It was between RDJ, Hardy and Urban for me. Chose Hardy, the most memorable of the lot.

If Michael Caine had a lot more screen time, things would be a lot easier. But...well, this is going to be very, very, tough.
My candidates, in no order:
1. Tom Hardy as Bane
2. Chris Evans as Steve Rogers/Captain America
3. Tom Hiddleston as Loki
4. Karl Urban as Judge Dredd
5. Dane DeHaan as Andrew Detmer
6. Josh Brolin as Young Agent K
Now, let me think about it for a while...

Karl Urban. He was way better than any of the Avengers, Batman, or TASM characters.
Dredd was one of the best movies of this year.

Christian Bale - He did a good job as usual..still needs to calm down the spitting
Michael Caine - A bit over the top this time around for me...the last sob story scene reminded me of coming home pissed and getting over emotional when I realise im out of frozen pizza
Anne Hathaway - Again a good job for what she had to work with...her character rangd from stern...to mildly stern
Tom Hardy - Apart from remnding me of Goldmember I found him forgettable
Andrew Garfield - He wasnt too bad..but hdid annoy me a bit cus he sounded like he had a permanent cold
Emma Stone - She was very likable
Karl Urban - My favourite performance...he really channelld his inner judge
Josh Brolin - Meh
Robert Downey Jr. - Pretty much what you expect the same as Bale
Chris Evans - I liked Chris..he brings that good man persona o the character
Chris Hemsworth - Underused so pretty much hard to tell
Mark Ruffalo - He did a great job...Eric Bana always seemed like he was masterbating....Norton always seemed mumble and constipated...Ruffallo captured the spirit
Tom Hiddleston - You could tell he was loving every minute of it...but lets leave Loki alone for Phase 2
Dane DeHaan - Nohing to complain about..or rave about
:P

Alright, I'm going with Urban as Dredd. From all those performances listed above, none took me so deeply into the character like Urban did. Hell, if I never knew Karl Urban was in the role, I'd just assume that was a Judge Dredd sent from an alternate reality to star in the movie!

for me a tie between ruffalo and urban. both got a lot of shit from fanboys for taking roles previously done by other actors, but both were very good at the end.
bale and downey were good as usual but its the third time with the same character. the others were okay.

'The Amazing Spider-Man' has a LOT of problems, but Garfield's performance is not one of them. He absolutely became Peter Parker. That's my vote, even though Bane was fantastic as well.

I'm between Robert Downey Jr. and Garfield. Robert because the man is Tony Stark/Iron Man without a doubt, and Garfield because he had the challenge of tackling such a beloved character in a very premature reboot, but was able to make a memorable performance in my opinion.

the ones returning to their roles (Bale, Downey, Hemsworth, Evans...) were as good as expected.
from the new people, I have to go with Urban in the first place and Hatthaway and Ruffalo in the second.
Stone and DeHaan were okay, didnt care much from Bane even before finding out he was just a henchman, and Garfield was good as P.P. but his cracky voice and not-so funny one liners, made the character really annoying.

Christian Bale
: He's brilliant as usual, but I think it's the fact that I've seen his equally great performances in
Batman Begins
and
The Dark Knight
that prevents me from voting for him.
Anne Hathaway
: A solid performance, and she delivered a great Selina Kyle, but I'm not feeling anything
that
special from her, in the end.
Tom Hardy
: Perhaps my close 2nd pick. A pretty damn unique performance that departs from the actor's typical roles, and he adds into it by delivering the many powerful moments of the movie which I still like to revisit until now.
Andrew Garfield
: He's great as both Peter Parker and Spider-Man, but again, I don't feel that he's so special. I can't wait to see more of his Spidey, though.
Emma Stone
: Very pleasing, indeed...um, her acting. But yeah, I didn't find anything to be so impressed about from her performance.
Judge Dredd
Karl Urban
: Well, he
is
Judge Dredd.
Josh Brolin
: An impressive performance, especially in mimicking Tommy Lee Jones, but failed to quite match up to the likes of Karl Urban's Dredd, IMO.
Robert Downey, Jr.
: Much like Bale, I think it's because I've seen him starring in two solo movies prior that he didn't impress me as much. A solid performance nonetheless, but the poor make-up which made him look like Black Widow's father degrades it a bit for me.
Chris Evans
: Captain America is my favorite character, so it's not a surprise that I nearly voted for him! Regardless of that, Evans' performance was brilliant (especially in some of thosee deleted scenes), but Urban's Dredd still wins.
Chris Hemsworth
: A great Thor, but he displayed nothing special in
The Avengers
. Well, his battle against the Hulk was epic, though.
Mark Ruffalo
: He's the
best
Banner by far, and that's saying quite a lot because I really liked Norton in the role, but he still can't beat Urban, to me.
Tom Hiddleston
: Such a stellar and smooth performance. But, still...
Dane DeHaan
: The breakout star that surprised me a LOT. He was terrific as Andrew, which is one of the reasons of why
Chronicle
is my favorite movies of 2012, and I'm eager to see more from this guy.
But, seriously. Where the hell is Nicholas Cage as Johnny Blaze?

