman and am hopeful, but I'm keeping a wait and see approach.
SageMode - 12/15/2012, 11:44 AM
Wasn't not impressed but it didn't wow me either. We'll see how the second full trailer looks.
Facade - 12/15/2012, 11:46 AM
The trailer didn't impress me. Kinda old hat. Nothing too far from what was on Smallville or Superman Returns really. I have low expectations and it did nothing to change it.
rocky - 12/15/2012, 11:47 AM
Pa Kent seemed conflicted about what Clark should've done. Plus I wouldn't be surprised if the maybe he threw out there is out of context for the benefit of the trailer.

And if not I can see how he may feel that Clark being superhuman and all maybe should not decide others' fates, who knows

All I know is that I can not wait til June 14 cause this is going to be FANTASTIC
kylemf88 - 12/15/2012, 11:47 AM
@weneedrevelation Maybe people are excited to see a gorgeously shot movie that is advertising itself as an epic about a man discovering his destiny instead of a mindless tongue in cheek action comedy. And this isn't a post from a Nolan fan, Rises was a absolute joke from a film making standpoint.(And I'm not a big fan of the first two.) This is a post from someone who is sick of shit comic movies that's fan base doesn't understand the art of movie making or story telling.

asshat.
Maximus101 - 12/15/2012, 11:48 AM
@weneedrevelation I here ya, I was just curious. I'm the same about this whole war thing. Some of you guys call me a nolanite when I don't think he is a god. He does make good movies and a lot of people would agree but because TDKR is my favorite movie this year I'm automatically a nolanite lol I'm very excited for ironman 3 and man of steel, I think it will be close for cbm of the year between them two.
Maximus101 - 12/15/2012, 11:50 AM
@ sagemode not surprising you didnt like the trailer lol it's not marvel bro! Could get a 100% on rotten tomatoes and you would still think it's crap lol
GUNSMITH - 12/15/2012, 11:51 AM
I LIKE THAT THEY INSERTED COMPLEXITY..THEY PUT "REAL" IN AN UNREAL CHARACTER. THIS COULD BE A TRULY AWESOME FILM.
Funsize - 12/15/2012, 11:52 AM
Already looks a thousand times better than Superman Returns. I was afraid of this turning into a rehash movie but I have a feeling I'll be proven wrong just like with Batman Begins and Star Trek.
GodzillaKart - 12/15/2012, 11:57 AM
It looks fantastic.

We didn't in the Avengers trailer either. Doesn't mean it isn't going to happen.
HaroldOfGalactus - 12/15/2012, 12:06 PM

Minato - 12/15/2012, 12:10 PM
so only 182 people were honest?
DioFoRio - 12/15/2012, 12:12 PM
how did it get Simply fantastic? Pfft... ; )

I can't wait for this flick. Whose ships are those at the Kent house? Wonder if Brainiac is involved . I'm stoked that they decided to reboot after Returns. This looks like it may be the return to supes we deserve. Different suit or not, this at least so far looks like a SUPERman movie. All sorts of shit blowing up and going on with what seems to be a heartfelt flick. Can't wait.

Kyos - 12/15/2012, 12:14 PM
I hope this will be the first live action Superman I truly like! (sorry Chris Reeve fans)
ToTheManInTheColdSweat - 12/15/2012, 12:15 PM
This has the potential to be the greatest [frick]ing cbm and an instant [frick]ing classic like Superman: The Movie, Batman 1989 & The Dark Knight.

OR

a total [frick]ing disaster.

I choose greatest cbm ;)
aztecRaingod - 12/15/2012, 12:22 PM
The trailer was OK, certainly not "amazing"

Did they really have to rip off the matrix style takeoff? Srlsy?

Anyway, Im not a huge fan of Superman, but I sincerely hope this movie does very well.

My buddy suggested that this movies gross may determine if a JLA movie is really to be made, and I would love to see a JLA flick. A JLA and Avengers movie rivalry would be terrific for everyone.

could be a lake.
aztecRaingod - 12/15/2012, 12:28 PM
Also, that line by Pa kent about "maybe" letting the kids die on the bus is not going to go over well in light of the recent elementary school shooting. Just a bad decision by the writers.
bluedude - 12/15/2012, 12:29 PM
Dubwookwook iuuggghhk not dibatep upyou need to get some culture
@WellDrawn hes not being grim at all hes being introspective is is his origin story hes just now figuring out what he is what hes meant to do whi he is
It looks brilliant
bluedude - 12/15/2012, 12:30 PM
Aztecraingod ya who knew writers cant predict the future
aztecRaingod - 12/15/2012, 12:31 PM
10 bucks says they will omit that line by Pa kent before the movie is released. It might turn out to be a PR nightmare for them if they dont.
aztecRaingod - 12/15/2012, 12:32 PM
Indigo, it was bad decision EITHER WAY.

Im not a Superman expert, but I dont think the original Pa Kent would EVER suggest superman let a busload of kids die. So think before you type.
johan02 - 12/15/2012, 12:36 PM
I juat saw this last night before The Hobbit, in 3D. Now I'm not saying it blew my mind but it deffinitely got me excited
AOSgotAlright - 12/15/2012, 12:39 PM
I'm actually a little more confused after this trailer compared to the first. The first offered all the iconic imagery, but this I'm unsure of the one. Will it be dark, uplifting, morally challenging...? I have a bit more confidence in the Marvel movies, but this has great potential. I remain hesitant and hope for a pleasant surprise on the upside.

P.S. the Pa Kent comment did throw me off. I have kids and it would not have been my response. I probably would have said 'that's not what I'm trying to say.'
Jollem - 12/15/2012, 12:40 PM
i'm still picking up the pieces of my brain that were exploded
blackster - 12/15/2012, 12:41 PM
dumb trolls. its the first full trailer. did you honestly expect them to give away everything in it?

not everyone in the world follows every piece of news about every CBM like we do here. right now, they are just establishing to the general audience that this film will be serious business (unlike the much reviled superman returns which has soured most people on supes). and it's doing a good job of it.

i expect later trailers to deliver what you are expecting too soon.
