Ridley Scott To Produce Dark Horse Comic Book Adaptation MIND MGMT
20th Century Fox has picked up the film rights to Matt Kindt's Dark Horse comic Mind MGMT, with Prometheus director Ridley Scott on board to produce and a writer currently being sought. Hit the jump for more details.

Via The Hollywood Reporter, it has been revealed that 20th Century Fox has picked up the movie rights to the Dark Horse comic book series Mind MGMT, which is written by acclaimed author Matt Kindt. Legendary director Ridley Scott (Blade Runner, Alien, Prometheus) will produce the adaptation via his Scott Free Banner, along with Dark Horse Entertainment’s Mike Richardson and Keith Goldberg. A writer is currently being searched for, while no director is attached yet. Kindt's graphic novel 3 Story: The Secret History Of The Giant Man was previously set up for a film adaptation at Warner Bros., and was even attached to direct. The project is currently in turnaround while the script is being retooled. Meanwhile, Dark Horse has slated a July 19th date for R.I.P.D., which stars Ryan Reynolds and Jeff Bridges. The book centers on a government agency consisting of psychic spies and their greatest asset, a man named Henry Lime. After he suffers a breakdown and loses control of his abilities, causing the populace of a town to kill each other, he goes on the run. Several years later, a true crime author named Meru, who was part of a flight where everyone mysteriously developed amnesia, is saved by Lime and begins to investigate the agency, uncovering her own secret connection to it.