Mark Ruffalo, I actually cared for his Banner more then Norton's and it didn't seem like he had to try to hard to play him either, he's chemistry with RDJ was also faultless that I wanted to see more of it and he did a great job with Hulk.

Bane because Tom Hardy made Bane cool and menacing again. Way better then the piece of crap bigfoot wearing a wrestling mask we got in Batman and Robin.

was torn between bale and hardy on this one, i went with bale because he really brought a good performance in this one, i honestly thought that while TDK was an awesome movies, christian bale wasnt quite as "on" as he was in begins, but he was excellent in TDKR so i voted for him...even tho hardys bane was badass :)

Alot of really good performances this year but the best was Karl Urbain with honourable mentions to Josh Brolin and Mark Ruffalo.
As much as I like Bale in other roles (Patrick Bateman especially) his Batman is a cut below.

Damn. This is [frick]ing tough!
I voted for Hathaway. I bitched about her being Catwoman ever since the announcement of her being involved. But in a movie where performances devolved from it's predecessors (TDK and BB), she shined, tremendously.
I mean, I was still skeptical sitting in the TDK movie marathon midnight release for it. But when she murmured the line "Oops" and the way she did those little motions really showed me that she has come a hell of a long ways from Princess Diaries. She, in my own opinion, did the only acting job worthy of a grade A rating in TDKR.
It's too bad her costume was everything less than decent though. I mean, we could've gotten a sick goggles and cowl Catwoman, or a really skimpy, sexy, half-naked Catwoman...
Doubtfully, but hopefully, we can see Hathaway in a future Batman film, as I enjoyed everytime she was on screen, but before she could play her again, as Senator Brandt said in Captain America: The First Avenger, "Geez, someone get that kid a sandwich!"
I love this statue, for the sole purpose they extremely overcompensated her ASSet.
Next to Anne, Ruffalo did an astounding job, Tom Hiddleston did superb, Tony Stark played a terrific Robert Downey Jr., (as did the rest of the actors with their respected roles in Avengers) and I think Karl Urban surprised us all in Dredd.

Bale, Hardy, Caine, Hathaway, Oldman, Garfield, Hiddleston. It's unfair because tdkr is an ensemble film, it's the most oscar actors in a comicbookmovie.

No one absolutely blew me away, but I really like what Ruffalo did as Banner. I felt he brought back the ol' Bill Bixby vibe to the character.
I still don't get all the love for Hardy. He was pretty much a trick/note pony the whole movie up until his final scene where we saw a quick glimpse of something a little different.

This is tough.
Bale, Cane, Hardy and Hathaway all gave good performances.
Garfield gave a good performance.
RDJ, Ruffalo, and Hiddleston gave good performances.
Hemsworth gave a pretty good performance.
Idk, for some reason I didn't care for Evans in Avengers. I liked him in TFA but I did not give a flip for Cap in Avengers.

If I narrowed it down to 3, it would be Hardy, Garfield and Ruffalo. RDJ and Hiddleston did good, but we've seen them perform before.
Down to 2, eh.........Garfield and Ruffalo.
Then I'd have to give it to Garfield. I thought he did great.

I didnt think about how much great acting there was this year until this poll, from Alfred to Dr Connors.
I am going to have to give this to Andrew Garfield, I would say TASM owes half of its success to his very strong performance.
